Description
Front-lighting System)と称する配光制御システム、このAFSにさらに配光パターン制御手段を組み合わせたADB(Adaptive Driving Beam)と称する配光制御システムが提案されている。ALSとAFSはランプ光軸の方向を制御する配光制御システムであるが、ADBは、配光パターン制御によってヘッドランプで照射する光のパターン形状を変化制御するので、他車に対する眩惑を有効に防止することができる一方で、自車両の前方の照明領域を可及的に増大する配光制御を行うことが可能になる。特許文献1では、自動車の前部左右に配設した左右のヘッドランプにレベリングアクチュエータ、スイブルアクチュエータ、可変シェード機構を配設し、これらを配光制御ECU(Electronic
Control Unit)により制御することで、当該ヘッドランプのレベリング制御、スイブル制御、配光パターン制御を実行し、さらにこれらの制御を組み合わせることによってADB制御を行っている。

Claims (4)
- 複数の異なる形態での配光制御が可能な前照灯と、これら配光制御の少なくとも1つの形態で前記前照灯を配光制御する配光制御ECUとを備える車両用前照灯の配光制御システムであって、
前記配光制御ECUは、前記複数の形態の配光制御に共通する共通部と、前記複数の形態の配光制御にそれぞれ対応する専用部を搭載することが可能に構成されており、
前記共通部は、少なくともマイコン部と前照灯のランプ光軸を鉛直上下方向に偏向制御するレベリング制御部を含み、
前記専用部は、前記ランプ光軸を水平左右方向に偏向制御するスイブル制御部と、前記前照灯で照射する配光のパターン形状を制御する配光パターン制御部を含み、
共通部のみを搭載したALS配光制御システムと、共通部とスイブル制御部を搭載したAFS配光制御システムと、共通部とスイブル制御部と配光パターン制御部を搭載したADB配光制御システムのいずれかに設定することが可能であることを特徴とする車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。 - 前記配光制御ECUは所定の規格で形成されたケーシングを備え、前記共通部は前記ケーシングに搭載されており、前記専用部は設定された配光制御システムに対応する専用部のみが前記ケーシングに搭載されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 前記共通部には配光制御を行うためのソフトウェアを記憶する記憶部が設けられ、前記共通部は配光制御ECUの外部に接続可能であり、前記記憶部に対して外部からソフトウェアの更新が可能であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 前記共通部ないし前記専用部を前記配光制御ECUに内装し、かつ当該配光制御ECUを車両に搭載した状態で前記記憶部に対するソフトウェアの更新が可能であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
