Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composición polimérica que tiene mejorada resistencia a la flama, bajo desprendimiento de humo y propiedades físicas, caracterizada porque comprende: a) polímero base de haluro de vinilo; b) polietileno clorado; c) un plastificante de ftalato aromático bromado; d) cuando menos un supresor de humo/piro-retardante, seleccionado del grupo que consiste de trióxido de antimonio, óxido molíbdico, trihidrato de aluminio, amina mmolibdatos, oxalato de cobre, borato de zinc, solución sólida de óxido de zinc en óxido de magnesio, carbonato de calcio, carbonato de magnesio, hidróxido de magnesio, óxido de magnesio, esferas cerámicas de alúmina y sus mezclas; e) cuando menos un estabilizante; f) cuando menos un lubricante; y opcionalmente g) uno o varios agentes flexibilizantes adicionales y/o uno ovarios plastificantes; y la composición tiene las siguientes propiedades: (i) calor acumulativo liberado a flujo 20 kW/m2 antes de 15 min. o menos de 100 MJ/m2 como se mide por el calorímetro OSU RHR; y (ii) humo acumulativo liberado a flujo 20 kM/m2 antes de 15 minutos de menos de 400 SMK/m2, medido por el calorímetro OSU RHR.
