Description
Claims (3)
- 一方面側に正極が形成され、かつ他方面側に負極が形成された電極板で構成されるバイポーラ電極を有する蓄電装置であって、
前記蓄電装置はニッケル水素二次電池であり、
セパレータを介して交互に積層された前記バイポーラ電極、及び積層方向における最も外側に配置される最外電極板を有する積層体と、
前記積層体のうち、少なくとも電極板の縁部同士の間に形成されたシール部と、
前記積層体を前記積層方向における外側から拘束する一対の金属製の拘束板と、
一対の前記拘束板同士を連結する連結部材と、
前記最外電極板と前記拘束板との間に絶縁部材を介して配置される、電流を取り出す取出部を有する集電板と、を備え、
前記積層方向における内側から外側へ、前記最外電極板、前記集電板、前記絶縁部材、及び前記拘束板の順で配置され、
前記最外電極板の厚みは、前記積層方向における内側に配置される前記バイポーラ電極の電極板の厚みよりも大きく、
前記最外電極板は、積層された複数の金属箔によって構成され、
前記シール部は、前記積層体の側面を取り囲むように筒状に形成され、
前記最外電極板、及び前記バイポーラ電極の電極板のそれぞれの前記縁部は、前記シール部の内壁に埋没して外部に露出しない状態で保持され、
前記最外電極板は、前記縁部を保持する前記シール部の内側に電極露出領域を備え、前記電極露出領域において前記集電板と電気的に接触する、蓄電装置。 - 前記最外電極板は、前記金属箔と、前記金属箔の表面に形成されためっき層と、を備える、請求項1に記載の蓄電装置。
- 前記最外電極板を構成する複数の前記金属箔のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記バイポーラ電極の電極板を構成する金属箔に比して、厚みが大きい、請求項1又は2に記載の蓄電装置。
