Claims (20)
- a) 디젤엔진의 하류에 위치하며, 디젤엔진으로부터 유래하는 배기가스가 통과하는 촉매화된 슈트 필터;b) 촉매화된 슈트 필터의 하류에 위치하고, 디젤엔진으로부터 유래하는 배기가스가 촉매화된 슈트 필터를 통과한 후에 통과하게 되는 SCR 촉매; 및c) SCR 촉매를 통과할 때 배기가스내의 상승된 온도에서 NOx를 환원시키는 경향이 있는 환원제를 계량하는 계량밸브를 포함하는, 디젤엔진에서 사용하기 위한 배기 후처리 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 환원제가 암모니아이고, 계량밸브는 촉매화된 슈트 필터와 SCR 촉매 사이의 위치에서 암모니아를 계량하는 시스템.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 우레아와 같은 암모니아 전구체로부터 가스 또는 액체 형태의 암모니아를 생성시키기 위한 혼합구역을 계량밸브의 상류에 추가로 포함하는 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 고온 또는 저온 타입의 희박 NOx 촉매이고, 환원제는 탄화수소인 시스템.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 계량밸브가 촉매화된 슈트 필터의 상류에 위치하는 시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 촉매화된 슈트 필터 및 희박 NOx 촉매가 단일 브릭으로 형성되는데, 브릭은 슈트 필터로 작용하는 상류의 촉매화된 부분 및 희박 NOx 촉매로 작용하는 하류의 촉매화된 부분을 갖는 시스템.
- a) 각각의 채널이 하나의 차단된 말단을 가지며 인접한 쌍의 채널에서 반대의 말단에서 차단된, 축방향으로 연장된 복수의 채널로 형성된 가스 투과성 벽면을 갖는 벽면-유동형의 엔진에 인접한 촉매화된 슈트 필터 (여기에서, 배기가스는 가스가 슈트 필터의 유입구로부터 유출구까지 이동함에 따라서 채널 벽면을 통해서 통과한다);b) 질소 환원제와, 및 슈트 필터로부터 유출된 후의 배기가스와 유체 연결상태로 슈트 필터의 유출구의 하류에 위치하는 밸브;c) 배기가스에 도입되는 질소 환원제의 양을 조절하기 위한 밸브 제어 수단; 및d) 배기가스가 슈트 필터를 통과한 후에 설정량의 환원제와 함께 설정된 공간속도로 SCR 촉매를 통과하는 경우에 SCR 촉매가 촉매적으로 활성이 되는 온도보다 더 높은 온도로서, 배기가스가 엔진으로부터 유출된 직후에 설정량의 환원제를 갖는 SCR 촉매를 통과하는 경우에 SCR 촉매가 설정된 공간속도에 대해서 촉매적으로 활성이 되는 설정온도를 갖는, 밸브 및 슈트 필터의 하류에 위치하는 질소 환원제 SCR 촉매를 포함하는, 디젤엔진을 동력으로하는 운송수단에 의해서 생성된 배기가스를 처리하기 위한 방출물 정제 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 슈트 필터가 적어도 25 g/ft3의 귀금속 코팅을 함유하는 촉매화된 표면을 갖는 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 제올라이트, 철 및 구리로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 프로모터, 및 내화 결합제의 촉매 조성을 갖는 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 질소 환원제가 암모니아이고, 배기가스에 대해서 계량하여 첨가된 환원제의 양이 1.5의 표준화된 화학량론적 비를 초과하지 않는 시스템.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 슈트 필터의 하류에 위치하는 SCR 촉매의 촉매적 활성온도가 약 200 EC 미만인 시스템.
- a) 각각의 채널이 하나의 말단에서는 차단되고 그의 반대 말단에서는 개방되며, 인접한 채널의 쌍은 반대 채널 말단에서 차단된, 축방향으로 연장된 채널로 형성되며 그의 양면상에 촉매화된 가스 다공성 벽면을 포함하는 촉매화된 슈트 필터를 엔진의 하류에 제공하고b) 개방말단 채널을 한정하는 것으로 엔진과 직면하고 있는 개방말단을 갖는 채널내로 배기가스를 유동시키고, NO를 개방말단 채널의 촉매화된 벽표면과 접촉시킴으로써 산화시켜 NO2를 생성시키고, 생성된 NO2를 개방말단 채널내에서 VOF와 반응시켜 NO2를 NO로 환원시키고;c) 생성된 NO를 밀폐말단 채널을 한정하는 것으로 엔진과 직면하고 있는 차단말단을 갖는 채널내로 벽면을 통해서 유동시키고, NO를 밀폐말단 채널상의 촉매화된 벽표면과 접촉시킴으로써 산화시켜 NO2를 생성시키고 (여기에서, 배기가스는 슈트 필터에 도입할 때 보다 슈트 필터에서 배출될 때 더 높은 NO2농도를 갖는다);d) 슈트 필터의 하류에서 배기 스트림에 설정량의 질소 환원제를 주입하고;e) 모노리스상에 SCR 촉매를 제공하고;f) 환원제가 주입된 가스를 SCR 촉매상에 그와 접촉하도록 통과시켜 NOx를 환원시키는 단계를 포함하는, 경하중 디젤엔진을 포함하는 디젤엔진을 동력으로하는 운송수단에 의해서 생성되는 것으로 질소 산화물 NOx를 포함하며 이 NOx의 조성의 적어도 50%는 산화질소 (NO)로 이루어지는 배기가스 방출물을 처리하는 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서, 슈트 필터가 적어도 25 g/ft3의 백금 금속족을 함유하는 촉매화된 표면을 갖는 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 제올라이트, 철 및 구리로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 프로모터, 및 내화 결합제의 촉매 조성을 갖는 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 질소 환원제가 암모니아이고, 배기가스에 대해서 계량하여 첨가된 환원제의 양이 1.5의 표준화된 화학량론적 비를 초과하지 않는 방법.
- a) NOx 배기가스를 촉매 슈트 필터에 즉시 통과시킴으로써 엔진에 의해서 일차적으로 생성된 NOx 가스내에 존재하는 NO2농도를 증가시키고;b) 배기가스가 촉매화된 슈트 필터로부터 유출된 후에 배기가스내에 암모니아 환원제를 계량하여 도입시키고;c) 배기가스를 NOx를 환원시키기 위한 SCR 촉매를 통해서 환원제와 함께 통과시키는 단계를 포함하는, 약 200 EC 정도로 낮은 배기가스 작동온도를 갖는 경하중 디젤엔진 및 유사한 엔진을 동력으로하는 운송수단에 의해서 생성된 NOx 방출물을 환원시키는 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서, 슈트 필터가 적어도 25 g/ft3의 백금 금속족을 함유하는 촉매화된 표면을 갖는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 제올라이트, 철 및 구리로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 프로모터, 및 내화 결합제의 촉매 조성을 갖는 방법.
- 제 18 항에 있어서, 질소 환원제가 암모니아이고, 배기가스에 대해서 계량하여 첨가된 환원제의 양이 1.5의 표준화된 화학량론적 비를 초과하지 않는 방법.
- 제 19 항에 있어서, 배기가스를 그 안에 함유된 방출물을 더 처리하지 않고, SCR 촉매로부터 유출된 후에 즉시 대기에 통과시키는 방법.
