Description
前記素子本体の少なくとも一つの側面に絶縁層が備えられており、
前記絶縁層はガラス成分およびセラミック成分を含み、
前記内部電極層が金属Mを含む場合において、前記セラミック成分が前記金属Mの酸化物を含むことを特徴とする積層電子部品。
本実施形態に係る積層電子部品の一実施形態として、積層セラミックコンデンサの全体構成について説明する。
次に、本発明の一実施形態としての積層セラミックコンデンサ2の製造方法について具体的に説明する。
セラミック成分の含有率は、絶縁層16に対してSEM−EDX装置を用いて分析することにより算出した。分析方法は、具体的には、まずコンデンサ試料に対し、図1のII‐II線に沿う断面(素子本体3の端部からY軸方向に長さ(L0/2)の地点)まで研磨する。次に、Z軸方向には(H0/2)の位置が中心となるようにして15μm×5μmの測定領域を絶縁層16内部に設定する。さらに、前記測定領域を中心としてZ軸方向の前後それぞれに前記測定領域と接しないように2つの15μm×5μmの測定領域を絶縁層16内部に設定する。このときX軸方向の位置は特に指定しないが誘電体層の成分を検出してしまい精確な面分析ができるように図2の絶縁層16と内側誘電体層10との境界に接していないことが望ましい。合計3つの測定領域について、SEM−EDX装置を用いて面分析を行い、その結果のうち各測定領域におけるセラミック成分の含有率を測定し、平均値を算出する。なお、ガラス成分とセラミック成分が重複する場合は、ガラス成分の中で最も検出精度の高い元素(例えば、SiO2成分)をガラス成分の基準としてガラス成分含有率を算出することでセラミック成分の組成含有率を得た。なお、絶縁層16の厚みが5μm未満である場合には、各測定領域のX軸方向の長さを絶縁層16の厚みと同一とする。Z軸方向の長さは15μmのままとする。結果を表に示す。
Ni凹み率は、前記絶縁層16が備えられている面に存在する前記内部電極層の端部近傍であり、前記誘電体層の端部近傍である部分を観察することにより算出した。具体的には、まずコンデンサ試料に対し、図1のII‐II線に沿う断面(素子本体3の端部からY軸方向に長さ(L0/2)の地点)まで研磨した。次に、当該断面における前記内部電極層の端部近傍であり、前記誘電体層の端部近傍である部分を観察した。
図4に示すように、コンデンサ試料102の外部電極を、試験用基板104のパッド部にはんだ付けにより実装した。試験用基板104の材質は、ガラス布基材エポキシ樹脂製であった。試験用基板104のサイズは、X軸方向の幅40mm、Y軸方向の長さ100mm、厚み0.8mmであった。
各コンデンサ試料2を構成するセラミック基板に前記絶縁層用ペーストを塗布して焼き付けた。セラミック基板上のガラス表面積は1cm2であった。このガラス基板をpHが3の水溶液に60時間、室温にて浸漬した。そして、ガラスを焼き付けたセラミック基板における浸漬前後の重量変化を算出した。その結果を表に示した。本実施例では、耐めっき性試験後のガラスの重量減少量の好ましい範囲を3mg未満とし、より好ましい範囲を1mg未満とした。結果を表に示す。表では、耐めっき性試験後のガラスの重量減少率が1mg未満の場合に耐めっき性を◎、1mg以上3mg未満の場合に耐めっき性を○と記している。本実施例および比較例では、ガラスの重量減少量が3mg以上とはならなかった。

Claims (4)
- 複数の内部電極層および誘電体層が交互に積層された素子本体を備える積層電子部品であって、
前記素子本体の少なくとも一つの側面に絶縁層が備えられており、
前記絶縁層はガラス成分およびセラミック成分を含み、
前記内部電極層が金属Mを含む場合において、前記セラミック成分が前記金属Mの酸化物を含み、
前記金属Mの酸化物がNiO,Ag2OまたはCuOであり、
前記絶縁層全体を100wt%として、前記絶縁層における前記金属Mの酸化物の含有量が0.2〜18wt%であることを特徴とする積層電子部品。 - 前記絶縁層が備えられている側面近傍に存在する前記内部電極層の端部のうち5%以上の端部が、前記絶縁層が備えられている側面近傍に存在する前記誘電体層の端部から1μm以上凹んでいる請求項1に記載の積層電子部品。
- 前記ガラス成分全体を100wt%として、前記ガラス成分におけるSiO2の含有量が35〜75wt%である請求項1または2に記載の積層電子部品。
- 前記ガラス成分全体を100wt%として、前記ガラス成分におけるアルカリ金属成分の含有量が10〜35wt%である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の積層電子部品。
