Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 [産業上の利用分野] 本発明は潤滑油組成物に関し、詳しくは繰返し高接触応
力下において金属の疲労損傷が小さく、またトラクショ
ン係数が高く、その上酸化安定性にすくれ、特に歯車、
軸受、トラクションドライブ機構等の動力伝達装置用潤
滑油に好適な潤滑油組成物に関する。
〔従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題〕従来、
歯車用潤滑油、軸受用潤滑油さらにはトラクションドラ
イブ用潤滑油としては、粘度指数が高く(即ち、粘度の
温度依存性が小さく)、また酸化安定性が比較的高いパ
ラフィン系鉱油が、一般に広く用いられている。
しかし、このようなパラフィン系鉱油を用いた潤滑油は
、繰返し高接触応力下での耐ピツチング性やトラクショ
ン係数等が不充分であり、しかも酸化安定性が必ずしも
充分でないという問題がある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
そこで本発明者は、上述の如き従来の潤滑油の欠点を解
消し、繰返し高接触応力下においても高い耐疲労損傷性
、高いトラクション性能ならびにすくれた酸化安定性を
示す潤滑油を開発すべく鋭意研究を重ねた。
その結果、特定の性状を有する鉱油あるいはこの鉱油と
ポリブテンを基油として用いるとともに、これに極圧剤
、耐摩耗剤、油性剤等の添加剤を加えたものが、上述し
た性能を備えたものとなることを見出した。本発明はか
かる知見に基いて完成したものである。
すなわち、本発明は(A)40℃におりる動粘度が2〜
2000cSt、粘度指数が70以上、窒素含有量が2
0ppm以下であり、かつ臭素価が25以下である鉱油
100〜5重量%及び(B)分子量200〜3000の
ポリブテン0〜95重量%からな纂潤滑油基油に、極圧
剤、耐摩耗剤及び油性剤から選ばれた少なくとも一種の
添加剤を配合することを特徴とする潤滑油組成物を提供
するものである。3 本発明の組成物においては、(A)成分である上述の鉱
油単独あるいはこの鉱油と(B)成分である分子量20
0〜3000のポリブテンとの混合物を潤滑油基油とす
る。この(A)成分として用いられる鉱油の性状は、上
述の如く、まず40℃における動粘度が2〜2000C
5Cであり、好ましくは10〜500cStである。2
cSt未満のものでは油膜形成能が小さく摩耗が著くな
って不都合であり、また2 000cStを超えると粘
性抵抗による動力損失が大きくなり過ぎるなどの不都合
が生ずる。また、この鉱油は粘度指数が70以上、好ま
しくは75以上である。ここで粘度指数が70未満のも
のでは、酸化安定性が不充分なものとなる。さらに、上
記鉱油は窒素含を量が2oppm以下、好ましくは10
ppm以下であり、臭素価については25以下、好まし
くは10以下のものである。窒素含有量が2oppmを
超えるかあるいは臭素価が25を超えるものでは、疲労
寿命が低下し好ましくない。
本発明の組成物に用いる(A)成分である鉱油は、上述
した性状を有するものであればよいが、さらに低温性能
を考慮すると、流動点が一20℃以下のものが好ましく
、−30℃以下のものが特に好ましい。
この(A)成分として用いる鉱油は、上記の如き性状を
有するものであれば、様々な方法によって製造されたも
のを用いることができるが、具体的には、パラフィン基
系原油、中間基系原油を常圧蒸留するかあるいは常圧蒸
留の残渣油を減圧蒸留して得られる留出油を常法にした
がって精製することによって得られる精製油、あるいは
精製後さらに深脱ロウ処理することによって得られる深
脱ロウ油などをあげることができる。この際の精製法は
特に制限はなく様々な方法が考えられる。
