Description

繊維構造体は、1つ以上の繊維要素を含む。繊維要素は、互いに関連付けられて構造体を形成することができる。繊維構造体は、構造体内及び又は構造体上に粒子を含み得る。繊維構造体は、均質、層状、単一、ゾーン形、又は他の点で望ましいとおりであってよく、異なる活性剤が様々な前述の部分を画定する。
繊維要素は、水溶性であってよい。繊維要素は、1つ以上のフィラメント形成材料及び/又は界面活性剤などの1つ以上の活性剤を含んでよい。1つ以上の活性剤は、意図される使用条件に繊維要素及び/又は繊維要素を含む繊維構造体が曝されたときなどに、繊維要素から放出可能であり得る。

本明細書に記載の繊維性水溶性単位用量物品は、1つ以上の活性剤を含有してもよい。活性剤は、繊維要素中に、別個の粒子の形態で存在してもよく、粒子の形態で存在してもよく、又は粒子に組み込まれてもよく、又は物品中にプレミックスとして存在してもよい。プレミックスは、例えば、水性吸収剤と組み合わされた活性剤のスラリーであってよい。
繊維性水溶性単位用量は、繊維中の界面活性剤の他にも、界面活性剤を含んでもよい。界面活性剤は、アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、双性イオン性界面活性剤、両性界面活性剤、両性電解質界面活性剤、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択され得る。これら界面活性剤は、上により詳細に記載されている。

繊維性水溶性単位用量は、繊維中、繊維とは別個の繊維、封入剤、又はこれらの組み合わせのいずれかに香料を含んでもよい。香料及び香料成分の非限定的な例としては、アルデヒド、ケトン、エステルなどが挙げられるが、これらに限定されない。他の例としては、様々な天然抽出物及び天然エキスが挙げられ、これらは、オレンジ油、レモン油、バラ抽出物、ラベンダー、ムスク、パチョリ、バルサムエキス、ビャクダン油、パイン油、シーダーなどの成分の複雑な混合物を含むことができる。最終的な香料は、そのような成分の非常に複雑な混合物を含むことができる。仕上げた香料は、洗剤組成物の約0.01重量%~約2重量%の範囲の濃度で含まれ得る。
繊維性水溶性単位用量は、移染防止剤を含んでもよい。移染防止剤は、洗浄プロセス中のある布地から別の布地への染料の移動を阻害するのに有効である。概して、このような移染防止剤としては、ポリビニルピロリドンポリマー、ポリアミンN-オキシドポリマー、N-ビニルピロリドン及びN-ビニルイミダゾールのコポリマー、マンガンフタロシアニン、ペルオキシダーゼ、及びこれらの混合物を挙げることができる。使用する場合、これらの剤は、組成物の約0.0001重量%~約10重量%、いくつかの例では、組成物の約0.01重量%~約5重量%、他の例では、組成物の約0.05重量%~約2重量%の濃度で使用されてもよい。
繊維性水溶性単位用量は、泡の形成を低減又は抑制するための抑泡剤又は化合物を含んでもよい。泡の抑制は、いわゆる「高濃度洗浄プロセス」において、また前側投入方式の洗濯機において、特に重要である場合がある。抑泡剤の例としては、モノカルボン脂肪酸及びその中の可溶性塩、パラフィンなどの高分子量炭化水素、脂肪酸エステル(例えば、脂肪酸トリグリセリド)、一価アルコールの脂肪酸エステル、脂肪族C18~C40ケトン(例えば、ステアロン)、N-アルキル化アミノトリアジン、好ましくは融点が約100℃未満であるワックス状炭化水素、シリコーン抑泡剤、並びに二級アルコールが挙げられる。
高起泡性が望ましい場合、C10~C16アルカノールアミドなどの増泡剤を使用してよい。いくつかの例としては、C10~C14モノエタノール及びジエタノールアミドが挙げられる。必要に応じて、MgCl2、MgSO4、CaCl2、CaSO4などの水溶性マグネシウム及び/又はカルシウム塩を、洗剤組成物の約0.1重量%~約2重量%の濃度で添加して、追加の泡をもたらし、脂除去性能を増強することもできる。
好適なコンディショニング剤としては、高融点脂肪族化合物が挙げられる。本明細書において有用な高融点脂肪族化合物は、25℃以上の融点を有し、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール誘導体、脂肪酸誘導体、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される。好適なコンディショニング剤としては、非イオン性ポリマー及びコンディショニングオイル、例えば、炭化水素油、ポリオレフィン、及び脂肪酸エステルも挙げられる。
