Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の気筒列方向に配置された複数の吸気ポートに連通する複数の分岐通路を画定するとともに、前記分岐通路のそれぞれに添加ガスを導入する添加ガス導入通路を画定するための添加ガス導入構造を備えた吸気マニホールドであって、
前記添加ガス導入構造は、
複数の前記分岐通路のそれぞれに連通する連通孔と、
前記連通孔の上流側に前記気筒列方向において複数の前記分岐通路を跨るように構成される添加ガス導入通路部と、
前記気筒列方向における前記添加ガス導入通路部の一端に設けられる添加ガス導入口とを有し、
前記添加ガス導入口から前記添加ガス導入通路部の前記気筒列方向における中央部にかけてガイド壁が設けられ、
前記気筒列方向に配列され、前記分岐通路のそれぞれを画定する分岐管を有し、
前記連通孔は前記気筒列方向に配列され、
前記添加ガス導入通路部は前記連通孔を覆うように前記分岐管に取り付けられ、
前記添加ガス導入通路部の前記中央部は前記気筒列方向の両端に位置する前記連通孔の略中央に位置し、
前記ガイド壁が、前記添加ガス導入通路部に設けられた前記添加ガス導入口から前記中央部に至る仕切り壁をなし、前記添加ガス導入通路部と協働して、前記添加ガス導入口から前記中央部に至る導入通路を形成し、
前記連通孔は互いに隣接する前記分岐管の隣接する部分にそれぞれ形成され、
互いに隣接する2つの前記連通孔の間には、前記中央部に向かって延びて、前記添加ガス導入通路の上流側に突出する突壁が設けられている吸気マニホールド。 - 前記分岐管が前記内燃機関の対向面に沿って延在する中間部及び、前記中間部の上端から前記吸気ポートに向けて湾曲形成された上端部を有し、前記添加ガス導入通路部が、前記分岐管の前記上端部の上面側から前記内燃機関から離反する側に渡る部分に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の吸気マニホールド。
- 前記添加ガス導入通路部は前記分岐管から離反する方向に凹む凹部を含む添加ガス導入路部本体を有し、
前記ガイド壁は前記凹部の内部に収容され、前記凹部の底面との間に所定の容積を有する空間を画定し、
前記ガイド壁には前記中央部において貫通する貫通孔が設けられ、
前記添加ガス導入口は前記添加ガス導入路部本体を貫通し、前記空間内に連通していることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の吸気マニホールド。 - 前記貫通孔から前記連通孔それぞれに至る流路長が概ね同一であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の吸気マニホールド。
