Description
Claims (5)
- 回動軸を中心として上方向に回動させた後で装置本体から取り外されるように構成されたプロセスユニットを備える画像形成装置であって、
前記プロセスユニットは、
所定の回転方向に沿って回転する感光体ドラムと、
前記感光体ドラムの表面に対向して現像ニップを形成する現像装置と、
シートの上面に接触して該シートを前記現像ニップよりも前記回転方向の下流側へ向かう搬送方向に沿って案内するガイド部材と、
前記現像装置と前記ガイド部材との間に回動可能に支持されたシール部材と、を備え、
前記シール部材は、前記プロセスユニットが前記装置本体に装着された状態では、前記現像装置と前記ガイド部材との隙間を開放し、前記プロセスユニットが前記装置本体から取り外される際に上方に回動されると、前記現像装置と前記ガイド部材との隙間を閉止するように回動することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記シール部材は、
前記現像装置に対して回動可能に支持される軸部材と、
前記軸部材から下方に延びるように設けられた錘と、
前記軸部材に支持されるシート材と、を備え、
前記プロセスユニットが前記装置本体に装着された状態では、前記シート材は前記ガイド部材から離間した姿勢に前記錘によって支持され、
前記プロセスユニットが前記装置本体から取り外される際に上方に回動されると、前記軸部材が前記現像装置に対して相対的に回動して、前記シート材が前記ガイド部材に接触することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記ガイド部材の下面は、前記搬送方向に沿って上向きの円弧状に湾曲した平面状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記プロセスユニットが前記装置本体に装着された状態では、前記シール部材は、前記シート材が略水平な姿勢に支持されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記現像装置は、前記感光体ドラムよりも前記回動軸から遠い位置に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
