Description
前記コードプライを一周巻きさせ、前記後端縁側から前端縁側まで前記側縁部を互いに向き合わせかつ間隙Gを有して配置させる前記巻付け面を有する巻付け体、
前記間隙Gの方向に沿って前後移動させる走行手段、
並びに、この走行手段に取り付けられて前後移動するとともに前記間隙Gを通って上下にのびる立片の下端に、前記コードプライの下面かつ前記間隙Gの付近を受ける受け面を有する支持片を設けた昇降自在な受け体、及び前記受け体と一体に前後移動しうるとともに前記受け体の前記立片の後部に位置し、かつ降下することにより該後部の前記受け面上のコードプライを押圧しかつ前記側縁部間を近づけ間隙Gを閉じて接合する主の接合具を有する接合手段を具え、
しかも前記主の接合具は、回転軸芯廻りのコーン面を有する截頭円錐台状の主部と、このコーン面の大径部側で同心に連設されるマイタギヤ部とを一体に有する一対の主のコマ体を含み、かつ一対の主のコマ体は、前記マイタギヤ部が互いに噛合し、かつ一方の主のコマ体がコマ体駆動モータを含む速度制御手段により駆動されるとともに、
前記一対の主のコマ体は、前記コーン面の大径部側をその全周に沿って切り落とされ、切落し後のコーン面の第1の大径縁と、この第1の大径縁にマイタギヤ部側で切除面を介して連なる第2の大径縁とを有し、
かつ該一対の主のコマ体は、前記第2の大径縁が互いに当接し、かつその当接点を前記間隙Gの中心に位置させ、しかも前記当接点をへて2つのコーン面を通る母線が前記受け面と平行となる配置で向き合わされて枢支されることにより、
2つのコマ体の前記切除面によって、2つのコーン面間に引き寄せられたゴムが収容されるゴム溜まり部を形成したことを特徴としている。
前記接合手段は、前記一対の主のコマ体を有する前記主の接合具を具えかつ前記前部用の走行紐体に取り付けられるとともに、後端縁から前端縁側に50mm以上かつコードプライの巾の1/2倍未満の距離Lを隔てる接合開始位置から前端縁に亘る先行接合領域の間隙Gを、後端縁側に未接合の残接合領域を残して閉じる第1の接合手段と、
前記後部用の走行紐体に取り付けられるとともに、未接合の前記残接合領域の間隙Gを、前記第1の接合手段による接合に遅れてかつ前記接合開始位置から後端縁側に移動することにより閉じる従の接合具を有する第2の接合手段とを含むことを特徴としている。
図1は、本発明のコードプライの側縁部接合装置1を示す側面図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態のコードプライの側縁部接合装置1(以下に、単に側縁部接合装置1という場合がある)は、コードプライPを一周巻きさせる回転可能な巻付け体2と、走行手段3と、この走行手段3に支持されて前後移動できかつ前記一周巻きされたコードプライPの向き合う側縁部PE、PE間(図2に示す)を互いに突き合わせて該コードプライPの後端縁Prから前端縁Pfまで連続して接合する接合手段4とを具える。
試供タイヤをリム(17×7JJ)に装着しかつ内圧(200kPa)を充填したときのバルジ・デントの発生状況を、検査員の目視によって官能評価し、3点を合格ラインとする5点法によって評価した。値の大きい方が優れている。
ユニフォミティー試験機を用い、仕上がりタイヤ(各100本)に対し、RFV(ラジアルフォースバリエーション)測定し、その平均値を比較した。
又側縁部接合装置を用て側縁部PE、PE間を接合したコードプライPから、接合部を含みかつコード長さ方向の巾が50mmの未加硫のサンプル片を採取した。そして5枚のサンプル片に対し、その両端部をクランプしてコード長さ方向と直角方向に徐々に引っ張り、150%伸張時における接合部の剥がれの発生数を検査した。

Claims (7)
- 平行に引き揃えられかつゴム被覆したコードからなるコードプライに、このコードプライが巻付け面上で一周巻きされることにより互いに向き合う該コードプライの前記コードに沿う側縁部間が、互いに突き合わされて該コードプライの後端縁から前端縁まで連続して接合される接合部を形成するコードプライの側縁部接合装置であって、
前記コードプライを一周巻きさせ、前記後端縁側から前端縁側まで前記側縁部を互いに向き合わせかつ間隙Gを有して配置させる前記巻付け面を有する巻付け体、
前記間隙Gの方向に沿って前後移動させる走行手段、
