Abstract
Description
上記のような知見に基づき完成された本発明の要旨とするところは、次の通りである。
(2) 前記地鉄の片面は前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層と前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有し、前記片面と反対の面は前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層および前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有しない、(1)に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
(3) 前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層および前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有しない面におけるZnおよび/またはNiの付着量が0.01〜0.5g/m2である、(2)に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
(4) 前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層を断面観察した場合に、前記クラックが100μmの視野あたり5個以上50個以下存在する、(1)〜(3)の何れか1項に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
(5)前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層を断面観察することで得られる、100μmの視野あたりの前記クラックの個数X個と、前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜中のP+V+Ti+Zrの各金属換算量の合計の濃度Y(%)が、以下の(I)式で表わされる関係を満足する、(1)〜(4)の何れか1項に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。

(6)前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層を断面観察した場合に、前記クラックが100μmの視野あたり5個以上50個未満存在し、かつ、クラックの最大幅が0.5μm未満である、(5)に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
Zn−Ni合金めっき層にクラックを有しない鋼板は、プレス加工等によって表面の皮膜及びめっき層に損傷を受ける。そうすると、疵部の地鉄が露出し、めっき層の犠牲防食作用だけでは十分ではなく、腐食が進行する。一方、本発明の鋼板は、プレス加工等によって表面の皮膜及びめっき層に損傷を受けて、疵部の地鉄が露出するが、めっき層クラックに侵入した化成皮膜が露出した地鉄近傍に存在しており、後述するように本発明の化成皮膜中からは腐食抑制作用のある特定の物質が溶出して地鉄を保護するため、顕著に腐食を抑制することが可能となる。
クロメートフリー化成皮膜は、シランカップリング剤の重縮合物からなる有機ケイ素化合物と、(i)リン酸化合物及び/又はホスホン酸化合物と、(ii)バナジウム化合物と、(iii)チタン化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物と、からなるものである。ここで、かかる化成皮膜の片面当たりのP+V+Ti+Zrの各金属換算量の合計の濃度(より詳細には、片面当たりの化成皮膜全体の固形分質量に対する、上記(i)〜(iii)の化合物の各金属換算量の合計質量)は、5質量%以上20質量%以下であることが必要である。
かかるクラックの存在は、サンプルを樹脂埋めした後、断面垂直研磨を行い、断面SEM観察を行うことで確認することができる。この際、1000倍程度の倍率で、100μmの視野を観察し、めっき表層から地鉄に達するクラックが、5個以上50個以下存在することがより好ましい。例えば100μmの視野でのクラック数が5個未満のように、クラックが少ない場合には、燃料耐食性が低下する傾向にある。一方、例えば100μmの視野でのクラック数が50個超過のように、クラックが多すぎる場合には、塩水環境のような一般的な耐食性が低下する傾向にある。本実施形態に係るZn−Ni合金めっき層において、100μmの視野でのクラックの個数は、より好ましくは、10個以上40個以下である。
(実施例1〜27及び比較例1〜6)
極低炭素鋼板を原板とし、硫酸酸性めっき浴を用い、電気めっきによって、片面当たりの付着量が15g/m2であり、Ni10質量%のZn−Ni合金めっき層を形成し、めっき浴中で通電を切って3秒間保持することで、所定のめっき層クラックを形成した。なお、使用した硫酸酸性めっき浴は、硫酸Zn七水和物:200g/L、硫酸Ni六水和物:380g/L、硫酸Na:80g/L、硫酸:10g/Lからなる50℃の浴である。その後、表1に示すベース皮膜に、リン酸化合物及び/又はホスホン酸化合物と、バナジウム化合物と、チタン化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物と、を表2に示す配合で含有させた種々のクロメートフリー化成皮膜を、得られたZn−Ni合金めっき層の上層に所定量形成した。クロメートフリー化成皮膜の形成は、バーコーターによる塗布と熱風乾燥炉による焼付け(到達板温100℃)により行った。なお、クロメートフリー化成皮膜の付着量及びP+V+Ti+Zrの各金属換算量の合計の濃度は、上記の蛍光X線法により測定した。
Zn−Ni合金めっき後に、めっき浴中無通電浸漬処理を行わなかった以外は上記と同様にして、作製した。
作製したサンプルを樹脂埋めした後、断面垂直研磨を実施して、断面SEM観察を行った。1000倍の倍率で、100μmの視野を観察し、めっき表層から地鉄に達するクラックの数を計測した。また、上記視野中でめっき表層から地鉄に達するクラックの中で最も開口幅の大きなクラックを10000倍でSEM観察し、最大幅を計測した。
作製したサンプルを、燃料タンクを模擬して内径50mm、深さ35mmの円筒状に成形し、脱脂処理で油を除去した後、内面底にカッターで地鉄に達する疵をつけた(プレス加工での疵入りを模擬)。その後、劣化ガソリンを模擬した試験液(蟻酸100ppm、酢酸300ppm、塩化物イオン100ppm、水1.0容量%を含有するガソリン)を封入し、40℃で2ヶ月間保持した後、錆除去を行い、腐食による最大板厚減少値(mm)を測定した。
サンプルの裏面、エッジをシールし、JISZ2371に規定された塩水噴霧試験を72時間行い、白錆発生面積率(%)を計測した。
