Description
また、本発明は、ゴムで形成されたタイヤ構成部材の端部同士を接合して、接合されたタイヤ構成部材を製造するタイヤ構成部材の製造方法であって、タイヤ構成部材の端部同士の接合手段を、タイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って往復させつつ、それぞれ端部に沿った移動方向の後方側縁部と中央部の間の途中位置で端部に接触させて移動方向の前方側縁部まで移動させる工程と、タイヤ構成部材の端部上を往復して移動する接合手段により、端部同士を突き合わせて接合する工程と、を有し、前記移動させる工程は、接合手段を、往復時でタイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って対称に移動させることを特徴とする。
本実施形態の製造装置は、ゴムで形成されたタイヤ各部を構成する部材(タイヤ構成部材)の端部同士を突き合わせて接合する接合手段を備え、接合手段により端部同士を接合して、端部が接合されたタイヤ構成部材(接合タイヤ構成部材)を製造する。
製造装置1は、図示のように、軸線が水平方向に保持された円筒状の成形ドラム2と、タイヤ構成部材70を接合するための接合手段30と、接合手段30を移動させる移動手段10と、装置全体を制御する制御装置60とを備えている。
接合ローラ40の外周には、図示のように、周方向に延びる突条Tが、環状に、又は螺旋状に複数並列して形成され、全体の断面形状が、複数の突出部が並んだ鋸歯状に形成されている。突条Tは、突起41側の側面が接合ローラ40の軸線方向と直交し、他方側の側面が所定角度で傾斜する断面三角形状に形成され、接合ローラ40の突起41を含む外周の全体に亘って配置されている。接合ローラ40は、これら各突条Tがタイヤ構成部材70の端部71、72に当接して、端部71、72の所定範囲に押し付けられる。
図示のように、複数のコードCを有するタイヤ構成部材70は、接合により、端部71、72の表面側(図4では上側)のゴム73Wが、突起41A、41Bにより交互に他方側の端部71、72の表面まで部分的に引き伸ばされる。その結果、接合部73は、内側(図4では下側)の直線的に圧着された部分に対し、表面側の端部71、72が、交互に他方側の表面に重なり合い、波状をなして接合される。
製造装置1は、移動手段10により、接合手段30(図5A参照)をタイヤ構成部材70から離間させた状態で移動させ、タイヤ構成部材70の端部71、72に沿った一方の縁部74を通過させる。続いて、接合手段30を、一方の縁部74と中央部75の間の所定位置で下降させて端部71、72に接触させる。
Claims (5)
- ゴムで形成されたタイヤ構成部材の端部同士を接合して、接合されたタイヤ構成部材を製造するタイヤ構成部材の製造装置であって、
接合するタイヤ構成部材の端部上を移動して、端部同士を突き合わせて接合する接合手段と、
接合手段をタイヤ構成部材の端部に接触及び離間させ、かつ、端部に沿って移動させる移動手段と、
移動手段を制御して、接合手段を、タイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って往復させつつ、それぞれ端部に沿った移動方向の後方側縁部と中央部の間の途中位置で端部に接触させて移動方向の前方側縁部まで移動させる制御手段と、を備え、
制御手段は、接合手段を、往復時でタイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って対称に移動させることを特徴とするタイヤ構成部材の製造装置。 - 請求項1に記載されたタイヤ構成部材の製造装置において、
接合するタイヤ構成部材が巻き付けられる成形ドラムを備えたことを特徴とするタイヤ構成部材の製造装置。 - 請求項2に記載されたタイヤ構成部材の製造装置において、
成形ドラムの外周に沿って往復移動して、端部同士が接合されたタイヤ構成部材にビード部材を配置するビードセッターを備え、
移動手段は、接合手段が設けられたビードセッターからなり、ビードセッターにより接合手段をタイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って移動させることを特徴とするタイヤ構成部材の製造装置。 - 請求項2又は3に記載されたタイヤ構成部材の製造装置において、
成形ドラムは、軸線方向の両側部の外周にサイドブラダを有し、
制御手段は、往復時の接合手段を、サイドブラダよりも成形ドラムの中央部側でタイヤ構成部材の端部に接触させて移動させることを特徴とするタイヤ構成部材の製造装置。 - ゴムで形成されたタイヤ構成部材の端部同士を接合して、接合されたタイヤ構成部材を製造するタイヤ構成部材の製造方法であって、
タイヤ構成部材の端部同士の接合手段を、タイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って往復させつつ、それぞれ端部に沿った移動方向の後方側縁部と中央部の間の途中位置で端部に接触させて移動方向の前方側縁部まで移動させる工程と、
タイヤ構成部材の端部上を往復して移動する接合手段により、端部同士を突き合わせて接合する工程と、を有し、
前記移動させる工程は、接合手段を、往復時でタイヤ構成部材の端部に沿って対称に移動させることを特徴とするタイヤ構成部材の製造方法。