並びに、この走行手段に取り付けられて前後移動するとともに前記間隙Gを通って上下にのびる立片の下端に、前記コードプライの下面かつ前記間隙Gの付近を受ける受け面を有する支持片を設けた昇降自在な受け体、及び前記受け体と一体に前後移動しうるとともに前記受け体の前記立片の後部に位置し、かつ降下することにより該後部の前記受け面上のコードプライを押圧しかつ前記側縁部間を近づけ間隙Gを閉じて接合する主の接合具を有する接合手段を具え、
しかも前記主の接合具は、回転軸芯廻りのコーン面を有する截頭円錐台状の主部と、このコーン面の大径部側で同心に連設されるマイタギヤ部とを一体に有する一対の主のコマ体を含み、かつ一対の主のコマ体は、前記マイタギヤ部が互いに噛合し、かつ一方の主のコマ体がコマ体駆動モータを含む速度制御手段により駆動されるとともに、
前記一対の主のコマ体は、前記コーン面の大径部側をその全周に沿って切り落とされ、切落し後のコーン面の第1の大径縁と、この第1の大径縁にマイタギヤ部側で切除面を介して連なる第2の大径縁とを有し、
かつ該一対の主のコマ体は、前記第2の大径縁が互いに当接し、かつその当接点を前記間隙Gの中心に位置させ、しかも前記当接点をへて2つのコーン面を通る母線が前記受け面と平行となる配置で向き合わされて枢支されることにより、
2つのコマ体の前記切除面によって、2つのコーン面間に引き寄せられたゴムが収容されるゴム溜まり部を形成したことを特徴とするコードプライの側縁部接合装置。 - 前記コマ体駆動モータは、少なくとも低速度と、中速度と、高速度の三段階で変速可能な変速モータであり、かつ前記主の接合具による前記間隙Gの接合長さの2〜17%の範囲の初期域、前記接合長さの5〜20%の範囲の終期域、及びその間の中期域からなる速度域において、前記速度制御手段は、前記コマ体駆動モータを、初期域の回転駆動速度をv1、中期域の回転駆動速度をv2、終期域の回転駆動速度をv3としたとき、v1>v2>v3であって、v1/v2が1.00より大かつ1.10以下、v3/v2が0.70以上かつ0.80以下としたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。
- 前記主の接合具は、前記一対の主のコマ体を、前記第2の大径縁が互いに当接し、かつその当接点をへて2つのコーン面を通る母線が前記受け面と平行となる配置で向き合わせて枢支した状態において、前記一対の主のコマ体の回転軸芯をともに含む平面をその上方が、該主のコマ体がコードプライに対して走行する向きに傾けて配し、これにより前記当接点を、前記主のコマ体の最下点よりも走行方向後方に位置させたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。
- 前記一対の主のコマ体の回転軸芯をともに含む平面の前記受け面に対する傾斜角度αは、90°より小かつ60°以上であることを特徴とする請求項3記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。
- 前記走行手段は、前後方向に進行可能な2条の前部用の走行紐体と後部用の走行紐体とを具え、
前記接合手段は、前記一対の主のコマ体を有する前記主の接合具を具えかつ前記前部用の走行紐体に取り付けられるとともに、後端縁から前端縁側に50mm以上かつコードプライの巾の1/2倍未満の距離Lを隔てる接合開始位置から前端縁に亘る先行接合領域の間隙Gを、後端縁側に未接合の残接合領域を残して閉じる第1の接合手段と、
前記後部用の走行紐体に取り付けられるとともに、未接合の前記残接合領域の間隙Gを、前記第1の接合手段による接合に遅れてかつ前記接合開始位置から後端縁側に移動することにより閉じる従の接合具を有する第2の接合手段とを含むことを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。 - 前記従の接合具は、回転軸芯廻りのコーン面を有する截頭円錐台状の主部と、このコーン面の大径部側で同心に連設されるマイタギヤ部とを一体に有する一対の従のコマ体を具えることを特徴とする請求項5記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。
- 前記第1の接合手段は、前記主の接合具の後方に、接合されたコードプライの表面を整一するための補助接合具を具え、この補助接合具は、回転軸芯廻りのコーン面を有する截頭円錐台状の主部と、このコーン面の大径部側で同心に連設されるマイタギヤ部とを一体に有する一対の補助コマ体を具えることを特徴とする請求項6記載のコードプライの側縁部接合装置。
