Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る送風ファン装置1およびその周辺の構成を示す車両Vの前部の概略構成図である。図中の矢印FRが車体前方を示している。この図1に示すように、車両Vのエンジンコンパートメント2内の前部には、熱交換器であるコンデンサ31とラジエータ32とが配設されている。これらコンデンサ31とラジエータ32とは車体前後方向に並べて配設されている。本実施形態では、コンデンサ31の後側にラジエータ32が配設されている。また、ラジエータ32の後側には送風ファン装置1が配設されている。つまり、コンデンサ31とラジエータ32とはシリーズ配列されており、送風ファン装置1はコンデンサ31やラジエータ32の配設位置から冷却風を吸い込むように作動する吸い込みタイプとなっている。また、車両Vの前部には複数の外気取入開口41が形成されたグリル4が装着されており、この外気取入開口41を経て、コンデンサ31やラジエータ32に外気(空気)を冷却風として導入するようになっている。
次に、送風ファン7の構成について説明する。
次に、前述の如く構成された送風ファン装置1による送風動作について説明する。車両Vの停車時や低速走行時等において、コンデンサ31やラジエータ32の冷却要求が生じた場合、電動モータ6が作動し、回転軸62が回転することに伴って送風ファン7が回転する。つまり、アウタ送風ブレード9,9,…およびインナ送風ブレード83,83,…の回転によって車体前方から車体後方に向かう気流が発生する。これにより、グリル4の外気取入開口41から導入された外気(空気)が、コンデンサ31およびラジエータ32を通過し、コンデンサ31を流れる冷媒およびラジエータ32を流れるエンジン冷却水との間で熱交換を行う。
なお、本発明は、前記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲および該範囲と均等の範囲で包含される全ての変形や応用が可能である。

Claims (3)
- 電動モータの回転軸に取り付けられる取付部、および、該取付部の外周側に設けられ且つ前記電動モータの外径寸法よりも大径であって内部に前記電動モータが配設される筒部を有するボス部と、
該ボス部の外面から外周側に延在する複数枚の外周側送風ブレードと、
を備えた送風ファンであって、
前記ボス部には、前記回転軸の延在方向に沿って貫通する通風孔と、前記取付部と前記筒部とを結合する板状の複数枚の内周側送風ブレードとが、前記取付部を中心とする周方向に亘って交互に設けられており、
前記通風孔および前記内周側送風ブレードそれぞれは、車体前後方向において前記電動モータの前方に位置して該電動モータのハウジングの前面に対して空間のみを介して臨み、且つ車体前方から見た場合に前記電動モータに重なるように配設されており、
前記複数枚の内周側送風ブレードは、前記電動モータの作動に伴って回転することにより、車体の前方から後方に向かって流れる気流を発生させるように構成されており、当該気流が、前記通風孔を通過した後、該通風孔と前記ハウジングの前面との間の前記空間において車体前後方向に沿う流れを維持したまま流れて、前記電動モータのハウジングの前面に形成された開口から当該ハウジング内に流入し、車体の前方から後方に向かって通過して、該ハウジングから車体後方に排出されるようになっており、
前記回転軸の延在方向において、前記電動モータが占める範囲と前記外周側送風ブレードが占める範囲とがラップしていることを特徴とする送風ファン。 - 請求項1記載の送風ファンにおいて、
前記内周側送風ブレードの枚数は、前記外周側送風ブレードの枚数よりも多く設定されていることを特徴とする送風ファン。 - 請求項1または2記載の送風ファンにおいて、
前記外周側送風ブレードの回転によって生じる気流の風速と、前記内周側送風ブレードの回転によって生じる気流の風速とが一致するように、前記各送風ブレードの枚数が設定されていることを特徴とする送風ファン。
