- 前記第1プリズムアレイの各個々のプリズムが、前記ディスプレイ装置で生成された光を透過する通過ファセット、及び、前記第1のファセットと前記第2のファセット以外のファセットであって不透明である非通過ファセットを含み、
前記第1のファセットと前記第2のファセットが前記通過ファセットであることを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載のベゼル隠蔽ディスプレイカバー。 - 前記第1プリズムアレイが前記周囲部分の前記第2表面に位置付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のベゼル隠蔽ディスプレイカバー。
- ディスプレイ装置において、
ディスプレイカバーであって、
周囲部分と該周囲部分に境を接している中心領域と、
観察者に面する第1表面およびディスプレイパネルに面する第2表面と、さらに、
前記第1表面または前記第2表面のうちの少なくとも1つに配置され、前記ディスプレイカバーのエッジから前記ディスプレイカバーの前記中心領域に向かって距離Lまで延在している、第1プリズムアレイであって、当該第1プリズムアレイの各プリズムが、第1ファセット、第2ファセットおよび、前記第1ファセットと前記第2ファセットの間のプリズム角度θを有し、前記第1プリズムアレイの前記各プリズムの前記プリズム角度θは、前記周囲部分のエッジから前記ベゼル隠蔽ディスプレイカバーの中心に向かって、距離Lにわたって非線形に減少するものであり、ここで、前記周囲部分の前記エッジと前記周囲部分の前記エッジから距離Lの地点との中間点におけるプリズム角度の減少の割合は、前記周囲部分の前記エッジ近傍におけるプリズム角度の減少の割合および、前記周囲部分の前記エッジから距離Lの地点近傍におけるプリズム角度の減少の割合よりも大きいものである、第1プリズムアレイと、
を含む、ディスプレイカバー、
バックライト、
前記ディスプレイパネルであって、前記ディスプレイカバーの前記第2表面との間に間隙GAが存在するように前記バックライトと前記ディスプレイカバーとの間に位置付けられ、画像を表示するように構成された、ディスプレイパネル、および、
前記ディスプレイパネルの周囲エッジ周りに配置された、幅Wを有するベゼル、
を備えていることを特徴とするディスプレイ装置。 - L=W+GAtan(γ)であり、ここでγは前記ディスプレイパネルの法線に対する観察者の視線がなす角度であり、前記画像のシフトされた部分が当該ベゼルの上に現れることにより前記ベゼルが観察者に見えない状態にある角度の最大値であることを特徴とする請求項6記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1プリズムアレイが、前記周囲部分の前記第1表面に位置付けられていることを特徴とする請求項6記載のディスプレイ装置。