本明細書に記載の繊維性水溶性単位用量物品は、水性クリーニング操作において使用している間、洗浄水が約2.0~約8、いくつかの例では約3.0~約7、約3.5~約6、約4~約5のpHを有するように配合され得る。推奨される使用濃度でpHを制御する技法としては、緩衝剤、アルカリ、又は酸の使用が挙げられ、これらは当業者には公知である。これらの技術としては、炭酸ナトリウム、クエン酸若しくはクエン酸ナトリウム、乳酸若しくは乳酸塩、モノエタノールアミン若しくは他のアミン、ホウ酸若しくはホウ酸塩、及び当該技術分野において既知の他のpH調整化合物の使用が挙げられるが、これらに限定されない。
図5は、コフォームの形態の物品の作製プロセス100を示す。フィラメント22が形成されている間、粒子源のスイッチが入れられ、粒子32がフィラメント22の流れに導入される。フィラメントは、フィラメント形成組成物作製操作16から形成することができ、次に紡糸操作20に移行する。粒子32は、混合在操作24において混合在され、次いで紡糸エンクロージャ内でフィラメント22と混合在される。混合フィラメント22及び粒子32は、回収操作28において複合構造体として回収装置(例えば、形成ベルト)上に回収される(フィラメント22と粒子32とが一緒に混合される)。次いで、材料は変換操作26を通過することができる。複合構造体は、コフォームの形態の繊維構造体14と称される。最後に、パッケージング操作36では、繊維構造体を容器34にパッケージ化することができる。
粒子-繊維層は、いくつかの方法で配置され得る。粒子のクラスターは、層内に分布したポケット内に分布し得、このようなポケットは、繊維要素の層の間に形成され得、粒子の各クラスター内の接触ネットワーク及び多孔性は、従来の粒子パッキングの物理学によって支配されるが、クラスターは層内で実質的に拡張される。粒子は、繊維構造体全体にわたって比較的均質に分布してよく、局所的な粒子クラスターを実質的に含まず、パッキングは、個々の粒子のスケールで実質的に拡張され、粒子間接触がより少なく、粒子間孔が大きくなる。理論に束縛されるものではないが、繊維要素及び粒子を含む層を含む繊維性水溶性単位用量物品は、AESなどの粘着性界面活性剤が、拡張構造を有する粒子に隔離された場合、水の拡張構造への迅速な吸水及び粘着性界面活性剤を有する粒子間の接触の減少の両方によって単位用量物品の分散及び溶解を改善すると考えられる。
予め秤量した400mLのビーカーに、50グラム±0.1グラムのパウチ材料を添加し、245mL±1mLの蒸留水を添加する。これを、600rpmに設定した電磁撹拌器で30分間激しく撹拌する。次いで、混合物を、上記で定義した孔径(最大20マイクロメートル)の折り畳まれた定性焼結ガラスフィルタにより濾過する。任意の従来の方法によって、回収した濾液から水を乾燥させ、残った材料の重量を求める(これが溶解画分又は分散画分である)。次いで、溶解度又は分散率を計算することができる。好ましいフィルム材料は、ポリマー材料である。フィルム材料は、例えば、当該技術分野において公知であるとおり、ポリマー材料を注型成形、吹込成形、押出成形又は吹込押出成形することによって得ることができる。パウチ材料として使用するのに好適な好ましいポリマー、コポリマー又はこれらの誘導体は、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリアルキレンオキシド、アクリルアミド、アクリル酸、セルロース、セルロースエーテル、セルロースエステル、セルロースアミド、ポリビニルアセテート、ポリカルボン酸及び塩、ポリアミノ酸又はペプチド、ポリアミド、ポリアクリルアミド、マレイン酸/アクリル酸のコポリマー、デンプン及びゼラチンを含む多糖類、キサンタン及びカラガムなどの天然ガムから選択される。