前記水可溶成分は、前記高吸水性樹脂を0.9%NaCl溶液で1時間にかけて自由膨潤(free swelling)させた後に測定した時、高吸水性樹脂全体に対して5重量%以下で存在し、

TS(単位:秒)は、0.2gの高吸水性樹脂粉末を0.9%塩水(NaCl)溶液で30分間にかけて膨潤させて塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂を準備し、0.3psiの圧力下で0.9%の塩水溶液が前記塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂を透過するのにかかる時間を意味し、
T0(単位:秒)は、前記塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂なしに0.3psiの圧力下で0.9%の塩水溶液が透過するのにかかる時間を意味する。

[実施例1]
アクリル酸(水溶性エチレン系不飽和単量体)100重量部、NaOH30重量部、potassium igacure 651(光重合開始剤)0.03重量部、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート(架橋剤)0.5重量部、1,6−ヘキサンジオールジアクリレート(架橋剤)0.1重量部、および溶媒の水110重量具を含む単量体組成物を準備した。アクリル酸以外の他の成分の含量は前記アクリル酸100重量部に対する重量部で定義した。前記単量体組成物を10cmの幅、2mの長さを有し、50cm/minの速度で回転するコンベヤーベルト上に、500mL/min〜2,000mL/minの供給速度で供給した。
実施例1の重合体100重量部に対して、エチレンカーボネート0.4重量部、メタノール5重量部、水4重量部を混合してコンベクションオーブンを用いて200℃で40分間表面処理反応を行ったことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で高吸水性樹脂を製造した。
実施例1の重合体100重量部に対して、エチレンカーボネート0.4重量部、メタノール5重量部、水4重量部を混合してコンベクションオーブンを用いて180℃で80分間表面処理反応を行ったことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で高吸水性樹脂を製造した。

実施例1の重合体100重量部に対して、エチレンカーボネート0.4重量部、メタノール5重量部、水4重量部を混合してコンベクションオーブンを用いて210℃で20分間表面処理反応を行ったことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で高吸水性樹脂を製造した。
実施例1の重合体100重量部に対して、エチレンカーボネート0.4重量部、メタノール5重量部、水4重量部を混合してコンベクションオーブンを用いて175℃で90分間表面処理反応を行ったことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で高吸水性樹脂を製造した。

実施例および比較例で製造された高吸水性樹脂の中で、150〜850μmの粒径を有する試料1.0gを250mLの三角フラスコに入れた後、200mLの0.9%NaCl溶液に入れて250rpmで攪拌しながら1時間にかけて自由膨潤(free swelling)させた後、フィルターペーパー(filter paper)で水溶液を濾過した。濾過された溶液を0.1Nの苛性ソーダー溶液でpH10まで1次滴定した後、0.1Nの塩化水素溶液でpH2.7まで逆滴定を実施して得られた滴定量からEDANA法WSP270.3に従って高吸水性樹脂内の水可溶成分の含量(重量%)を計算した。
1)透過率
透過率は文献(Buchholz, F. L. and Graham, A. T., “Modern Super absorbent Polymer Technology,”John Wiley and Sons(1998), page 161)に記述された方法により0.9%塩水溶液を用いて0.3psi荷重下に測定した。
透過率(秒)=TS−T0
2)保持能
保持能測定はEDANA法WSP241.2に従った。30〜50メッシュ(粒径範囲300μm〜600μm)に分級したサンプル0.2gをティーバッグに入れて30分間0.9%塩水溶液にふやかした後、250Gに設定された遠心分離機で3分間水を除去し、重量を測定して高吸水性樹脂が保有している水の量を測定する方式で保持能を測定した。
加圧吸収能(0.7psi AUL)測定方法はEDANA法WSP242.2に従った。具体的に、850〜150μmであるサンプル0.9gをEDANA法で規定するシリンダーに均一に分布させた後、ピストンと錘を用いて0.7psiの圧力で加圧を加え、0.9%塩水溶液が1時間吸収される量で加圧吸収能を計算した。
Claims (7)
- ベース樹脂粒子を表面架橋させた表面架橋重合体粒子、および水可溶成分を含む高吸水性樹脂であって、前記ベース樹脂は水溶性エチレン系不飽和単量体を含む単量体組成物から光重合されたものであり、
前記水可溶成分は、前記高吸水性樹脂を0.9%NaCl溶液で1時間にかけて自由膨潤させた後に測定した時、高吸水性樹脂の全体重量に対して5重量%以下で存在し、
下記式1で計算される透過率が41秒以下であり、
200mlの0.9%NaCl溶液で1時間にかけて自由膨潤させた後に溶出する溶液から測定した時、分子量(M)が100,000〜300,000g/molである水可溶成分の比率(dwt/d(log M))が0.9以下であり、
27〜31g/gの保持能(CRC)を有する
高吸水性樹脂。

(Ts(単位:秒)は、0.2gの高吸水性樹脂粉末を0.9%塩水(NaCl)溶液で30分間膨潤させて塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂を準備し、0.3psiの圧力下で0.9%の塩水溶液が前記塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂を透過するのにかかる時間を意味し、
T0(単位:秒)は、前記塩水−吸収高吸水性樹脂なしに0.3psiの圧力下で0.9%の塩水溶液が透過するのにかかる時間を意味する。) - 20〜26g/gの加圧吸収能(0.7psi AUL)を有する、請求項1に記載の高吸水性樹脂。
- 前記ベース樹脂は、重合体粒子の内部に存在する重合体を架橋させる内部架橋剤の存在下に重合される、請求項1または2に記載の高吸水性樹脂。
- 前記内部架橋剤は、前記単量体組成物に対して0.1〜0.5重量%で存在する、請求項3に記載の高吸水性樹脂。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項の高吸水性樹脂を含む衛生用品。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項の高吸水性樹脂を含むおむつ。
- ベース樹脂粒子を表面架橋させた表面架橋重合体粒子、および水可溶成分を含む高吸水性樹脂であって、前記ベース樹脂は水溶性エチレン系不飽和単量体を含む単量体組成物から光重合されたものであり、
前記水可溶成分は、前記高吸水性樹脂を0.9%NaCl溶液で1時間にかけて自由膨潤させた後に測定した時、高吸水性樹脂の全体重量に対して5重量%以下で存在し、
下記式1で計算される透過率が41秒以下であり、
200mlの0.9%NaCl溶液で1時間にかけて自由膨潤させた後に溶出する溶液から測定した時、分子量(M)が100,000〜300,000g/molである水可溶成分の比率(dwt/d(log M))が0.9以下であり、27〜31gの保持能(CRC)を有する
高吸水性樹脂の製造方法であって、
水溶性エチレン系不飽和単量体、重合開始剤、および内部架橋剤を含む単量体組成物に光重合を行って含水ゲル状重合体を形成する段階;
前記含水ゲル状重合体を乾燥する段階;
前記含水ゲル状重合体を粉砕する段階;
粉砕された重合体に表面架橋剤および水を含む表面架橋溶液を混合して180〜200℃で加熱して表面架橋反応を行う段階;とを含む製造方法。
