Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.仮想現実にユーザーを没入させる方法であって、 所定の任意態様で物体が現われかつ動く仮想空間をコンピュータ手段により形 成し、 形成された仮想空間をユーザーに表示し、 仮想空間内の前記物体との相互作用を勘案して外殻内側の現実の空間における ユーザーの実際の身体の手、足及び頭の動きに従って仮想空間を連続的に変換す る工程から成る方法において、 回転中心及び内側面を有しかつ実際の閉鎖空間を限定する閉鎖外殻を形成し、 支持手段を組み立て、前記回転中心の回りを自由回転するように前記外殼を前 記支持手段に取り付け、 重心を有するユーザーの前記外殻への侵入および前記外殻の前記内側面に沿っ た自由な移動を可能にして前記回転中心を通る垂直線に対するユーザーの重心の 移動を可能にし、かつユーザーに仮想空間を表示する手段を与え、 ユーザーに仮想空間を表示する前記手段によって形成された仮想空間を外殻内 側のユーザーに表示し、それによりユーザーの支持点に対する動きを含め、表示 される仮想空間の物体とユーザーとの相互作用が行われ、 前記外殻の中心を通る垂直線に対してユーザーの前記重心が変位している場合 に生じる力のモーメントの作用下で前記外殻を回転させ、この場合前記外殻はユ ーザーの移動方向と反対方向に回転し、 前記外殻に対するユーザーの位置の移動距離と方向を決定し、この移動はユー ザーに表示される仮想現実の物体とユーザーとの相互作用により生じ、 ユーザーの移動の距離及び方向に従って仮想空間の更なる連続的変換を可能に しかつユーザーにそれを表示する工程を含むことを特徴とする方法。 2.前記外殻を強制的に回転させる手段を使用し、 ユーザーの重心が前記外殻の中心を通る垂直線に対して移動している場合に現 れる力のモーメントを最小にするために前記強制回転手段により前記外殻を強制 的に回転させる工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3.閉鎖凸面を外殻として使用する請求項1に記載の方法。 4.球体を上記閉鎖凸面として使用する請求項3に記載の方法。 5.少なくとも3つのボール型支持体を前記外殻の下に装備して前記外殼支持 手段とする請求項1ー4に記載の方法。 6.穿孔外殻を使用する請求項1ー5に記載の方法。 7.透明材料の外殼を使用する請求項1ー6に記載の方法。 8.仮想空間を形成する前記手段を前記外殻の外側に装備する請求項1ー7に 記載の方法。 9.仮想空間を形成する前記手段を前記外殻の内側に装備する請求項1ー7に 記載の方法。 10.仮想空間を形成する前記手段をユーザーに装備する請求項9に記載の方 法。 11.仮想空間を形成する補助手段を固定する支持手段を前記外殻の内側に回 転自在に装備する請求項1に記載の方法。 12.形成された仮想空間をユーザーに表示する手段に接続された、所定の任 意態様で物体が現われ動く仮想空間を形成する手段、及び 仮想空間内の物体との相互作用を勘案して現実の空間におけるユーザーの実際 の手、足及び頭の動きに従って仮想空間を連続的に変 換するユニットを含む仮想現実に没入させるための装置において、 回転中心及び内側面を有しかつ実際の閉鎖空間を限定する閉鎖外殻、 前記外殻を回転自在に装備した支持手段、 前記外殻に設けられカバーを有しかつユーザーが出入りするための開口、 ユーザー上に設置される目的を有し、仮想空間を形成する手段に接続され、か つ形成された仮想空間をユーザーに表示する手段、 前記外殻におけるユーザーの支持点に対するユーザーの移動距離及び方向を決 定し、かつ仮想空間の変換ユニットに接続されている手段、及び ユーザー上に設置される目的を有し、形成された仮想空間をユーザーに表示し 、仮想空間を形成する手段に接続されている手段を更に含む装置。 13.更に、前記支持手段に接続され、かつユーザーの重心が前記外殻の中心 を通る垂直線に対して変位する場合に生じる力のモーメントを最少にするための 前記外殻を回転させる手段を有する請求項12に記載の装置。 14.前記外殻は閉鎖凸面である請求項12に記載の装置。 15.前記閉鎖凸面は球体である請求項14に記載の装置。 16.前記外殻の支持手段は少なくとも三つのボール型支持体から成る請求項 12ー15に記載の装置。 17.前記外殻は穿孔を有する請求項12ー16に記載の装置。 18.前記外殻は透明材料から形成されている請求項12ー17に記載の装置 。 19.仮想空間を形成する前記手段は前記外殻の外側に装備されている請求項 12ー18に記載の装置。 20.仮想空間を形成する前記手段は前記外殻の内側に装備されている請求項 12ー18に記載の装置。 21.仮想空間を形成する前記手段はユーザーに装着されている請求項20に 記載の装置。 22.仮想空間を形成する補助手段を固定する定置支持体を更に含む請求項1 2ー21に記載の装置。 23.前記補助装置は、移動手段を模した車輪つき座席、ボール、対戦相手の 行動を模したダミー及び装置からなる群より選ばれている請求項22に記載の装 置。
