- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.酸化スズまたはヒドロキシスズ酸二価金属塩またはスズ酸二価金属塩の層 を被覆した粒子状無機充填剤(スズ化合物以外)からなる難燃物質の製造方法で あって、以下の工程: (i)ヒドロキシスズ酸アルカリの水溶液(所望により、二価金属酸化物をも溶解 して含有する)中で粒子状無機充填剤のスラリーを形成させ; (ii)工程(i)のスラリーを加水分解剤または水溶性の二価金属供給源と反応さ せて、充填剤の表面に酸化スズまたはヒドロキシスズ酸二価金属塩の層を形成さ せ; (iii)所望により、工程(ii)のヒドロキシスズ酸塩を被覆した充填剤を加熱し て、対応するスズ酸二価金属塩に変換する; からなる方法。 2.工程(ii)の加水分解反応を、加水分解剤として尿素、硝酸または塩酸を使 用することによって行う請求項1に記載の方法。 3.加水分解剤として尿素を用い、加水分解を約85℃の温度で行う請求項2 に記載の方法。 4.加水分解剤として硝酸または塩酸を用い、pHが約7に達するまで酸をス ラリーに添加する請求項2に記載の方法。 5.工程(ii)において、亜鉛、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、 バリウム、鉄、コバルト、ニッケルまたは銅の可溶性塩をスラリーに添加する請 求項1に記載の方法。 6.工程(iii)において、ヒドロキシスズ酸塩で被覆した充填剤を250〜4 00℃の範囲の温度まで加熱する請求項1に記載の方法。 7.請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法によって得られる難燃物質とポリマ ー物質を含有するポリマー組成物。 8.ポリマー物質を基準に、5〜400重量%の難燃物質を含有する請求項7 に記載のポリマー組成物。 9.ポリマー物質を基準に、20〜200重量%の難燃物質を含有する請求項 8に記載のポリマー組成物。 10.ヒドロキシスズ酸二価金属塩または二価スズ酸塩の層で被覆された粒子状 無機充填剤(スズ化合物以外)からなる難燃物質。 11.二価金属が、亜鉛、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウ ム、鉄、コバルト、ニッケルまたは銅である請求項10に記載の難燃物質。
