Description
携帯用酸素濃縮器システム100および家庭用酸素濃縮器システム720は、少なくとも2つのキャニスタを含み得、各キャニスタは、ガス分離吸着剤を含む。いずれの酸素濃縮器システムのキャニスタも、成形されたハウジング内に配置され得る。ある実施形態では、図5に示すように、キャニスタシステム300は2つのハウジング構成部品310及び510を含む。ハウジング部品310および510は、別個に形成された後、共に連結され得る。一部の実施形態では、ハウジング部品310および510は、射出成形または圧縮成形され得る。ハウジング部品310および510は、ポリカーボネート、メチレンカーバイド、ポリスチレン、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン(ABS)、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、またはポリ塩化ビニルなどの熱可塑性ポリマーから作られ得る。別の実施形態では、ハウジング部品310および510は、熱硬化性プラスチックまたは金属(ステンレススチールまたは軽量アルミニウム合金など)から作られ得る。軽量素材は、酸素濃縮器100の重量を減らすために使用され得る。一部の実施形態では、2つのハウジング310および510は、ねじまたはボルトを使用して、一緒に固定され得る。あるいは、ハウジング部品310および510は、一緒に溶剤接着され得る。

酸素濃縮器システムの主な用途は、酸素補給をユーザに供給することである。一般に、供給される酸素補給量は、医師によって評価される。酸素補給の典型的な処方量は、約1LPMから約10LPMまでの範囲であり得る。最も一般的な処方量は、1LPM、2LPM、3LPM、および4LPMである。一般に、酸素富化ガスは、ユーザの処方要件を満たすように、呼吸サイクル中にユーザに供給される。本明細書で使用される場合、「呼吸サイクル」の語は、後に呼気が続く、人間の吸気を指す。
ある実施形態では、ボーラス投与量プロファイルが特定のユーザのプロファイルと調和するように設計され得る。そうするために、吸気プロファイルが、圧力センサ194および流量センサ185から集めた情報に基づいて生成され得る。吸気プロファイルは、以下のパラメータ、すなわち、ユーザの呼吸数、ユーザの吸気量、ユーザの呼気量、ユーザの吸気流量、およびユーザの呼気流量のうちの1つまたは2つ以上に基づいて評価され得る。ユーザの呼吸数は、先述のように、圧力センサ194または流量センサ185を用いて吸気の開始を検出することによって評価され得る。吸気量は、吸気中の圧力変化を測定して、圧力変化に基づいて吸気量を算出また経験的に評価することによって評価され得る。あるいは、吸気量は、吸気中の流量を測定して、吸気の流量および長さに基づいて吸気量を算出または経験的に評価することによって評価され得る。呼気量は、呼気中の正方向の圧力変化、または流量および呼気時間のいずれかを用いて同様に評価され得る。ユーザの吸気流量は、吸気の開始直後から測定される。吸気の終了の検出は、圧力センサまたは流量センサに基づき得る。吸気の開始が圧力センサによって検出される場合、開始は、圧力降下によって特徴付けられる。圧力が上昇し始めると、吸気が完了したとみなされる。吸気の開始が流量センサによって検出される場合、開始は、流量の増加によって特徴付けられる。流量が減少し始めると、吸気が完了したとみなされる。
Claims (22)
- 酸素富化ガスの生成方法であって、
第1の酸素濃縮器装置を第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結することであって、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つのキャニスタと、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタ内に配置されるガス分離吸着剤であって、少なくともいくらかの窒素を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる前記キャニスタ内の空気から分離して酸素富化ガスを生成する、ガス分離吸着剤と、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタに連結される少なくとも1つの圧縮器を備える第1の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムと、
第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラであって、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに記憶された動作パラメータを用いて前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を制御する、第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラと、
を備え、
前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置が、
前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つのキャニスタと、
前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタ内に配置されるガス分離吸着剤であって、少なくともいくらかの窒素を前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる前記キャニスタ内の空気から分離して酸素富化ガスを生成する、ガス分離吸着剤と、
第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタに連結される少なくとも1つの圧縮器を備える第2の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムと、
第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラであって、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに記憶された動作パラメータを用いて前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を制御する、第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラと、
を備え、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結された場合、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラが前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに連結される、
連結することと、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結された場合、前記第1の装置コントローラの前記動作パラメータに基づいて、前記第2の装置コントローラの前記動作パラメータを変更することであって、前記第2の装置コントローラの前記動作パラメータが前記第1の装置コントローラによって変更される、変更することと、
を含む、酸素富化ガスの生成方法。 - 前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置から酸素富化ガスをユーザに提供しながら、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置内のガス吸着剤を再生することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラを使用して前記第1および第2の酸素濃縮器装置を制御することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 無線コントローラから前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラおよび/または前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに信号を送信することによって前記第1および第2の酸素濃縮器装置を制御することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラを使用して前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の前記動作に関する診断情報を収集することと、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結された場合、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラによって前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の前記動作に関する診断情報を収集することと、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラをコンピュータシステムに連結することをさらに含み、前記コンピュータシステムが、
前記収集された診断情報を解析し、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置および/または前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のための新しい動作パラメータを決定し、および、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置および/または前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のための前記新しい動作パラメータを前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラ上に記憶する、
