Description
図1は、発光装置の回路構成を示す回路図である。図1に示す発光装置1は、第1の色温度を有する第1の白色光を発光する白色光源11と、第1の色温度よりも低い第2の色温度を有する第2の白色光を発光する白色光源12と、を具備する。発光装置1は、第1の白色光と第2の白色光との混合白色光を発光する機能を有する。白色光源11および白色光源12には、例えば同一の電源回路により電流を供給することができる。

図2はLED電球の構成を示す図である。図2に示すLED電球50は、発光装置51が設けられた基体52と、グローブ53と、口金54と、を具備する。発光装置51としては、第1の実施形態に示す発光装置を用いることができる。基体52は、例えば放熱性を有する金属材料等を有することが好ましい。グローブ53は、発光装置51を覆うように基体52に取り付けられる。グローブ53は、例えばガラス等の透光性を有する材料を用いて形成される。口金54は、基体52および発光装置51に電気的に接続される。口金54は、導電性材料により形成される。なお、例えば基体52の内部に発光装置50に供給する電流を制御する制御回路として点灯回路を設けてもよい。
図5は、実施例1における発光装置の回路構成を示す回路図である。図5に示す発光装置70は、白色光源71と、白色光源72と、を具備する。白色光源72は、白色光源71に並列接続で電気的に接続される。白色光源71は、図1に示す白色光源11に相当し、白色光源72は、図1に示す白色光源12に相当する。
図11は、実施例2における発光装置の回路構成を示す回路図である。図11に示す発光装置170は、白色光源171と、白色光源172と、白色光源173と、を具備する。白色光源172および白色光源173は、白色光源171に並列接続で電気的に接続される。白色光源171は、図5に示す白色光源71に相当し、白色光源173は、図5に示す白色光源72に相当する。
比較例1として、白色光の色温度が2800Kの一般的なLED電球を用意し、比較例2として白熱電球を用意し、実施例1および実施例2との発光特性の違いを比較した。
Claims (10)
- 互いに直列接続で順方向に電気的に接続されたN個(Nは2以上の自然数)の第1の白色発光ダイオードを備え、第1の色温度を有する第1の白色光を発光する第1の白色光源と、
互いに直列接続で順方向に電気的に接続されたM個(MはN未満の自然数)の第2の白色発光ダイオードと前記第2の白色発光ダイオードに直列接続で電気的に接続され、第1の抵抗値を有する第1の抵抗素子とを備え、前記第1の白色光源と並列接続で電気的に接続され、前記第1の色温度よりも低い第2の色温度を有する第2の白色光を発光する第2の白色光源と、
制御回路と、を具備し、前記第1の白色光と前記第2の白色光との混合白色光を発光する発光装置であって、
前記第1の白色光源の駆動電圧は、第2の白色光源の駆動電圧よりも高く、
前記制御回路は、前記混合白色光の全光束が高いほど前記混合白色光の色温度が高くなるように、前記第1の白色光源および前記第2の白色光源に供給される電流量を調整する、発光装置。 - CIE色度図において、前記第1の白色光源と前記第2の白色光源とのCxの差は0.04以上であり、かつ前記第1の白色光源と前記第2の白色光源とのCyの差は0.001以上である、請求項1に記載の発光装置。
- 前記第2の白色光源の駆動電流に対する前記第1の白色光源の駆動電流の比は、10以上である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の発光装置。
- 前記第1の白色発光ダイオードおよび前記第2の白色発光ダイオードは、370nm乃至420nmに発光ピーク波長を有する光を発する発光ダイオード素子と、前記発光ダイオード素子の光による励起により白色光を発光する蛍光体と、を有し、
前記蛍光体は、
一般式:(Sr1−x−y−zBaxCayEuz)5(PO4)3・Cl …(1)
(式中、x、y、及びzは0≦x<0.5、0≦y<0.1、0.005≦z<0.1を満足する数である)
で表される組成を有するユーロピウム(Eu)付活アルカリ土類クロロ燐酸塩蛍光体を含む青色蛍光体と、
一般式:(Ba1−x−y−zSrxCayEuz)(Mg1−uMnu)Al10O17 …(2)
(式中、x、y、z、及びuは0≦x<0.2、0≦y<0.1、0.005<z<0.5、0.1<u<0.5を満足する数である)
で表される組成を有するユーロピウム(Eu)及びマンガン(Mn)付活アルカリ土類アルミン酸塩蛍光体、
一般式:(Sr1−x−y−z−uBaxMgyEuzMnu)2SiO4 …(3)
(式中、x、y、z、及びuは0.1≦x≦0.35、0.025≦y≦0.105、0.025≦z≦0.25、0.0005≦u≦0.02を満足する数である)
で表される組成を有するユーロピウム(Eu)及びマンガン(Mn)付活アルカリ土類珪酸塩蛍光体、
一般式:RE3AxAl5−x−yByO12:Cez …(4)
(式中、REはY、Lu、及びGdから選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素を示し、A及びBは対をなす元素であって、(A、B)が(Mg、Si)、(B、Sc)、(B.In)のいずれかであり、x、y、及びzはx<2、y<2、0.9≦x/y≦1.1、0.05≦z≦0.5 を満足する数である)で表される組成を有するセリウム(Ce)付活希土類アルミン酸塩蛍光体、

一般式:(Ba1−x−y−z−uSrxMgyEuzMnu)2SiO4 …(11)
(式中、x、y、z、及びuは0.1≦x≦0.35、0.025≦y≦0.105、0.025≦z≦0.25、0.0005≦u≦0.02を満足する数である)
で表されるユーロピウム(Eu)及びマンガン(Mn)付活アルカリ土類珪酸塩蛍光体、及び
一般式:αMgO・βMgF2・(Ge1−xMnx)O2 …(12)
(式中、α、β、及びxは3.0≦α≦4.0、0.4≦β≦0.6、0.001≦x≦0.5を満足する数である)で表される組成を有するマンガン(Mn)付活マグネシウムフロロジャーマネート蛍光体を含む深赤色蛍光体の少なくとも一つをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の発光装置。 - 前記第1の白色発光ダイオードおよび前記第2の白色発光ダイオードは、前記蛍光体を分散させた蛍光体膜を有する、請求項4または請求項5に記載の発光装置。
- 互いに直列接続で順方向に電気的に接続されたL個(LはM未満の自然数)の第3の白色発光ダイオードと前記第3の白色発光ダイオードに直列接続で電気的に接続され、前記第1の抵抗値よりも高い第2の抵抗値を有する第2の抵抗素子とを備え、前記第1の白色光源および前記第2の白色光源と並列接続で電気的に接続され、前記第2の色温度よりも低い第3の色温度を有し、前記第1の白色光および前記第2の白色光とともに前記混合白色光を構成する第3の白色光を発光する第3の白色光源をさらに具備し、
前記Nは3以上であり、かつ前記Mは2以上であり、
前記第2の白色光源の駆動電圧は、前記第3の白色光源の駆動電圧よりも高い、請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置。 - 前記混合白色光の色温度を1800K乃至2800Kの範囲で変化させることができる、請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置。
- 請求項1ないし請求項8のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置を有する表面を備える基体と、
前記発光装置を覆うように前記基体に設けられたグローブと、
前記基体および前記発光装置に電気的に接続される口金と、を具備するLED電球。 - 前記制御回路は、前記基体の内部に設けられている、請求項9に記載のLED電球。
