Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- 그것들 사이에 셀간극을 형성하도록 서로 대향하는 제1 및 제2패널들로서, 제1 및 제2패널들의 각각이 기판과 상기 셀간극에 인접한 상기 기판 위에 놓인 적어도 하나의 제1막을 구비한 제1 및 제2패널;상기 셀간극내에 채워진 액정; 및상기 제1패널 및 제2패널간의 상기 액정내에 배치되고, 상기 제1막내에 형성된 개구로부터 노출된 영역에서 상기 제1패널과 접촉하는 복수의 기둥모양 이격기들을 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2패널들은 각각 박막트랜지스터(TFT)패널 및 칼라필터패널이고, 상기 제1막은 유기절연막인 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들은 상기 제2패널상에 형성되어 상기 제1패널에 접하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들은 상기 제1패널상에 형성되어 상기 제2패널에 접하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 및 제2패널들은 각각 박막트랜지스터(TFT)패널 및칼라필터패널이고, 상기 적어도 하나의 제1막은 블랙매트릭스막, 칼라막 및 오버코트막을 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 개구는 상기 블랙매트릭스막, 칼라막 및 오버코트막을 패터닝함으로써 형성되는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 개구는, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들을 형성한 후, 상기 블랙매트릭스막, 칼라막 및 오버코트막을 형성함으로써 형성되는 액정표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들의 적어도 한 표면은 물에 대해 30도 이상의 접촉각(contact angle)을 갖는 재료로 구성된 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들은 박막트랜지스터가 형성된 영역의 외부 또는 그 주위에 배치된 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기들은 단차영역이나 그 주위에는 형성되지 않는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기둥모양 이격기는 상기 제2패널의 상기 제1막에 형성된 개구로부터 노출된 위치에서 상기 제2패널과 접촉하는 액정표시장치.
