Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は自動車のフロントウィンド等に取付けられる
ウィンドシールドモールのコーナ一部形成方法に関する
ものである。
近年、自動車用ウィンド／−ルドモールは部品点数が多
いためコストが高くつく金属製ウィンドシールトモニル
に代って樹脂製ウィンドシールトモニルが使用されるよ
うになった。
しかしながら、第１図に示す々ｒ＋　＜ウィンドのコー
ナ一部Ｒの曲率が大きく例えば樹脂製ウィンド／−ルド
モール８の幅よりもかなり大きいような場合は押出し成
形して作られた一本のモール８をその捷ま曲げて取付け
ることが出来てコストが安価となるが、第３図に示す如
くウィンドのコーナ一部Ｒの曲率が非常に小さい場合に
はモールは押出し成形された直線状のもの９と型成形し
て作られたコーナ一部のもの１０とに分けて使用される
必要がありそれだけコスト高を招くという問題があった
。
この発明は上述の如き従来の樹脂製ウィンドシールドモ
ールの欠点を解消するためになされたものである。
第４図乃至第７図に基いてこの発明の詳細な説明する。
。 １はウィンドシールドモールで、帯状装飾部２にひれ３
を有する取付部４を垂直状に突設し、熱ｏＪ′塑性樹脂
により直線状に押出し成形されたものである。
そして、このウィンドシールドモール１を第１図に示す
ような自動車窓のコーナ一部Ｒに沿わずため、１ず第６
図に示す如く該モール１の屈曲形成する部分５の内径側
Ｉに熱風を尚てて加熱Ｈする。
次に、第７図に示す如く隅部６に所定の曲率を有する治
具７を少なくとも前記屈曲部分５の内径側Ｊに当接する
。
最後に、屈曲部分５を空冷または水冷によって冷却し、
ウィンドシールドモール１に自動車窓のコーナ一部Ｒに
適合した所定の曲率を有する屈曲部分５を形成すること
が出来る。
上述した如くこの発明は、帯状装飾部２にひれ３を有す
る取付部４を垂直状に突設し、かつ熱可塑性樹脂により
直線状に揮出し成形されたところのウィンドシールドモ
ール１を１ず自動車窓のコーナ一部Ｒに沿わずだめ該モ
ール１の屈曲形成する部分５の内径側Ｉに熱風を当てて
加熱１−（すると共に隅部６に所定の曲率を有する治具
７を少なくとも前記屈曲部分５の内径細工に当接し、更
に該屈曲部分５を冷却することによりウィンドシールド
モール１を自動車窓のコーナ一部Ｒに適合させるように
したものである。
この発明によれば、熱可塑性樹脂により直線状に押出し
成形されたウィンドシールドモール１をたとえ自動車窓
のコーナ一部Ｒの曲率が非常に小さいような場合でも容
易にその曲率に適合して屈曲形成することが出来るので
、従来の如くコーナ一部Ｒに沿う部分には直線部分とは
別個に型成形した屈曲部品を取付けるような工数のかか
ることをしなくても済み従ってコスト的に有利となる等
の特長がある。々お、この様な発明は建築又は土木用の
目地拐にも適用することが出来る。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は従来のウィンド／−ルドモールのウィツトのコ
ーナ一部が大きい場合の取付状態を示す斜視図、第２図
は第１図の■−■線切断面図、第３図は従来のウィンド
シールドモールのウィンドのコーナ一部が小さい場合の
取付状態を示す斜視図である。第４図乃至第７図はこの
発明に係るウィンドシールドモールのコーナ一部形成方
法を説明するだめのもので、第４図はウィンド７〜ルド
モールの垂直切断正面図、第５図は直線状モールの斜視
図、第６図は直線状モールの屈曲部の加熱状態を示す平
面図、第７図は屈曲された状態のモールの平面図である

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 帯状装飾部にひれを有する取イ」部を垂直状に突設し、
    かつ熱可塑性樹脂により直線状に押出し成形された゛と
    ころのウィンドシールトモニルを捷ず自動車窓のコーナ
    一部に沿わずため該モールの屈曲形成する部分の内径ａ
    ｌｌに熱風を当てて加熱すると共に、隅部に所定の曲率
    を有する治具を少なくとも前記屈曲部分の内径側に当接
    し、更に該屈曲を自動車窓のコーナ一部に適合させるよ
    うにしたことを特徴とするウィンドシールトモニルのコ
    ーナ一部形成方法。
