Description

一態様において、第1の熱加工システムおよび第2の熱加工システムを構成する方法が提供される。この方法は、第1の加熱トーチで使用するための第1の消耗品、および第2の加熱トーチで使用するための第2の消耗品を提供する工程を含む。第1の消耗品および第2の消耗品はほぼ同一の物理的特性を有する。第1の消耗品は、第1のデータが符号化された第1の信号デバイスに関連付けられ、第2の消耗品は、第2のデータが符号化された第2の信号デバイスに関連付けられる。上記方法は、第1の熱加工システムにおいて第1のトーチに第1の消耗品を取り付け、第2の熱加工システムにおいて第2のトーチに第2の消耗品を取り付ける工程を含む。上記方法はまた、第1の信号デバイスに保存された第1のデータを第1の熱加工システムによって検知し、第2の信号デバイスに保存された第2のデータを第2の熱加工システムによって検知する工程を含む。上記方法は、検知された第1のデータに基づいて第1のトーチを操作するための第1の熱加工システムのパラメータを、第1の熱加工システムにより、第1の値をそのパラメータに割り当てることによって構成する工程を更に含む。さらに、上記方法は、検知された第2のデータに基づいて第2のトーチを操作するための第2の熱加工システムのパラメータを、第2の熱加工システムにより、第2の値をそのパラメータに割り当てることによって構成する工程を含む。第2の値は第1の値とは異なっていてもよい。
別の態様において、熱加工システムを構成する方法が提供される。この方法は、加熱トーチに使用するための消耗品を提供する工程を含む。この消耗品は、トーチへの取り付けを容易にする1つまたは複数の物理的特性を有する。上記方法は、トーチに消耗品を取り付ける工程、トーチを熱加工システムに結合する工程、および消耗品に関連付けられたデータを熱加工システムによって検知する工程を含む。上記方法は、検知されたデータが基準を満たすか否かに基づき、トーチを操作するための熱加工システムの1つまたは複数のパラメータを熱加工システムによって構成する工程を更に含む。
いくつかの実施形態において、上記方法は、熱加工システムによって検知されたデータが存在しない場合、熱加工システムの1つまたは複数のパラメータの構成を阻止する工程を更に含む。
例えば、いくつかの態様において、トーチ内に配置された消耗部品の内部または表面に配置された信号デバイス(例えばデータ保存デバイスまたはデータタグ)202(または信号デバイス1202a〜g)と通信する受信器(例えばデータ読取および/またはデータ書込デバイス)204(または受信器1204a、1204b)を有する熱加工システム(例えば熱加工システムトーチ100)は、システムの制御装置(例えばプロセッサ)206とトーチ内に取り付けられた消耗品との間で情報(例えば、動作命令またはトーチの使用に関する情報)を伝送するために用いられてもよい。

Claims (10)

前記本体に結合されるか前記本体内に組み込まれた読取可能データ保存デバイスを含み、前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、切断または溶接装置のための動作命令を含み、
前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、前記消耗部品を加熱トーチに取り付ける際に加熱トーチの内部に配置され、かつ前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、加熱トーチの内部で読み取り可能であるように構成されている、消耗部品、
トーチの内部で読取可能データ保存デバイスを読み取るための、トーチの内部にあるデータ読取デバイス、および
データ読取デバイスと制御装置との間の通信を可能にするデータ伝送機構
を含み、読取可能データ保存デバイスは、熱加工システムの動作のためのデータを含む、トーチ。 - データ伝送機構は無線接続を含む、請求項1に記載のトーチ。
- 読取可能データ保存デバイスは、稼働中およびトーチの内部に配置されている間のうちの少なくとも一方の間、書き込み可能である、請求項1または2に記載のトーチ。
- データが熱加工システムの性能特性の変更を行うように構成される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のトーチ。

本体、および
前記本体に結合されるか前記本体内に組み込まれた読取可能データ保存デバイスを含み、前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、切断または溶接装置のための動作命令を含み、
前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、前記消耗部品を加熱トーチに取り付ける際に加熱トーチの内部に配置され、かつ前記読取可能データ保存デバイスは、加熱トーチの内部で読み取り可能であるように構成されている消耗部品を受容するように構成された、レセプタクル、
トーチの内部にあるデータ読取デバイス、および
トーチと制御装置との間の通信機能を提供するデータ伝送機構
を含む、トーチ。 - データ読取デバイスは、トーチ内に配置された消耗部品の内部または表面にある読取可能データ保存デバイスと通信するように構成される、請求項8に記載のトーチ。