通常は(a)水素化処理、(b)脱ロウ処理(熔削脱ロ
ウまたは水添脱ロウ)、(c)溶剤抽出処理、(d)ア
ルカリ蒸留または硫酸洗浄処理。
(e)白土処理を単独であるいは適宜順序で組み合わせ
て行う。また同一処理を複数段に分けて繰り返し行うこ
とも有効である。例えば、■留出油を水素化処理するか
、または水素化処理した後、アルカリ蒸留または硫酸洗
浄処理を行う方法、■留出油を水素化処理した後、脱ロ
ウ処理する方法、■留出油を溶剤抽出処理した後、水素
化処理する方法、■留出油に二段あるいは三段の水素化
処理を行う、またはその後にアルカリ蒸留または硫酸洗
浄処理する方法、さらには■上述した■〜■の如き処理
後、再度脱ロウ処理して深脱ロウ油とする方法などがあ
る。
いずれの方法によっても、得られる基油の性状が、前述
した範囲の動粘度、粘度指数、窒素含有量および臭素価
となるように調整すればよい。
特に、本発明では深脱ロウ処理によって得られる鉱油が
潤滑油基油として好適である。この深脱ロウ処理は、苛
酷な条件下での溶剤膜ロウ処理法やゼオライト触媒を用
いた接触水添脱ロウ処理法などによって行われる。
本発明の組成物においては、上記(A’)鉱油を単独で
潤滑油基油として用いてもよいが、この鉱油とともに(
B)分子量200〜3000のポリブテンを用い、(A
)、(B)両成分よりなる潤滑油基油とすることもでき
る。ここで、(B)成分であるポリブテンは、分子量が
200〜3000のもの(これは、40℃における動粘
度が2〜4000cStに相当する。、)であり、好ま
しくは300〜1000である。またこのポリブテンは
、水添したものでも、未水添のものでもよい。
このようなポリブテンを上記鉱油に加えて潤滑油基油と
することにより、酸化安定性を維持しながら、疲労寿命
の長期化やトラクション性能の一層の向上を図ることが
できる。
本発明の組成物における潤滑油基油は、(A)成分であ
る鉱油を100〜5重量%、好ましくは100〜20重
量%とじ、(B)成分であるポリブテンを0〜95重量
%、好ましくは0〜80重量%の範囲で混合する。鉱油
の混合割合が、5重量%未満では厳しい条件下(貧潤滑
状態)での耐摩耗性や耐焼付性能が不充分になるという
不都合が生ずる。
また、本発明の組成物では、上記(A)成分あるいはこ
の(A)成分と(B)成分とからなる潤滑油基油に、極
圧剤、耐摩耗剤及び油性剤から選ばれた少なくとも一種
の添加剤を配合することが必要である。ここで極圧剤と
しては、種々のものが使用可能であるが、具体的にはス
ルフィド頻1スルフォキサイド類、スルフォン類、チオ
ホスフィネート類、チオカーボネート類、ジチオカーバ
メート類、アルキルチオカルバモイル類、油脂。
硫化油脂、硫化オレフィン等のイオウ系極圧剤;リン酸
エステル、亜リン酸エステル、リン酸エステルアミン塩
、亜リン酸エステルアミン塩等のリン系極圧剤;塩素化
炭化水素、塩素化油脂等のハロゲン系極圧剤;ジチオリ
ン酸亜鉛(ZnDTP)などのチオリン酸塩やチオカル
バミン酸塩等の有機金属系極圧剤などをあげることがで
きる。
次に、耐摩耗剤としては、ジチオリン酸モリブデン(M
oDTP)、  ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン(Mo
DTC)等の有機モリブデン化合物;アルキルメルカプ
チルボレート等の有機ホウ素化合物:グラファイト、二
硫化モリブデン、硫化アンチモン、ホウ素化合物、ポリ
テトラフルオロエチレン等の固体潤滑剤系耐摩耗剤など
をあげることができる。
また、油性剤としては、オレイン酸、ステアリン酸等の
高級脂肪酸;オレイルアルコール等の高級アルコール;
アミン;エステル;油脂などをあげろことができる。
なお、これら極圧剤、耐摩耗剤及び油性剤は、厳密に区
別しろるものではなく、まとめて耐荷重添加剤と総称す
