Claims (9)
- (a)横方向に延在するモジュールハウジングであって前記横方向と直交する縦方向に複数並んで配列されたモジュールハウジングと、各モジュールハウジングに取付けられた端子とを備え、
(b)該端子は、前記モジュールハウジングの上面よりも上方及び下面よりも下方に突出する一対の接触部と、該一対の接触部が受ける前記横方向及び縦方向と直交する上下方向の変位及び力の少なくとも一部を前記縦方向の変位及び力に変換する第1の方向変換機構とを含み、
(c)前記モジュールハウジングは、前記端子から受ける前記縦方向の変位及び力の少なくとも一部を前記上下方向の変位及び力に変換する第2の方向変換機構を含むことを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記端子は、前記モジュールハウジングに保持される本体部と、該本体部から上方及び下方を向いて延出する一対の接触腕とを含み、前記接触部の各々は、各接触腕の先端近傍に形成されて前記本体部よりも前記縦方向前側に位置し、前記第1の方向変換機構は、前記本体部、一対の接触腕及び一対の接触部を有する請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記モジュールハウジングは当接ブロックを含み、該当接ブロックは前記縦方向前側の前面と前記縦方向後側の後面とを含み、前記前面及び後面は、前記上下方向に対して傾斜する前傾斜面及び後傾斜面を含み、該後傾斜面は、前記縦方向後側に隣接するモジュールハウジングの当接ブロックの前傾斜面に当接し、前記第2の方向変換機構は前記当接ブロックを有する請求項1又は2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記前面及び後面は、前記上下方向に延在する前垂直面及び後垂直面を含み、該後垂直面は、前記第2の方向変換機構が前記縦方向の変位及び力の少なくとも一部を前記上下方向の変位及び力に変換する前には、前記縦方向後側に隣接するモジュールハウジングの当接ブロックの前垂直面から離間している請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記前垂直面及び後垂直面は、それぞれ、前記上下方向に複数配設され、前記前傾斜面及び後傾斜面は、それぞれ、前記上下方向に隣接する前垂直面同士及び後垂直面同士の間に配設される請求項4に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記モジュールハウジングは前記本体部を保持する端子保持壁を含み、該端子保持壁は、前記縦方向後側に隣接する単数又は複数のモジュールハウジングの端子の一対の接触腕が通過可能な溝状の凹部を含む請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記端子保持壁は前記横方向に複数配設され、前記当接ブロックは前記横方向に隣接する端子保持壁同士の間に配設される請求項6に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記縦方向に延在する本体部と、該本体部から櫛歯状に突出する複数の突片とを含む結合部材を更に備え、
前記モジュールハウジングは、前記突片を収容する位置決め孔が形成された結合ブロックを含み、前記位置決め孔の前記縦方向の寸法は前記突片の前記縦方向の寸法より大きい請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記結合部材に結合される一対のハウジング部を更に備え、
前記モジュールハウジングは、前記ハウジング部同士の間に複数並んで、配列される請求項8に記載のコネクタ。
