Description

플로우트 유리(float glass)상에 산화 금속 코우팅 부착을 위한 장치 및 방법

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 플로우트 유리욕(float glassbath)내 코우터(coater)의 위치를 설명한다.
제2도는 제1도의 코우터의 확대도이다.
제3도는 담체 가스, 코우팅 반응물, 기화기(氣化器) 및 제2도의 코우터를 제공하는 열교환 시스템의 흐름 개요도이다.

Claims (15)

  1. 하기 (a)-(d)단계를 포함하는 유리 기판상에 저 복사율 산화 금속 코우팅을 부착시키는 방법: a. 용융 금속 욕상에 유리 기판을 지지시키는 단계; b. 용융 금속 욕 및 유리 기판상에 비-산화 대기를 유지시키는 단계; c. 상기 용융 금속 욕상에 지지되지 않는 표면상에서 상기 유리 기판과 금속-함유 코우팅 반응물을 접촉시키는 단계; d. 상기 유리 표면상에 산화 금속 필름을 부착시키기 위해 상기 코우팅 반응물을 열적으로 반응시키는 단계.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용융 금속이 주석을 포함하는 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 용융 금속이 근본적으로 주석으로 이루어지는 방법.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 대기가 질소를 포함하는 방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 코우팅 반응물이 유기 주석 화합물인 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 유기 주석 화합물이 모노부틸린트리클로라이드인 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 하나에 있어서, 유리 표면의 온도가 621-677℃(1150-1250℉)인 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 유리 표면의 온도가 약 635 내지 663℃(약 1175 내지 1225℉)인 방법.
  9. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 코우팅반응물이 상기 유리 표면에 증기 형태로 적용되는 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 코우팅 반응물 증기가 상기 유리 표면에 담체 가스로 적용되는 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 코우팅 반응물이 상기 유리 표면에 산화 담체 가스로 적용되는 방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 담체 가스가 공기를 포함하는 방법.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 담체 가스가 근본적으로 공기로 이루어지는 방법.
  14. 하기 (a)-(d)수단을 포함하는, 바닥면이 비-산화 대기 내 용융 금속의 욕에 의해 지지되며, 플로우트 유리 리본인 유리 기판상에 산화 금속 필름을 부착시키는 장치: a. 코우팅 반응물을 기화시키는 수단; b. 상기 유리 리본의 상부표면에 상기 기화된 코우팅 반응물을 전달하는 수단(상기 수단은 본질적으로 코우팅 처리되는 기판 표면의 평행면 만큼 긴 홈-형 오리피스를 갖는 노즐을 포함한다) ; c. 상기 코우팅 반응물의 분해 온도 이하의 균일한 온도에서의 전달을 위해 상기 수단을 유지하는 수단; d. 하류 및 상류가 모두 본질적으로 비반응 코우팅 반응물, 비부착 반응 생성물, 및 반응 부산물 및 담체 가스 모두를 제거할 수 있는 본질적으로 상기 노즐의 길이를 따라 완전히 뻗어 있고 상기 노즐에 인접한 배기 수단.
  15. 제14항에 있어서, 균일 온도를 유지하는 상기 수단이 재순환 오일 열교환 시스템을 포함하는 장치.