ることもでき、また上記に列挙した化合物の中には、い
くつかの作用を兼ね備えたものも存在する。
本発明の組成物においては、上記(A)成分あるいはこ
の(A)成分と(B)成分とからなる潤滑油基油に対し
て、これらの極圧剤、耐摩耗剤及び油性剤から選ばれた
一種あるいは二種以上を適量配合すればよいが、−船釣
には潤滑油基油100重量部に対して、これらの極圧剤
、耐摩耗剤あるいは油性剤添加剤を、0.01〜20重
量部の範囲で加えればよい。
本発明の組成物では、さらに酸化防止剤、防錆剤、金属
不活性化剤、粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤を
はじめ、公知の各種添加剤を必要に応じて配合すること
も有効である。ここで、酸化防止剤としては各種のもの
があるが、例えば2゜6−ジーt−ブチル−p−クレゾ
ールに代表されるフェノール系酸化防止剤;ジオクチル
ジフェニルアミンに代表されるアミン系酸化防止剤;ジ
チオリン酸亜鉛に代表されるイオウ、リン系酸化防止剤
などをあげることができる。
また、防錆剤についても各種のものが使用可能であり、
例えばアルキルコハク酸、アルケニルコハク酸、そのエ
ステルに代表されるカルボン酸。
カルボン酸エステルやカルボン酸塩、スルホン酸カルシ
ウム、スルホン酸バリウム、スルホン酸ナトリウム等の
スルホン酸塩、さらにはアルコール。
リン酸あるいはリン酸塩などをあげることができる。
金属不活性化剤は、従来から用いられているものでよく
、例えばチアゾール系あるいはジチアゾール系の金属不
活性化剤などがあげられる。粘度指数向上剤については
、ポリメタクリレート等のポリマーが好適使用される。
〔実施例] 次に、本発明を実施例及び比較例によりさらに詳しく説
明する。
実施例1〜8及び比較例1〜3 まず、下記の第1表に示す基油を準備した。
次に、これらの基油に各種添加剤を配合して潤滑油組成
物を調製した。その後、この潤滑油組成物について、各
種の性能試験を行った。結果を第2表に示す。
なお、上記性能試験において、疲労寿命は転がり四球試
験(特開昭51−147263号公報に記載)により測
定し、酸化安定性はJIS  K2514の3.3に準
拠して測定し、またトラクション係数は特開昭62−5
3398号公報に記載の方法にしたがって測定した。
(以下余白) 上記の第2表かられかるように、実施例1〜6は、いず
れも疲労寿命が長く、酸化安定性が良好である。特に実
施例3〜6の混合基油を用いたものは、その効果が高く
、さらにトラクション係数の向上も大きい。また、実施
例7及び8は、より一段と疲労寿命が長く、酸化安定性
にすくれ、しかも、特に実施例8はトラクション係数の
向上が著しい。
〔発明の効果〕
軟土の如く、本発明の潤滑油組成物を用いると、金属の
疲労損傷が低減されるとともに、酸化安定性が良好であ
り、しかも、l・ラクション係数が高く、その上、低温
安定性にずくれたものとなる。
したがって、本発明の潤滑油組成物は、動力伝達装置用
の潤滑油、特に歯車、転がり軸受、トラクションドライ
ブ機構の潤滑油として、幅広くかつ有効に利用される。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)(A)40℃における動粘度が2〜2000cS
    t、粘度指数が70以上、窒素含有量が20ppm以下
    であり、かつ臭素価が25以下である鉱油100〜5重
    量%及び(B)分子量200〜3000のポリブテン0
    〜95重量%からなる潤滑油基油に、極圧剤、耐摩耗剤
    及び油性剤から選ばれた少なくとも一種の添加剤を配合
    することを特徴とする潤滑油組成物。
  2. (2)請求項1の鉱油が、流動点−20℃以下のもので
    ある請求項1記載の潤滑油組成物。