一方、比較例1,2,3は、本発明のクロメートフリー化成皮膜の構成要件である、P、V、Ti(及び/又はZr)のいずれかを含まず、劣化ガソリン耐食性、SST耐食性とも劣っていた。また、P、V、Ti(及び/又はZr)を含んでいても、その合計濃度が本発明の下限値未満の場合(比較例4)には、劣化ガソリン耐食性が劣り、また、上限値超過の場合(比較例5)には、劣化ガソリン耐食性に加えてSST耐食性も劣っていた。有機樹脂を主体とする皮膜(比較例6)においても、劣化ガソリン耐食性が劣っていた。また、Zn−Ni合金めっき層がクラックを有しない場合(比較例7〜10)も劣化ガソリン耐食性が劣っていた。なお、本発明のクロメートフリー化成皮膜の構成要件を満たさない例においては、Zn−Ni合金めっき層がクラックを有する場合の方が劣化ガソリン耐食性、SST耐食性ともに低下する傾向であった(比較例3と8、4と9、6と10の比較)。
(実施例28〜80)
極低炭素鋼板を原板とし、硫酸酸性めっき浴を用い、電気めっきによって、片面当たりの付着量が15g/m2であり、Ni10質量%のZn−Ni合金めっき層を形成し、めっき浴中で通電を切って浸漬する際の温度、時間を種々変更し、所定のめっき層クラックを形成した。めっき浴は、上記実験例1と同じものを用い、温度は50〜65℃、浸漬時間は1秒〜5秒の間で変更した。その後、表2に示す種々の組成のクロメートフリー化成皮膜を、上記実験例1と同様にして、所定量形成した。また、クロメートフリー化成皮膜の付着量及びP+V+Ti+Zrの各金属換算量の合計の濃度は、上記の蛍光X線法により測定した。
特に、劣化ガソリン耐食性に関しては、(I)式を満たすものは、板厚減少が0であり、特に優れた劣化ガソリン耐食性を示した。また、クラック幅が0.5μm未満では、SST耐食性での白錆発生率が1%未満であり、優れたSST耐食性を示した。特に、クラック幅が0.5μm未満でクラック数が50個未満では、いずれの条件でもSST耐食性での白錆発生率がゼロであり、特に優れていた。
(実施例81〜88)
燃料タンクの内面になる面は実施例1と同様に作製したが、燃料タンクの外面になる面は種々変更した。実施例81では外面に皮膜を施さなかった。実施例82,83は、外面になる面のめっきをブラシ研削によって完全に除去した。その後実施例82での所定の皮膜を塗布した。実施例84〜88は、前記方法で完全にめっきを除去した外面に、再度、電気めっきによって所定の付着量のZn、Niを付着させた。
(塗装性)
燃料タンクの外面になる面の塗装性を評価した。通常、自動車または二輪車用の燃料タンク外面用の塗装前処理(りん酸亜鉛処理)および電着塗装を行い、その外観を目視判定した。許容レベルのものを○、極めて均一美麗な場合を「◎」と評価した。
作製したサンプルに、防錆油(パーカー興産Noxrust530)を極薄塗油(約0.1g/m2)した後、コイル状態を模擬して内面になる面と外面になる面とが接するように重ねて梱包した。50℃98%RH環境下で1か月保管したサンプルを用いて、前述の塗装性評価と同じ塗装を行い、同じ基準で評価した。
内面になる面同士が内側になる様に合せてシーム溶接を行い、溶接電流を変化させて、適正なナゲットが得られる電流の範囲を求めた。条件は以下のとおりである。
・電極:Cu−Cr合金、中央部が15mmRの4.5mm幅、端部が4mmRの幅8mmの断面を有する円盤状電極
・溶接方法:二重かさね、ラップシーム溶接
・加圧力:400kgf(なお、1kgfは、約9.8Nである)
・通電時間:2/50秒通電on、1/50秒通電off
・冷却:内部水冷、および外部水冷
・溶接スピード:2.5m/分
Claims (6)
- 地鉄の片面または両面に位置するZn−Ni合金めっき層と、
前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層の上層に位置するクロメートフリー化成皮膜と、
を備え、
前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層は、当該Zn−Ni合金めっき層と前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜との界面から、前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層と前記鋼板との界面に達するクラックを有しており、
前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜は、シランカップリング剤の重縮合物からなる有機ケイ素化合物と、リン酸化合物及び/又はホスホン酸化合物と、バナジウム化合物と、チタン化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物とからなり、
前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜の片面当たりにおける、前記リン酸化合物及び/又はホスホン酸化合物+前記バナジウム化合物+前記チタン化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物の各金属換算量の合計の濃度が、5質量%以上20質量%以下である、燃料タンク用鋼板。 - 前記地鉄の片面は前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層と前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有し、前記片面と反対の面は前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層および前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有しない、請求項1に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
- 前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層および前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜を有しない面におけるZnおよび/またはNiの付着量が0.01〜0.5g/m2である、請求項2に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
- 前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層を断面観察した場合に、前記クラックが100μmの視野あたり5個以上50個以下存在する、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
- 前記Zn−Ni合金めっき層を断面観察することで得られる、100μmの視野あたりの前記クラックの個数X個と、前記クロメートフリー化成皮膜中のP+V+Ti+Zrの各金属換算量の合計の濃度Y(%)が、以下の(I)式で表わされる関係を満足する、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の燃料タンク用鋼板。