より好ましいポリマーは、ポリアクリレート及び水溶性アクリレートコポリマー、メチルセルロース、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム、デキストリン、エチルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース、マルトデキストリン、ポリメタクリレートから選択され、最も好ましくは、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルアルコールコポリマー及びヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース(HPMC)、並びにこれらの組み合わせから選択される。好ましくは、パウチ材料中のポリマー、例えば、PVAポリマーの濃度は、少なくとも60%である。ポリマーは、任意の重量平均分子量を有してもよく、好ましくは、約1000~1,000,000、より好ましくは、約10,000~300,000、更により好ましくは、約20,000~150,000である。また、ポリマーの混合物をパウチ材料として使用してもよい。これは、その用途及び必要とされるニーズに応じて、区画又はパウチの機械的特性及び/又は溶解特性を制御するのに有益であり得る。好適な混合物には、例えば、1つのポリマーの水溶解度が別のポリマーよりも高く、及び/又は1つのポリマーの機械的強度が別のポリマーよりも高い、混合物が挙げられる。また、異なる重量平均分子量を有するポリマーの混合物、例えば、約10,000~40,000、好ましくは20,000前後の重量平均分子量のPVA又はそのコポリマーと、約100,000~300,000、好ましくは150,000前後の重量平均分子量のPVA又はそのコポリマーとの混合物も好適である。また、例えば、ポリラクチド及びポリビニルアルコールを混合することにより得られ、典型的には約1~35重量%のポリラクチドと、約65~99重量%のポリビニルアルコールとを含む、ポリラクチドとポリビニルアルコールとのポリマーブレンドなどの、加水分解により分解可能な水溶性のポリマーブレンドを含むポリマーブレンド組成物も、本明細書において好適である。本明細書において使用するのに好ましいものは、約60%~約98%加水分解され、好ましくは約80%~約90%加水分解され、材料の溶解特性が向上したポリマーである。
繊維性水溶性単位用量は、例えば、限定するものではないが、天然石(花崗岩及び大理石を含むがこれらに限定されない)、セメント、コンクリート床、コンクリート構造体、磁器、ガラス、金属、塗装表面、プラスチック、及びこれらの組み合わせの、1つ以上の種類の表面を洗浄するために使用され得る。
本発明はまた、繊維性水溶性単位用量を使用する選択方法を包含し、この方法は、少なくとも1つの繊維性水溶性単位用量を、洗浄される洗濯物と一緒に洗濯機に入れる工程と、洗浄又はクリーニング操作を行う工程とを含む。具体的には、本方法は、布地を得る工程と、洗浄工程で布地を処理する工程と、を含み、この洗浄工程は、布地を洗浄液と接触させる工程を含む。この洗浄液は、繊維性水溶性単位用量及び洗剤を水中で300~800倍、好ましくは400~700倍に希釈することによって調製され、この洗浄液は、pH6以下である。
本明細書において特に明記しない限り、組成物のpHは、20±2℃の組成物の未希釈pHとして定義される。pHを±0.01pH単位まで測定することができる任意の計測器が好適である。Orion meters(Thermo Scientific,Clintinpark-Keppekouter,Ninovesteenweg 198,9320 Erembodegem-Aalst,Belgium)又は等価物が、許容可能な計器である。pH計は、カロメル又は銀/塩化銀基準を有する適切なガラス電極を備えていなければならない。例としては、Mettler DB 115が挙げられる。電極は、製造業者が推奨する電解質溶液中で保管する必要がある。pHは、pHメーター製造業者の標準的な手順に従って測定される。更に、pHアセンブリを設定し較正するには、製造業者の指示に従うべきである。
±0.001gの感度限界の上皿化学天秤を使用して、12個の使用可能なユニットを積み重ねて繊維構造体の坪量を測定する。風防を使用して、天秤を気流及び他の外乱から保護する。3.500インチ±0.0035インチ×3.500インチ±0.0035インチと測定された精密切断ダイを使用して、全ての試料を調製する。
