Claims (9)
- 하기 화학식 1의 액정 화합물:화학식 1상기 식에서,R1은 치환되지 않거나 CN 또는 CF3에 의해 일치환되거나 할로겐에 의해 하나 이상 치환(일치환 이상)되는 탄소수 1 내지 15의 알킬 라디칼이며, 상기 알킬 라디칼에서 하나 이상의 CH2 기는 O 원자가 서로 직접 연결되지 않도록 -O-, -S-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C-, -OC-O- 또는 -O-CO-로 대체될 수 있고,A1 및 A2는 각각 서로 독립적으로 (a) 1개 또는 2개의 이웃하지 않는 CH2 기가 -O- 또는 -S-로 대체될 수 있는 1,4-사이클로헥세닐렌 또는 1,4-사이클로헥실렌 라디칼; (b) 1개 또는 2개의 CH 기가 N에 의해 대체될 수 있는 1,4-페닐렌 라디칼; 또는 (c) 피페리딘-1,4-디일, 1,4-비사이클로[2.2.2]옥틸렌, 페난트렌-2,7-디일, 나프탈렌-2,6-디일, 데카하이드로나프탈렌-2,6-디일 및 1,2,3,4-테트라하이드로나프탈렌-2,6-디일로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 라디칼이며, 상기 라디칼 (a), (b) 및 (c)는 할로겐 원자에 의해 일치환 또는 다치환될 수 있고,Z1 및 Z2는 각각 서로 독립적으로 -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -CH2O-, -OCH2-, -CH2CH2-, -(CH2)4-, -C2F4-, -CH2CF2-, -CF2CH2-, -CF=CF-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C- 또는 단일 결합이되, 상기 브릿지 Z1 및 Z2 중 하나 이상은 -CF2O- 또는 -OCF2-이고,a는 0, 1 또는 2이고,b는 1 또는 2이고L1, L2 및 L3은 각각 서로 독립적으로 H, F 또는 Cl이다.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,R1이 탄소수 1 내지 10의 직쇄 알킬 라디칼 또는 탄소수 2 내지 10의 알케닐 라디칼임을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,a와 b의 합(a+b)이 1 또는 2임을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,L1이 불소이고 L2가 불소 또는 수소임을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,L2 및 L3이 불소임을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 1 항에 따른 화학식 1의 화합물을 하나 이상 포함함을 특징으로 하는, 메소겐성 화합물을 둘 이상 포함하는 액정 매질.
- 제 7 항에 따른 액정 매질을 전기광학 용도로 사용하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 따른 액정 매질을 함유하는 전기광학 액정 디스플레이.
