Description

本開示によれば、液体及びガス状の燃料両用のCPOX改質器であって、

酸素含有ガスインレット、液体燃料インレット、ガス状燃料インレット、又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、第1のヒーターに熱的に連結された第1の加熱ゾーン、内部及び/又は外部の熱源に熱的に連結された第2の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、及び前記液体燃料及びガス状燃料の改質反応ゾーンとガス流連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットを備えるガス流コンジット、
前記液体及びガス状の燃料の改質反応ゾーンの夫々と熱連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物点火器、及び
水素リッチ改質油アウトレットを備える液体及びガス状の燃料両用のCPOX改質器が提供される。
(a)水素リッチ改質油を生成するために前記第1の又は共通の改質反応ゾーン内で酸素含有ガス及び気化された液体燃料を含む第1のガス状改質反応混合物を改質すること、
(b)前記改質ステップ(a)の前又は後で、水素リッチ改質油を生成するために前記第2の又は共通の改質反応ゾーン内で酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料を含む第2のガス状改質反応混合物を改質すること、
(c)改質ステップ(a)から回収された熱が、更なる熱の有無にかかわらず、改質ステップ(b)を開始するために利用されるように改質ステップ(a)から改質ステップ(b)へ移行すること、又は、改質ステップ(b)から回収された熱が、更なる熱の有無にかかわらず、改質ステップ(a)の開始前に液体燃料を気化して前記第2の又は共通の改質反応ゾーンを加熱するために利用されるように改質ステップ(b)から改質ステップ(a)に移行すること、を含む方法が提供される。

Claims (17)
- 液体及びガス状の燃料両用の改質器であって、
液体燃料ガス相改質反応ゾーン、
ガス状燃料ガス相改質反応ゾーン、
酸素含有ガスインレット、前記酸素含有ガスインレットから下流に配置された液体燃料インレット、前記酸素含有ガスインレットから下流に配置されたガス状燃料インレット、又は前記酸素含有ガスインレットから下流に配置された酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、第1のヒーターに熱的に連結されて前記酸素含有ガスインレットから下流に配置された第1の加熱ゾーン、内部及び/又は外部の熱源に熱的に連結されて前記酸素含有ガスインレットから下流に配置された第2の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、及び前記液体燃料及びガス状燃料の改質反応ゾーンとガス流連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットを備えるガス流コンジット、
前記液体及びガス状燃料の改質反応ゾーンの夫々と熱連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物点火器システム、及び
前記液体燃料ガス相改質反応ゾーンと流体連通状態にある水素リッチ改質油アウトレットを備える液体及びガス状の燃料両用の改質器。 - 第2のヒーターに熱的に連結された第3の加熱ゾーンを更に備える請求項1に記載の改質器。
- 前記第1及び第2のヒーターは電気ヒーターである請求項2に記載の改質器。
- 前記第1及び第2のヒーターは電気抵抗ヒーターである請求項2に記載の改質器。
- 前記第2の加熱ゾーンは、前記液体燃料及び/又はガス状燃料改質反応ゾーンを備える外部の熱源に熱的に連結される請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記第2の加熱ゾーンは、燃料セル及び燃料セルアフターバーナーよりなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの外部の熱源に熱的に連結される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 酸素含有ガスインレット及びガス状燃料インレットが共にガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレットを形成する請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記液体燃料及びガス状燃料の改質反応ゾーンが共に共通の液体燃料及びガス状燃料の改質反応ゾーンを形成する請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記コンジットの前記ガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットは、前記液体燃料改質反応ゾーンとガス流連通状態にあり、前記ガス状燃料改質反応ゾーンは、前記コンジットが前記第2の加熱ゾーンに近接した状態又は少なくとも部分的に一致した状態で配置される請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス流コンジットは、上流セクション及び下流セクションを備え、前記コンジット内には、前記上流セクションから下流セクションへ、順に、前記酸素ガス含有インレット、ガス状燃料インレット又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、第1の加熱ゾーン、第2の加熱ゾーン、第3の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、及びガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットが配置される請求項2〜7のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス流コンジットは、上流セクション及び下流セクションを備え、その中に、前記上流セクションから下流セクションへ、順に、前記酸素ガス含有インレット、第1の加熱ゾーン、第2の加熱ゾーン、第3の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、ガス状燃料インレット又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料インレット、及びガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットが配置される請求項2〜7のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス流コンジットは、上流セクション及び下流セクションを備え、前記コンジット内には、その上流セクションから下流セクションへ、順に、前記酸素含有ガスインレット、ガス状燃料インレット又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、前記第2の加熱ゾーンに近接した、又は少なくとも部分的に一致したガス状燃料改質反応ゾーン、第3の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料インレット、液体燃料気化器、及びガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットが配置される請求項9に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス流コンジットは、上流セクション及び下流セクションを備え、前記コンジット内には、その上流セクションから下流セクションへ、順に、前記酸素ガス含有インレット、ガス状燃料インレット又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、第1の加熱ゾーン、第2の加熱ゾーン、第3の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、及び前記共通の液体燃料及びガス状燃料改質反応ゾーンとガス流連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットが配置される請求項8に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス流コンジットは、上流セクション及び下流セクションを備え、前記コンジット内には、その上流セクションから下流セクションへ、順に、前記酸素ガス含有インレット、第1の加熱ゾーン、第2の加熱ゾーン、第3の加熱ゾーン、液体燃料気化器、ガス状燃料インレット又は酸素含有ガス及びガス状燃料改質反応混合物インレット、及び前記共通の液体燃料及びガス状燃料改質反応ゾーンとガス流連通状態にあるガス状改質反応混合物アウトレットが配置される請求項8に記載の改質器。
- 改質反応ゾーンがCPOX触媒を含有する請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- コントローラを備える請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
- 前記ガス状改質反応混合物点火器システムは、前記液体燃料改質反応ゾーンと熱連通状態にある第1の点火器及び前記ガス状燃料改質反応ゾーンと熱連通状態にある第2の点火器を含む請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載の改質器。
