Abstract

본 발명은 투명한 기재(14), 부분 반사층(16), 투명한 공간층(18) 및 고도로 반사하는 층(20)을 포함하는 이중층 예비-기록된 광학적 디스크(12)에 관한 것이다. 데이타 피트 유형(15)는 상기 부분 반사층에 인접한 기재상에 제공되며, 또 다른 유형의 데이타 피트(19)는 고도로 반사하는 층에 인접한 공간층상에 제공된다. 부분 반사층은 실리콘 카바이드로 만들어질 수 있다. 기재-입사 빔은 레이저가 어느 층에 집중되느냐에 따라 데이타 피트 유형내에 코드화되는 데이타를 판독하는 데 사용할 수 있다. 상기 이중층 디스크의 데이타 저장 용량은 종래의 단일층 디스크의 두배이다.

Claims (10)

  1. 하나의 주 표면내에 피트 유형(15)를 갖는 투명한 기재(14); 상기 피트 유형에 인접하며, 500 내지 850mm 파장 범위에서 측정할때 실성분 n(2.6〈n〈3.2) 및 허성분 K(0.4 이하)을 갖는 굴절률을 갖는 부분 반사층(16); 투명한 중합체 공간층(18); 및 고도로 반사하는 층(20)을 순차적으로 포함하는 광학적 저장 매체(12).
  2. 하나의 주 표면내에 제 1 데이타 피트 유형(15)를 갖는 투명한 기재(14); 상기 제 1 데이타 피트 유형에 인접하며, 실리콘 카바이드를 포함하는 부분 반사층(16); 부분 반사층에 마주한 공간층의 한 사이드상에 존재하는 하나의 주 표면내에, 제 2 데이타 피트 유형(19)를 갖는 투명한 공간층(18); 및 상기 제 2 데이타 피트 유형에 인접하게 제공되는 고도로 반사하는 층(20)을 순차적으로 포함하는 이중층 예비 기록된 광학적 디스크(12).
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 부분 반사층은 ±10%의 부분 반사층 두께 변화에 걸쳐 ±0.03이하씩 변화하는 내부 표면 반사도를 갖는 매체.
  4. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 부분 반사층은 약 5 내지 약 15%의 산소 원자를 함유하는 실리콘 카바이드를 포함하는 매체.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간층은 약 5 내지 100㎛범위의 두께를 갖는 매체.
  6. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 부분 반사층은 30 내지 80nm 두께를 갖는 매체.
  7. 제2항에 있어서, 부분 반사층내의 실리콘 대 탄소 비는 약 1:1.3인 매체.
  8. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공간층은 광중합체를 포함하며 약 5 내지 100㎛범위의 두께를 갖는 매체.
  9. 하나의 주 표면내에 피트 유형(15)를 갖는 투명한 기재(14); 실리콘 카바이드를 포함하는 부분 반사층(16), 투명한 중합체 공간층(18); 및 고도로 반사하는 층(20)을 순차적으로 포함하는 광학적 저장 매체(12); 상기 기재를 통과하여 매체내로 들어가도록 위치시킨, 촛점을 맞춘 레이저 빔(30); 레이저 빔의 촛점위치를 조정하기 위한 수단(이것에 의해 부분 반사층 또는 고도로 반사하는 층 중 하나위에 상기 빔을 집중시킬 수 있음); 및 상기 매체를 나오는 반사된 레이저 빔을 감지하도록 위치시킨 광감지기(32)를 포함하는 광학적 저장 시스템(10).
  10. 하나의 주 표면내에 제 1 데이타 피트 유형(15)를 갖는 투명한 기재(14); 상기 제 1 데이타 피트 유형에 인접하며, 500 내지 850nm 파장 범위에서 측정할때, 실성분 n(2.6〈n〈3.2) 및 허성분 K(0.4 이하)을 갖는 굴절률을 갖는 부분 반사층(16); 부분 반사층에 마주한 공간층의 한 사이드상에 존재하는 하나의 주 표면내에, 제 2 데이타 피트 유형(19)를 갖는 투명한 공간층(18); 및 상기 제 2 데이타 피트 유형에 인접하게 제공되는 고도로 반사하는 층(20)을 순차적으로 포함하는 이중층 예비 기록된 광학적 디스크(12); 상기 기재를 통과하여 매체내로 들어가도록 위치시킨, 촛점을 맞춘 레이저 빔(30); 레이저 빔의 촛점위치를 조정하기 위한 수단(이것에 의해 부분 반사층 또는 고도로 반사하는 층 중 하나위에 상기 빔을 집중시킬 수 있음); 및 상기 디스크를 나오는 반사된 레이저 빔을 감지하도록 위치시킨 광감지기(32)를 포함하는 예비-기록된 이중층 광학적 디스크 저장 시스템(10).
