Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 熱可塑性合成樹脂の二部材を振動溶着するに
あたり、溶着すべき面を互に直交する向きの波形とする
ことにより、確実な溶着を行いかつバリのはみ出しを少
くする。 【構成】 熱可塑性合成樹脂の箱型部材1、2のフラン
ジ3、4にリブ5、6を設け、その溶着すべき対向面に
互に直交する波形7、8を設ける。これにより溶着時は
波形の稜線の交点で複数の点接触の状態から溶着が始ま
り、加圧力や加振力が小さくてすむ。また溶着面が波形
の組み合わさって3次元的になるので固着力が強い。さ
らに波形の谷部が溶けバリの一部を収容するのでバリの
はみ出しが少ない。

【考案の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】
この考案は二部材の振動溶着すべき部分の形状に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】
熱可塑性合成樹脂でなる二部材を振動溶着するのに、二部材に相対向するフラ ンジ面を形成し、フランジ面の双方または一方にリブを設け、リブの頂面同士ま たはリブの頂面とフランジ面とを突き合わせて当接させて押圧し、当接した面に 平行な方向に振動を加えて摩擦発熱させて溶着することが行なわれている。例え ば図4、図5に示すように部材21、22にフランジ面23、24を設け、フラ ンジ面23に設けたリブ25とフランジ面24(図4)あるいはリブ25とフラ ンジ面24に設けたリブ26(図5)を突き合わせて摩擦するようにしている。 この突き合わせ面はいずれも平面であり全面的に接触している。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
溶着すべき摩擦面が平面であり全面的に接触しているために、種々の問題が生 じているすなわち、
【0004】 (a)溶着リブが幅の狭いものであれば十分な発熱をさせるための押圧力と加 振力とによってリブが潰れたり倒れたりして、頂部から順次に発熱溶融させるこ とができず溶着強度や気密性が不良となる。
【0005】 (b)溶着面が広いときは、所要の面圧を与えるため大きな加圧力を必要とし 加振力も強力にしなければならなず大容量の溶着機が必要となる。また溶着面へ の面圧分布が不均一となりやすい。これら(a)(b)の理由で適正な溶着面積 や溶着条件の設定が困難である。
【0006】 (c)溶着後の溶着面が平面的な層になるので引き裂き強度が小さい。
【0007】 (d)溶けバリの発生量が多いので溶けバリのはみ出しを防ぐためのバリトラ ップを大きくとらなければならない。従ってフランジ面の幅が大きくなる。など の問題がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
二部材の振動溶着すべき面となる一方のリブと他方のリブまたはフランジ面に 、当接させたとき互に直交する方向の波形を形成したものである。

【作用】
振動溶着する面は、相互の波形の稜線の交差点であり、当初は碁盤目状に配列 された複数の点接触の状態となる。従って比較的低い押圧力で高い面圧が得られ 、溶着面に平行な加振力が小さくても高い摩擦熱が発生する。そのため高い押圧 力や加振力によってリブが潰れたり倒れたりすることがない。
【0010】 また波の谷の部分が溶けバリの逃げるスペースになるのでバリトラップは小さ くてよい。
【0011】 さらに溶着面は各稜線が波形をなして溶融し直交した三次元的な交差状態とな るので通常の平面的溶着形状に比べて各方向に対し強度が強い。
【0012】 ちなみに、従来の平面的溶着では、見かけ上の溶着面積が大であるが、面圧の 偏りなどにより、必ずしも全面積均一に良好な溶着状態は得られていないもので ある。

【実施例】
図2にこの実施例の溶着すべき二部材を示す。部材1、2は、それぞれ熱可塑 性合成樹脂でなる箱型部材であり、開放端の周囲にフランジ3、4を有しその対 向面にリブ5、6を形成する。部材1、2は矢印A方向に押圧してリブ5、6の 頂面を当接させ、矢印B方向に加振してリブ5、6の頂面に摩擦熱を発生させて 溶着し、一体化された密閉容器を形成する。
【0014】 フランジ3、4およびリブ5、6の形状を図1に示す。リブ5、6の頂面は互 に直交する向きに波形7、8が形成してある。またフランジ4の両側にバリ受け リブ9、10を設け、リブ6とバリ受け9、10との間をそれぞれバリトラップ 11、12とする。
【0015】 波形7、8を当接させて矢印A方向に加圧し、矢印B方向に振動を加えれば、 直交する稜線7a、8aの交点から溶融がはじまり、順次拡大して波形の組み合 わさった形状の三次元的溶融面が得られ、谷部の重なり部分は断続して残存し溶 けバリの収容スペースとなる。従って溶けバリのはみ出しは少なくバリトラップ 11、12は幅や深さが小さいものでよいからフランジ3、4の張り出し寸法も 小さくてよい。
【0016】 図3に他の実施例における一方のフランジ形状を示す。一方の部材13は図1 の部材2に対応するものであり、フランジ14にはリブを設けず、フランジの対 向面には波形15を形成し、バリ受けリブ16、17を両側に設けてある。これ に対向する他方の部材は図1の部材1と同様である。

【考案の効果】
この考案に溶着部形状は、溶着面を互に直交する波形とすることにより、溶着 が複数の点接触部から始まることとなり、小さい押圧力と小さい加振力ですみ、 リブの倒れ等による溶着不具合を生せず、溶着装置も小容量のものでよい。また 溶着面が三次元的に組み合わさった形状となり溶着が強固であるうえ、波形の谷 部の重なりがバリの一部を収容するので、はみ出しバりを収容するバリトラッグ が小さくてよく、二部材のフランジの張り出しも小さくてもすむ。

    に、相対向するフランジ面を設け、フランジ面の双方ま
    たは一方にリブを設けてリブの頂面同士あるいはリブ頂
    面とフランジ面とを当接させる二部材の振動溶着部の形
    状において、前記当接させる面に互に直交する方向の波
    形を形成したことを特徴とする二部材の溶着部形状。
