Claims (39)
- 백킹 (backing); 및상기 백킹의 표면에 접착된 적어도 하나의 3차원 연마 코팅을 포함하며,상기 연마 코팅은 다수의 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자 및 연마 코팅의 약 40 내지 약 60 중량%를 구성하는 충전제가 내부에 분산되어 있는 경화된 바인더 전구체로부터 형성된 바인더를 포함하는 것인,유리 또는 유리 세라믹 작업편을 연마하기에 적합한 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자의 평균 입도가 약 6 내지 약 100 ㎛인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 메타규산칼슘, 백색 산화알루미늄, 탄산칼슘, 실리카 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 메타규산칼슘과 백색 산화알루미늄인 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 연마 코팅의 약 50 내지 약 60 중량%를 구성하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 백킹이 폴리에스테르 필름, 코-폴리에스테르 필름, 폴리이미드 필름 및 폴리아미드 필름으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 중합성 필름인 것인 연마 용품.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 백킹이 폴리에틸렌 아크릴산의 타이층 (tie layer)을 갖는 폴리에스테르 필름인 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 백킹과 연마 코팅이 일체형으로 성형된 것인 연마 용품.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 일체형으로 성형된 백킹이 우레탄 중합체를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바인더가 일관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체, 이관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체, 삼관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 경화된 바인더 전구체를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바인더가 트리스(히드록시에틸)이소시아누레이트와 트리메틸올프로판 트리아크릴레이트의 혼합물을 포함하는 경화된 바인더 전구체를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 3차원 연마 코팅이 다수의 정확한 형상의 연마 복합재 (composites)를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 정확한 형상의 연마 복합재가 입방체형, 블록형, 원통형, 프리즘형, 피라미드형, 끝이 잘린 피라미드형, 원추형, 끝이 잘린 원추형, 십자형, 꼭대기면이 평평한 기둥형(post-like) 및 반구형으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 형상을 갖는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 정확한 형상의 연마 복합재가 끝이 잘린 피라미드형인 연마 용품.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 끝이 잘린 피라미드형 복합재가 바닥 표면적을 한정하는 바닥면과 꼭대기 표면적을 한정하는 꼭대기면을 갖고, 상기 바닥 표면적은 꼭대기 표면적보다 약 15% 이하로 더 큰 것인 연마 용품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자가 약 35 내지 94 부피%의 미세다공성의 비융합된(nonfused) 금속 산화물 연속 매트릭스 전체에 분포된, 약 6 내지 65 부피%의 다이아몬드 입자를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 금속 산화물 매트릭스는 누프(Knoop) 경도가 1,000 미만이고, 산화지르콘, 산화규소, 산화알루미늄, 산화마그네슘 및 산화티탄으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 금속 산화물을 포함하는 것인 연마 용품.
- 제17항에 있어서, 상기 금속 산화물 매트릭스가 산화규소인 연마 용품.
- (a) 유리 또는 유리 세라믹 작업편을,백킹; 및 상기 백킹의 표면에 접착된 적어도 하나의 3차원 연마 코팅을 포함하며, 상기 연마 코팅은 다수의 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자 및 연마 코팅의 약 40 내지 약 60 중량%를 구성하는 충전제가 내부에 분산되어 있는 경화된 바인더 전구체로부터 형성된 바인더를 포함하는 것인 연마 용품의 연마 코팅에 접촉시키는 단계;(b) 상기 작업편과 연마 용품 사이의 계면에 윤활제를 도포하는 단계; 및(c) 상기 작업편과 연마 용품을 연마 코팅이 작업편을 연마하도록 서로 상대적으로 이동시키는 단계를 포함하는, 유리 또는 유리 세라믹 작업편의 연마 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 윤활제가 물과, 아민, 광유, 케로센, 광물 스피릿 (spirits), 수용성 오일 에멀젼, 폴리에틸렌이민, 에틸렌 글리콜, 모노에탄올아민, 디에탄올아민, 트리에탄올아민, 프로필렌 글리콜, 아민 보레이트, 붕산, 아민 카르복실레이트, 소나무 오일, 인돌, 티오아민염, 아미드, 헥사히드로-1,3,5-트리에틸트리아진, 카르복실산, 나트륨 2-머캅토벤조티아졸, 이소프로판올아민, 트리에틸렌디아민 테트라아세트산, 프로필렌 글리콜 메틸 에테르, 벤조트리아졸, 나트륨 2-피리딘티올-1-옥시드, 헥실렌 글리콜 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 첨가제와의 혼합물을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 윤활제가 물 중 약 20 중량%의 글리세롤을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 유리 세라믹 작업편이 메모리 디스크 기판인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자의 평균 입도가 약 6 내지 약 100 ㎛인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 메타규산칼슘, 백색 산화알루미늄, 탄산칼슘, 실리카 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 메타규산칼슘과 백색 산화알루미늄인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 충전제가 연마 코팅의 약 50 내지 약 60 중량%를 구성하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 백킹이 폴리에스테르 필름, 코-폴리에스테르 필름, 폴리이미드 필름 및 폴리아미드 필름으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 중합성 필름인 방법.
- 제27항에 있어서, 상기 백킹이 폴리에틸렌 아크릴산의 타이층을 갖는 폴리에스테르 필름인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 백킹과 연마 코팅이 일체형으로 성형된 것인 방법.
- 제29항에 있어서, 상기 일체형으로 성형된 백킹이 우레탄 중합체를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 바인더가 일관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체, 이관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체, 삼관능성 아크릴레이트 단량체 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 경화된 바인더 전구체를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 바인더가 트리스(히드록시에틸) 이소시아누레이트와 트리메틸올프로판 트리아크릴레이트의 혼합물을 포함하는 경화된 바인더 전구체를포함하는 것인 방법.

- 제33항에 있어서, 상기 정확한 형상의 연마 복합재가 입방체형, 블록형, 원통형, 프리즘형, 직사각형, 피라미드형, 끝이 잘린 피라미드형, 원추형, 끝이 잘린 원추형, 십자형, 꼭대기면이 평평한 기둥형 및 반구형으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 형상을 갖는 것인 방법.
- 제33항에 있어서, 상기 정확한 형상의 연마 복합재가 끝이 잘린 피라미드형인 방법.
- 제35항에 있어서, 상기 끝이 잘린 피라미드형 복합재가 바닥 표면적을 한정하는 바닥면과 꼭대기 표면적을 한정하는 꼭대기면을 갖고, 상기 바닥 표면적은 꼭대기 표면적보다 약 15% 이하로 더 큰 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 비드 연마 입자가 약 35 내지 94 부피%의 미세다공성의 비융합된 금속 산화물 연속 매트릭스 전체에 분포된, 약 6 내지 65 부피%의 다이아몬드 입자를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제37항에 있어서, 상기 금속 산화물 매트릭스는 누프 경도가 1,000 미만이고, 산화지르콘, 산화규소, 산화알루미늄, 산화마그네슘 및 산화티탄으로 이루어진 군 중에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 금속 산화물을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제38항에 있어서, 상기 금속 산화물 매트릭스가 산화규소인 방법.