請求項5に記載の方法。 - 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結された場合、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラ上に記憶された前記動作パラメータを、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のために前記コンピュータシステムによって準備された前記新しい動作パラメータへ変更するために、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラを使用することをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 連結システムが、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の電源を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の電源に連結し、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の前記電源が、充電式の電源を備え、および、前記方法が、前記連結システムを通して前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の前記電源を使用して前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の前記充電式電源を充電することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 連結システムが、前記第1の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムの前記圧縮器を前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の前記キャニスタのうちの1つまたは2つ以上に連結する1つまたは2つ以上の導管を備え、前記方法が、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置が前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結された場合、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の前記導管のうちの1つまたは2つ以上に圧縮空気を提供するように、前記第1の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムの前記圧縮器を操作することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置を前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置から連結解除することと、
携帯用コントローラを前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に前記連結システムを介して連結することと、
をさらに含み、
前記携帯用コントローラが、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置を操作する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置が、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に連結して、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置から前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に酸素富化ガスが供給されるようにする、1つまたは2つ以上の導管をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置が、酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器と、前記酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に連結する1つ以上の導管と、をさらに備え、
前記方法が、前記酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器から前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置へ酸素富化ガスを提供することをさらに含み、かつ
前記導管が、前記酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の膨張チャンバに連結する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置が、酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器と、前記酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に連結する1つ以上の導管と、をさらに備え、
前記方法が、前記酸素富化ガス貯蔵容器から前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置へ酸素富化ガスを提供することをさらに含み、かつ
前記1つまたは2つ以上の導管が、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のアキュムレータに連結する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 1つまたは2つ以上の導管が、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のユーザに酸素を供給する前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の流出口導管に連結する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 連結システムが、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のサイズおよび形状に対して相補的なサイズおよび形状を有する支持構造を備え、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置を前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に連結することが、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置を少なくとも部分的に前記支持構造内に配置することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 患者個別の酸素富化ガス送達パラメータが、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラ上に記憶され、

前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタ内に配置されるガス分離吸着剤であって、少なくともいくらかの窒素を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる前記キャニスタ内の空気から分離して酸素富化ガスを生成する、ガス分離吸着剤と、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタに連結される少なくとも1つの圧縮器を備える第1の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムと、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を制御する、第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラと、
を備える、第1の酸素濃縮器装置と、
第2の酸素濃縮器装置であって、
前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つのキャニスタと、
前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置に備えられる少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタ内に配置されるガス分離吸着剤であって、少なくともいくらかの窒素を前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置内に備えられる前記キャニスタ内の空気から分離して酸素富化ガスを生成する、ガス分離吸着剤と、
少なくとも2つの前記キャニスタに連結される少なくとも1つの圧縮器を備える第2の酸素濃縮器圧縮システムと、
第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラであって、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに記憶された動作パラメータを用いて前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を制御する、第2の装置コントローラと、
前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラを前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置コントローラに連結する連結システムと、
を備える、第2の酸素濃縮器装置と
を備え、
前記第1および第2の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラが、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実装する、
酸素濃縮器システム。 - 前記第2の酸素濃縮器システムが、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に連結して前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置から前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置に酸素富化ガスが供給されるようにする、1つまたは2つ以上の導管をさらに備える、請求項17に記載の酸素濃縮器システム。
- 1つまたは2つ以上の導管が、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のアキュムレータに連結する、請求項17に記載の酸素濃縮器システム。
- 1つまたは2つ以上の導管が、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の1つまたは2つ以上のキャニスタの流出口を、前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のユーザに酸素を供給する前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置の流出口導管に連結する、請求項17に記載の酸素濃縮器システム。
- 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラにより前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラへ提供される動作パラメータを用いて、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラが独立して制御する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラにより前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラへ提供される動作パラメータを用いて、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置の動作を、前記第2の酸素濃縮器装置のコントローラが独立して制御する、請求項17に記載の方法。
