Description
図3は、本発明の一実施形態による光源束305およびリダイレクト・ブロック335の図である。図示のように、リダイレクト・ブロック335は、複数の光源(光源束305)からの光を受けて、個々の光源のビームを変調器320に向けてリダイレクトする、多重リダイレクト・ブロックである。このリダイレクトは、光学素子(例えば、光学素子330および332)によって提供される。光学素子は、例えば、反射器またはビームスプリッタ(例えば、分割ビームの一部分は変調器320に向けられ、その他の部分は第2の変調器に向けられる)(例えば、ある光ビームを通過させ、他の光ビームを同一または同様の光路に反射するように構成されたスプリッタ)とすることができる。光学素子は、該光学ブロックに埋め込まれたミラーまたは銀面とすることができる。また、光学素子は、全反射を生じさせる光学ブロックにおける模様(impression)または他の変化(permutation)とすることもできる。各光路に、1つよりも多くの光学素子(または反射器)を用いることができる。
本発明について、本明細書では、レーザ光で照明する場合に関して説明したが、本発明は、広帯域またはより広帯域の光源(例えば、LED、ナノチューブベースの光源など)を用いて実施することもできる。図面に示す本発明の好ましい実施形態についての説明では、明確にするために具体的な用語を用いている。しかしながら、本発明は、そのように選択された特定の用語に限定されるものではなく、具体的要素のそれぞれは、同様に機能するあらゆる技術的均等物を含むものと理解されるべきである。
Claims (15)
- プロジェクタであって、
光源と、
ディスプレイ変調器と、
前記光源からの光を前記ディスプレイ変調器上に向けるように構成された中点変調器とを備え、
前記中点変調器は、前記ディスプレイ変調器の1次エリアから前記ディスプレイ変調器の別のエリアに光を選択的にリダイレクトするようにさらに構成されており、
前記ディスプレイ変調器上に照射される光は、オーバラップする光のパターンを含み、前記オーバラップする光のパターンは、照明エリア全体にわたって、エリア間の相対的混合が中央エリアに向かって増加するか、または減少することにより徐々に変化するように、構成されており、
前記ディスプレイ変調器は、画像データ、前記オーバラップする光のパターン、および選択的にリダイレクトされる光に従ってエネルギー付与される、プロジェクタ。 - 前記中点変調器は、反射器を含む反射により動作し、かつ前記中点変調器は、拡散光を前記ディスプレイ変調器上にホログラフィックに分配するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記中点変調器は、画像データに基づく明るいエリアと暗いエリアとの間の遷移を含む方式で前記ディスプレイ変調器の全域に光を分配する、請求項1に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 光の分配は、レンズ効果を示す光の分配を含む、請求項3に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記ディスプレイ変調器上の暗いエリアは、黒への漸次フェードを含む、請求項3に記載のプロジェクタ。
- ホログラフ効果および小型レンズのレンズ効果を有する光学素子によって前記ディスプレイ変調器上の光の拡散が生じる、請求項3に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記ディスプレイ変調器上に向けられる光は、滑らかに変化する局所的に調光されたパターンの光を含む、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記光源は、赤色レーザ、緑色レーザ、及び青色レーザを含む、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記ディスプレイ変調器上に向けられる光は、ホログラフィックに修正された光を含む、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記中点変調器は、複数の光学素子のアレイを含み、該複数の光学素子は、複数の光学素子に向けられる光の個々の経路を前記ディスプレイ変調器の暗いエリアから明るいエリアに変更するように構成されている、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記中点変調器は、小型レンズのアレイを含むように構成される、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記ディスプレイ変調器上に照射されるホログラフィックに修正された光の光照射野シミュレーション及び投射されるべき所望の画像の画像データに基づいて前記ディスプレイ変調器のエネルギー付与を決定するように構成されたコントローラを更に備える請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 所望の画像の画像データは、高ダイナミックレンジの画像データを含む、請求項12に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記中点変調器は、リダイレクション光学素子を含み、該リダイレクション光学素子は、リダイレクトされる光のホログラフィックな拡散を含む、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記中点変調器は、少なくとも部分的に反射及びホログラフィにより光をリダイレクトし、2以上のホログラフィックに修正された反射が前記ディスプレイ変調器の少なくとも1つの他のエリアよりも明るい前記ディスプレイ変調器の同じエリアにリダイレクトされる、請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のプロジェクタ。
