前記基板とノズルプレートの間に設けられ、傾斜面と、傾斜面を横切る複数の溝とを有する圧電体と、圧電体の頂部および傾斜面から離間して圧電体の溝の内面に形成された導電膜と、導電膜を覆う絶縁膜とを有するインクジェットヘッドになっている。すなわち、圧電体に形成された直角部近傍に導電膜を形成しないようにしている。
第2の実施形態では、インクジェットヘッド1の構成は、第1の実施形態と同じである。異なる点は、電極膜260の形成方法が異なっている。
基板と、
インクを吐出するノズルを有するノズルプレートと、
前記基板とノズルプレートの間に設けられ、第1の面は第1の方向において第1の幅を有し前記第1の面に対向する第2の面は前記第1の方向において前記第1の幅より広い第2の幅を有し、かつ前記第1の面の辺から前記第2の面の辺へ繋がる傾斜面と、前記第1の方向に形成され前記傾斜面を横切る複数の溝とを有する圧電体と、
前記第1の面および前記傾斜面から離間し、前記圧電体の溝の内面に形成された導電膜と、
前記導電膜を覆う絶縁膜と、を備えるインクジェットヘッドと、
前記インクジェットヘッドへインクを供給し、前記溝を通して前記ノズルから吐出しなかったインクを回収し、再びインクをインクジェットヘッドへ供給するインク循環装置と、
前記インクジェットヘッドによって画像を形成する記録媒体を搬送する搬送装置と、を備えるインクジェットプリンタ。

Claims (5)
- 第1圧電体の上に、前記第1圧電体とは分極方向が異なる第2圧電体が積層された積層圧電体を基板に固定する工程と、
前記積層圧電体の両端に傾斜面を作成する工程と、
前記積層圧電体の前記傾斜面を横切る方向で、長手方向に等間隔に複数の溝を形成する工程と、
前記複数の溝の内面、前記第2圧電体の上面、前記傾斜面、および前記基板に導電膜を形成する工程と、
前記導電膜にフォトエッチング加工を施し、前記複数の溝の内面に電極を形成すると共に、前記電極と接続される引出電極を前記傾斜面と前記基板に形成する工程と、
前記電極および前記引出電極の上に絶縁膜を形成する工程と、
を含み、
前記電極および前記引出電極を形成する工程では、前記第2圧電体の上面の角部、および前記傾斜面の角部を回避して前記導電膜が成膜されていることを特徴とするインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記電極および前記引出電極を形成する工程では、前記第2圧電体の上面の角部、および前記傾斜面の角部の前記導電膜を設定幅のレジストパターンを用いてオーバーエッチングが施されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェットヘッドの製造方法。
- 基板と、
インクを吐出するノズルを有するノズルプレートと、
前記基板上に並列に形成された第1圧電アクチュエータ列および第2圧電アクチュエータ列と、を有し、
前記第1圧電アクチュエータ列および第2圧電アクチュエータ列は、
前記基板に固定され、第1圧電体の上に分極方向が異なる第2圧電体が積層された積層圧電体と、
前記積層圧電体の両端に形成された傾斜面と、
前記積層圧電体の前記傾斜面を横切る方向で、長手方向に等間隔に形成された複数の溝と、
前記複数の溝の内面、前記第2圧電体の上面、前記傾斜面、および前記基板に形成された導電膜と、
前記導電膜にフォトエッチング加工を施して、前記複数の溝の内面に形成された電極と、および前記傾斜面と前記基板に形成された前記電極と接続される引出電極と、
前記電極および前記引出電極の上に形成された絶縁膜と、
を有し、
前記電極および前記引出電極の前記導電膜は、前記第2圧電体の上面の角部、および前記傾斜面の角部が回避されていることを特徴とするインクジェットヘッド。 - 前記電極および前記引出電極は、前記第2圧電体の上面の角部、および前記傾斜面の角部の前記導電膜を設定幅のレジストパターンを用いてオーバーエッチングが施されて形成されたものである請求項3に記載のインクジェットヘッド。
- 前記複数の溝の内面に形成された前記電極の電極面積は、前記導電膜のメッキ膜厚が1μm〜1.5μmの場合、前記内面全体の面積の90%〜99%の範囲である請求項3に記載のインクジェットヘッド。
