Abstract
Description
例えば、レンガ型の液体用紙容器の製造は、紙層の表裏に熱可塑性樹脂層を持たせた包材に、容器用罫線を施し、包材の端部にエッジプロテクトテープを貼り、これを筒状に成形し包材端部どうしを縦方向で重ねて貼ることで、筒状形状の筒状包材とする。続けて、この筒状包材の下端部を横断方向にシールし、筒状包材の筒の中に内容物を充填した状態で液中シールして仕切った後、立体形状に成形することで紙容器となる。
公知文献を以下に示す。
本発明は、上記のような点に着目したもので、ホーンを冷却することで、より安定した超音波シールを実現可能とすることを目的とする。
ここで、ホーン先端部表面が撥水性を具備している場合には、フレーム部から吹き出す流体との相乗効果により、ホーン先端部に付着した液体内容物等をより積極的に除去する効果をもたらす。
図3はレンガ型液体紙容器の製造工程と本発明の装置のシール部を示す模式図である。
図3に示すように、シート状包材17が、ロール状に巻かれ且つ容器用罫線が施された原反19から巻き出される。そのシート状包材17は、処理部16にて、包材端部どうしを重ねて貼り合わされ、エッジプロテクトテープで重ね合わせ部分の内側の端部を覆うように縦状にシールされて、筒状になる。処理部16は、シート状包材17を筒状に変形する変換部(縦シール部)及び液体内容物充填部からなる。
上述の処理で、包材17は筒状になっており、中には液体内容物が入っている。これが、上から下に下りていき超音波シール部を通過する。このとき、熱可塑性樹脂層を有する包材がその熱可塑性樹脂層同士が向き合うように互いに重ね合わされており、その重ね合わせ部に、積層体の厚さ方向である両側から、ホーン12とアンビル13とを押し当てて当該重ね合わせ部をシールする。
すなわち、超音波発振器24の駆動によりコンバータ21が発振することで、ホーン12は超音波振動する。その振動しているホーン12は、押し当てられた包材を溶着する。ホーン12の押し当ては、押し当て機構14を構成するカム機構、油圧又は空気圧シリンダーによって行われる。押し当てのタイミングはソレノイドバルブの動作タイミングで行い、また押し当て圧力は空気圧によって調整される。アンビル13は、上下対称に構成された、一対のシールバー23を保有している。一対のシールバー23は、振動するホーン12と共にそれぞれ包材の上部と下部とを溶着し、その後、包材の上部と下部の間が断裁刃15によって分断される。このようにして、液体内容物が入った紙容器が形成される。コンバータ21及びホーン12を有する超音波振動発生器は、ケース部25によって覆われている。
図6は、本実施形態における超音波振動発生器のケース部25およびフレーム部26の一例を示している。図4に示される超音波振動発生器がコンバータ21、ホーン12からなる場合には、ケース部25はコンバータ21、ホーン12の一部分を格納している。図5に示される超音波振動発生器がコンバータ21、ブースタ22、ホーン12からなる場合には、ケース部25はコンバータ21、ブースタ22、ホーン12の一部分を格納している。ホーン12の一部分とは、ホーン12の本体部分であり、本体部分にホーン12の先端部12aが一体に設けられている。
フレーム部26は、ホーン12の先端部の側周に位置している。フレーム部26は、先端枠28と棒状物27とを備える。
本実施形態の超音波シール装置は、先端枠28内にエア31を供給する流体供給管30を具備し、ホーン12を冷却するためのエア31が吹き出す機能を備える。先端枠28の内周面には、穴状やスリット状の開口部28aを有し、その開口部28aからホーン12の先端部12aに向けてエア31が吹き出すようになっている。なお、エア31は、不図示のコンプレッサなどによって流体供給管30に圧送される。
中空の先端枠28及び開口部28aが吹き出す機能を構成する。エア31は常温であるが、別途、熱交換器などで温度降下してから先端枠28に供給しても良い。
なお、先端枠28内に供給される流体はエア(圧縮空気)に限定されず、不活性ガスなどであっても良い。また流体は水であっても良い。
また、フレーム部26はストッパ29を有する。ストッパ29は、図6に示すように、先端枠28におけるアンビル13と対向する面に設けられ、アンビル13側に向けて突出している。ストッパ29の先端位置は、ホーン12の先端部12aの先端位置よりもアンビル13側に位置するように設定されている。図6では、ストッパ29が、上下で対を為し、その突出量が同じ値に設定されている。
また、ホーン12は、少なくとも先端部12aの表面に対し撥水加工が施されている。
超音波シール中に、フレーム部26の先端枠28からホーン先端部12aに向けてエア31が吹き付けられる。これによって超音波シール中は、ホーン12の先端部12aを常時冷却することとなり、超音波振動による、より安定したシールを実現する。
また、ホーン12、特に先端部12aは撥水加工が施されており、撥水加工とフレーム部26から吹き出されるエア31との相乗効果により、少なくともホーン先端部12aに付着した液体内容物や包材断裁時に発生する紙粉等の汚れを積極的に除去する効果をもたらす。なお、吹き出されるエア31がエアカーテンとしても作用する。
また、従来付着物の定期的な洗浄作業を必要とし、通常であればケースごと取り外さなければならなかったが、フレーム化によって容易にホーン先端部12aへアクセス可能となり、フレーム部26を設けても当該フレーム部26を取り外す必要が無くなり、汚れの除去に関する作業負荷が軽減された。
また超音波振動発生器のフレーム部26の先端枠28にはホーン12及びアンビル13が筒状包材を介さない状態において直接当接せず、ホーン12とアンビル13の間が一定の距離に規制するストッパ29を具備している。このストッパ29により、ホーン12及びアンビル13が直接当接したときの超音波発振を防止することが可能となった。
ここでは、限られた数の実施形態を参照しながら説明したが、権利範囲はそれらに限定されるものではなく、上記の開示に基づく各実施形態の改変は当業者にとって自明なことである。すなわち、本発明は、以上に記載した各実施形態に限定されうるものではない。当業者の知識に基づいて各実施形態に設計の変更等を加えることが可能であり、そのような変更等を加えた態様も本発明の範囲に含まれる。

Claims (3)
- 熱可塑性樹脂層を有する包材をその熱可塑性樹脂層同士が向き合うように互いに重ね合わせ、その重ね合わせた部分に両側からホーンとアンビルとを押し当てて当該重ね合わせた部分をシールする超音波シール装置であって、
前記ホーンと前記アンビルとフレーム部とを備え、
前記ホーンは超音波振動するものであり、
前記アンビルは、前記ホーンとの間で前記包材を押圧するものであり、
前記フレーム部は、前記ホーンの先端部に向けて流体を吹き出す機構を有するものであることを特徴とする超音波シール装置。 - 前記フレーム部がストッパを具備しており、
前記ストッパは、前記ホーンと前記アンビルとの間に前記包材を介在させない状態のとき、前記ホーンと前記アンビルとが直接当接しないように、前記ホーンと前記アンビルとの間の距離を規制するものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波シール装置。 - 前記ホーンの少なくとも前記先端部に撥水加工が施されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の超音波シール装置。
