Description
(a)透過エネルギーに曝露されると重合するプレ接着剤組成物を提供して、熱溶融処理可能な(メタ)アクリレートランダムコポリマー接着剤を提供する工程と、
(b)プレ接着剤組成物をパッケージ材料で実質的に包む工程と、
(c)プレ接着剤組成物を、プレ接着剤組成物を重合できる透過エネルギーに曝露する工程と、
(d)プレ接着剤組成物の重合を生じさせて、熱溶融処理可能な(メタ)アクリレートランダムコポリマー接着剤を提供する工程と、を含む。
90°角度剥離接着強度試験
剥離接着強度は、ASTM国際規格、D3330方法に説明される手順を使用して、305mm/分(12インチ/分)の剥離速度において、IMASS SP−200滑り/剥離試験器(IMASS,Inc.(Accord MA)から入手可能)を使用して、90°の角度で測定した。表Aに示す試験基材パネルを、乾燥したティッシュ又は記載の溶媒で濡らしたティッシュを用いて、手の圧力を強くかけてパネルを8〜10回拭くことによって準備した。この手順を更に2回繰り返した。洗浄したパネルを乾燥させた。試験する接着剤テープサンプルを1.27cm×20cm(1/2in.×8in.)を測定して細片に切断し、細片を、2.0kg(4.5lb.)のゴムローラーを2回通過させて、洗浄したパネル上へ圧延した。試験前に、基材と積層したテープを、23℃/50%相対湿度(制御された温度及び湿度、CTH)にて30分間の滞留時間で保管した。一部の実施例では、積層したテープを70℃にて24hrs経時処理してから、記載のように23℃/50%相対湿度(CTH)で試験した。各実施例につき2つのサンプルを試験し、平均値を、ニュートン/デシメートル(N/dm)で示す。
静的剪断強度を、23℃/50%相対湿度(RT)で1000gの荷重を用い、ASTM国際規格D3654の手順Aに述べられるようにして測定した。1.27cm×15.24cm(1/2in.×6in.)のテープ試験サンプルを、剥離接着力試験で説明されるパネルの洗浄及びテープの接着方法を使用して、1.5インチ×2インチ(3.81cm×5.08cm)のステンレス鋼(SS)パネルに接着させた。テープをパネルに1.27cm×2.5cmだけ重なり合わせ、細片を接着剤側でそれ自体に折り畳み、次いで、再度折り畳んだ。フックを第2の折り畳みに掛け、フックの上にテープをホチキスで留めることによって固定した。重しをフックに取り付け、パネルを23℃/50%のCTH室に掛けた。破損するまでの時間を、分で記録した。20,000分後に破壊が観察されなかった場合、試験を停止し、20,000分の値を記録した。
50重量%の粘着付与剤−2及び1重量%のAOと共に、バレル温度設定が300℃、スクリュー速度300RPM、ダイ温度設定が280℃の二軸押出成形機内で、OBCとSISとを表1に示す量でブレンドすることによって、感圧性接着剤組成物のサンプルを調製した。公称厚さ51マイクロメートル(2ミル)、幅約15.2センチメートル(6インチ)のPETフィルム上に、ドロップダイを通して組成物をコーティングすることによって、テープを作製した。上記試験方法を用いて、90°剥離接着力及び静的剪断強度についてテープを試験した。90°剥離接着力試験は、表1に示す基材及び条件について行った。
種々粘着付与剤を、以下の表2中(列「粘着ID」)に記載のように用いた以外は、上記実施例1〜3について記載したように接着剤組成物及びテープを調製し、試験した。上記実施例1〜3のように、各実施例中の粘着付与剤の量は50重量%、AO量は1重量%とした。
エラストマー−4(以下の表3ではELASという)を、SISの代わりに用いた以外は、上記実施例1〜3について記載したように接着剤組成物及びテープを調製し、試験した。エラストマー−4は、47グラム、寸法が13×5センチメートルのパウチ内に含めた。この組成物も、50重量%の粘着付与剤−3、1重量%のAOを含み、更に100重量部のエラストマー−4につき3重量部のMTAを含んでいた。
実施例10〜12では、56重量%の粘着付与剤−1及び1重量%のAOと共に、OBC(22重量%)と表4に示すエラストマー(22重量%)とをブレンドすることによって、感圧性接着剤組成物のサンプルを調製した。比較例C6では、感圧性接着剤組成物のサンプルは、OBC(44重量%)を56重量%の粘着付与剤−1及び1重量%のAOと共に含むが、エラストマーは含まなかった。形成した組成物を、上記実施例1〜3に記載するように、二軸押出成形機に送り込んだ。公称厚さ38マイクロメートル(1.5ミル)、幅約15.2センチメートル(6インチ)のPETフィルム上に、ドロップダイを通して組成物をコーティングすることによって、テープを作製した。上記試験方法を用いて、90°剥離接着力及び静的剪断強度についてテープを試験した。90°剥離接着力試験は、表4に示す基材及び条件について行った。

- 熱溶融処理可能な組成物ブレンドから構成される感圧性接着剤であって、
13〜38重量%の少なくとも1種のオレフィン性ブロックコポリマーと、
1〜38重量%の少なくとも1種のエラストマー性ポリマーと、
50〜70重量%の少なくとも1種の粘着付与樹脂と、を含み、
前記オレフィン性ブロックコポリマーが、少なくとも1種の結晶性ポリエチレンブロックを含み、
前記結晶性ポリエチレンブロックが、前記オレフィン性ブロックコポリマーの30重量%未満を構成し、
前記オレフィン性ブロックコポリマーが、0.90g/cm3未満の密度、及び100℃〜120℃の溶解温度を有し、
