Claims (4)
- (a)ハウジングと、該ハウジングに装填された端子と、前記ハウジングの少なくとも一部を覆うシェルとを備え、
(b)該シェルの天板部は、カンチレバー状のラッチ部材であって、前記天板部の幅方向中央部を切起こして形成された板ばね状の単一のラッチ部材を含み、
(c)該ラッチ部材は、前記天板部に一体的に接続された基端と、該基端に接続され、後方に進むにつれて下降するように傾斜する前方連結板と、該前方連結板の後端に接続され、左右両端を折曲げることによって形成された一対のラッチ爪を含む爪支持板と、該爪支持板の後端に接続され、後方に進むにつれて上昇するように傾斜する後方連結板とを含み、前記爪支持板の幅が最も広いことを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記爪支持板は、前方に進むにつれて下降するように傾斜し、下方に向いて突出する下向凸部において前記前方連結板に接続され、
前記ハウジングは、前記ラッチ部材に対向する部分に形成されたラッチ部材収容凹部を含み、該ラッチ部材収容凹部の底面には、上方に突出する変位防止凸部が形成され、該変位防止凸部は、前記下向凸部の下方への変位量を制限する請求項1に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記コネクタは、前記シェルの天板部の少なくとも一部を覆うカバーハウジングを更に備え、
該カバーハウジングは、自由端が上下方向に変位可能であって、前記ラッチ部材の自由端の直上に位置するラッチ操作部を含み、該ラッチ操作部は、周囲が枠部によって囲まれ、該枠部の上端縁より上方に突出しない請求項1又は2に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記コネクタは、相手方コネクタと嵌合する嵌合部を更に備え、
前記ラッチ爪は、前記嵌合部に位置し、前記相手方コネクタとの嵌合が完了すると、該相手方コネクタの相手方シェルに形成された掛止孔に進入して掛止され、
前記下向凸部は、自由端を下方に変位させる操作がなされることなしに嵌合を解除する力が前記嵌合部に付与されると、前記変位防止凸部に当接して下方への変位量が制限され、これにより、前記ラッチ爪と掛止孔との掛止解除が防止される請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
