- 1個あるいは2個のタイヤ部品を支持すべく配置された作業面上方のスプライスラインに沿って、タイヤ部品の先端部を、同じあるいはその他のタイヤ部品の終端部にスティチするための装置において、前記装置は、分離位置において、分離スペースを形成すべく前記先端部および前記終端部を前記作業面から分離するためのセパレータを含み、前記装置は、前記分離スペースから前記スプライスラインにおける前記先端部および前記終端部を支持すべく配置されているスティチャフットと、前記分離スペースの外側から前記スティチャフット上で前記先端部および前記終端部をスティチするために配置されているスティチャヘッドとを備えたスティチャ部を含み、前記スティチャ部は、当該スティチャ部が前記先端部を前記終端部にスティチしている間、前記スプライスラインに沿ってスティチング方向にスティチャ部を駆動するためのスティチャドライブと、前記スプライスラインに平行な前記スティチング方向に前記セパレータを引込むために、前記セパレータに結合されているセパレータドライブとを含み、前記装置は、前記スティチングの間、前記セパレータが前記スティチャ部の前方で前記スティチング方向に引込まれるように、前記セパレータドライブと前記スティチャドライブとに操作上接続され且つ同時に制御すべく配置されている制御部を更に含む装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記スティチャドライブ制御して前記スティチング方向においてあるスティチングスピードで前記スティチ部を移動すべく配置され、前記制御部は、前記スティチャ部の前記スティチングスピードに等しいかあるいはそれより大きい引込スピードにおいて、前記スティチング方向に前記セパレータを引込むべく、前記スティチングの間、前記セパレータドライブを制御するために配置されている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記スティチャヘッドは、ある回転スピードにおいて駆動されるべき前記先端部および前記終端部を係合して、前記スティチング方向へあるスティチングスピードにおいて、前記スティチングラインに沿って、前記終端部および前記先端部に渡って前記スティチャ部を引込むべく配置されている、一組の上部スティチングホイールを含んでいる請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記スティチャドライブは、前記スティチャ部を保持するために配置されている第1のドライブ部材と、当該第1のドライブ部材を保持するための第2のドライブ部材とを含み、前記スティチャドライブは、あるドライブスピードにおいて前記スティチング方向に前記第2のドライブ部材を引込むための引込ドライブを更に含んでおり、前記制御部は、あるドライブスピードで前記第2のドライブ部材を引込むと共に前記ドライブスピードに等しいある引込スピードで前記セパレータを引込むべく、操作上前記セパレータドライブおよび前記引込ドライブに接続されており、前記第1のドライブ部材は、スティチングの間、前記スティチャ部と前記1個もしくはそれ以上のタイヤ部品との間の可変抵抗の結果、前記第2のドライブ部材についてスティチャ部のスティチングスピードにおける差を吸収すべく、前記スティチング方向における前記第2のドライブ部材に対して前後に可動であり、前記アセンブリは前記第2のドライブ部材に対する前記第1のドライブ部材のそのようなスピード差あるいは前記位置を検出するための1個もしくはそれ以上のセンサを具備しており、前記制御部は、前記スティチングスピードにおける前記差を補償すべく、前記第2のドライブ部材の前記ドライブスピードを制御するために、配置されている請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記セパレータドライブおよび前記スティチャドライブを制御して、前記スティチングの間、前記スティチング方向における前記スティチャ部の前方におけるある一定のクリアランスで、前記セパレータを維持すべく、配置されている請求項1から請求項4の何れか一つに記載の装置。
- 前記スティチャ部および前記セパレータは、前記スティチングの間、前記スティチャ部と前記セパレータの間の前記クリアランスにおける前記先端部と前記終端部を支持しないように配置されている請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記スティチングの間、前記スティチャ部と前記セパレータとの間の前記クリアランスが、10cm未満である請求項5又は6に記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータは、前記作業面に垂直な垂直方向にある分離距離に亘って、前記先端部および前記終端部を前記作業面から分離するために、配置されており、前記スティチャフットは同じ垂直方向へある高さを有しており、前記分離距離は前記スティチャフットの前記高さに等しいかそれ以上である請求項1から請求項7の何れか一つに記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータは、剛体であること請求項1から請求項8の何れか一つに記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータは、バーあるいはストリップである請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータドライブは、並進運動における前記スティチング方向に前記セパレータを引込むべく、当該セパレータに結合される請求項9あるいは10に記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータは、可撓性を有する請求項1乃至8の何れか一つに記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータは、前記スプライスライン沿って折り畳まれるように配置されている可撓性バンドである請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記セパレータドライブは、前記スティチング方向において前記可撓性バンドを引込むべく、前記可撓性バンドの一端に、前記可撓性バンドの当該一端を引っ張ることにより、結合されている請求項13に記載の装置。
- 請求項1から請求項14の何れかの一つに記載の装置とタイヤビルディングドラムとのアセンブリにおいて、前記作業面は前記タイヤビルディングドラムの前記周面であるか、あるいは前記タイヤビルディングドラムの前記周面上に支持されている更なるタイヤ部品の前記外面であるアセンブリ。
- 前記タイヤビルディングドラムは回転軸を有し、前記タイヤビルディングドラムの前記周面は、前記回転軸の回りに同心状に延在し、前記スプライスラインは、前記回転軸に平行に延在する請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 1個あるいは2個のタイヤ部品を支持すべく配置される作業面の上方のスプライスラインに沿って、タイヤ部品の先端部を、同じあるいはその他のタイヤ部品の終端部にスティチするための方法において、前記方法は、
セパレータを供給する工程と、
前記作業面から分離位置において、前記セパレータを用いて前記先端部および前記終端部を分離して、分離スペースを形成する工程と、
スティチャフットと、スティチャヘッドとを備えたスティチャ部を供給する工程と、
前記分離スペースから前記スプライスラインにおける前記スティチャフットを用いて前記先端部および前記終端部を支持し、そして前記分離スペースの外側から前記スティチャヘッドを用いて前記スティチャフット上で前記先端部および前記終端部をスティチする工程と、
前記スティチャ部が前記先端部を前記終端部にスティチしつつ、前記スプライスラインに沿ってスティチング方向に、前記スティチャ部を駆動する工程と、
前記セパレータを前記スティチング方向に前記スティチャ部の前方で引込む工程を含む
方法。 - 前記セパレータが、ある引込スピードで前記スティチング方向に引込まれ、前記スティチャ部は、あるスティチングスピードで前記スティチング方向に移動され、前記セパレータは、前記スティチングスピードに少なくとも等しい、もしくはそれよりも大きい引込スピードを用いて引込まれる請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記スティチャヘッドは、前記先端部および前記終端部を係合し、ある回転スピードにおいて駆動され、前記スティチング方向へあるスティチングスピードで、前記スティチングラインに沿って、前記終端部および前記先端部に亘って前記スティチャ部を引っ張る、一組の上部スティチングホイールを含む請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記スティチャドライブは、前記スティチャ部を保持する第1のドライブ部材と、当該第1のドライブ部材を保持する第2のドライブ部材とを含み、当該第2のドライブ部材は、あるドライブスピードにおいて前記スティチング方向に引込まれ、前記セパレータは前記ドライブスピードに等しいある引込スピードで、前記スティチング方向に引込まれ、前記第1のドライブ部材は、前記スティチングの間、スティチャ部と1個もしくはそれ以上のタイヤ部品との可変抵抗の結果、前記第2のドライブ部材に対して前記スティチャ部の前記スティチングスピードにおける差を吸収すべく、前記スティチング方向における前記第2のドライブ部材に対して前後に移動し、前記第2のドライブ部材に対する前記第1のドライブ部材のそのようなスピード差あるいは前記位置が検出され、そして前記スティチングスピードにおける前記差を補償すべく前記第2のドライブ部材の前記ドライブスピードが制御される請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記セパレータは、前記スティチングの間、前記スティチング方向に前記スティチャ部の前方で一定のクリアランスで保持されている請求項17乃至20の何れか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記先端部および前記終端部は、前記スティチングの間、前記スティチャ部と前記セパレータとの間の前記クリアランスにおいて支持されていない請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記スティチングの間、前記スティチャ部と前記セパレータとの間の前記クリアランスが、10cm未満である請求項20乃至22の何れか一つに記載の方法。
