Description
a.本発明の第1の態様による磁気ヘッドを設けるステップと、

Claims (13)
- 磁気テープ上のデータを消去する磁気ヘッドであって、前記磁気ヘッドが、その上に取り付けられた細長い磁石を有する本体と、前記磁石と磁化可能につながった複数の離散磁化可能部と、を含み、前記複数の磁化可能部が、前記細長い磁石とアライメントされ、前記磁気ヘッドの実質的に平面の外面の少なくとも一部を形成し、かつ、前記複数の磁化可能部が、前記磁気ヘッドを通過する前記磁気テープの幅方向に沿って配置された、磁気ヘッド。
- 前記磁石が、前記実質的な平面の下方に位置する、請求項1に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記本体が非磁化可能材料を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 一片の細長い磁石を含む、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記複数の磁化可能部が、全て同様の形状及びサイズを有する、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記複数の磁化可能部が互いにアライメントされる、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 各磁化可能部が、隣接するそれぞれの磁化可能部から等距離にある、請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記複数の磁化可能部が、前記本体内に埋め込まれることによって、前記本体と共に、前記平面の少なくとも一部を形成する、請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記複数のアライメントされた磁化可能部に隣接して配置される長手方向セラミックエッジ部をさらに含む、請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- セラミックエッジ部が、前記アライメントされた複数の磁化可能部の各長手方向エッジに沿って配置される、請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 前記磁化可能部がスチール材料を含む、請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッド。
- 磁気テープ上のデータを消去する方法であって、
a.請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッドを設けるステップと、
b.前記磁気ヘッドの前記実質的に平面の外面を通り過ぎてテープを通過させるステップと、を含む方法。 - 磁気テープ上のデータを消去するシステムであって、
a.請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の磁気ヘッドと、
b.テープを解除可能に保持するテープ位置付け手段と、
c.前記磁気ヘッドの前記実質的に平面の外面に隣接して、前記磁気ヘッドを通り過ぎて前記テープを駆動させる駆動手段と、を含むシステム。
