Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 レーザ光を自車両の進行方向に発光するレーザ
    発光手段と、前記レーザ発光手段により発光した
    前記レーザ光を拡射させるレンズと、前記拡射し
    たレーザ光が前記自車両の進行方向の存在物に至
    りその存在物で反射した前記レーザ光を受光する
    レーザ受光手段と、前記レーザ光の発光から受光
    までの伝播遅延時間に基づき前記自車両から前記
    存在物までの距離を演算するコントローラとを備
    えた車間距離計測装置において、 前記自車両の走行速度を検出する車速センサと
    、 前記レンズを前記レーザ発光手段に対して近づ
    け又は遠ざけてレーザ光の広がり角を変化させる
    レンズ移動手段と を備え、 前記コントローラは前記車速センサによる検出
    信号に基づき前記レンズ移動手段を制御して前記
    レーザ光の広がり角を変化させるように構成され
    たことを特徴とする車間距離計測装置。
