Description
一般に、本発明の方法、システム及びプログラム製品は、アスリートにフィットネスモニタリングサービスを提供するために用いることができる。本発明の少なくともいくつかの実施形態において、携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス及びコンピュータサーバシステムはフィットネスモニタリングサービスを提供するために相互に交信することができる。
図1及び2に示されるように、身体アクティビティに励んでいるアスリート100は携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス102を装着することができる。携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス102は、身体アクティビティ中にアスリート100によって、着用されるか、持ち運ばれるか、そうではなくとも保持され得る。携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス102は、以下でさらに詳細に説明されるように、アスリート100の身体アクティビティに関する様々なパフォーマンスパラメータを測定及び/または算出するように適合させることができる。術語「パフォーマンスパラメータ」には、アスリート100の身体アクティビティに関する、物理パラメータ及び生理学的パラメータのいずれも含めることができる。測定及び/または算出される物理パラメータには、例えば、時間、場所、距離、速度、ペース、歩数、歩長、歩度、及び/または高度を含めることができる。測定及び/または算出される生理学的パラメータには、例えば、心拍数、呼吸数、血中酸素レベル、血流量、脱水状態、消費カロリー、筋肉疲労、及び/または体温を含めることができる。

本発明のシステムの一実施形態において、アスリート100はフィットネスアクティビティの直前及び/またはフィットネスアクティビティ中に、図1〜4に示されるような、携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス102と対話することができる。
本発明のいくつかの実施形態において、アスリート100が身体アクティビティを終えた後、(アスリート100であってもなくても差し支えない)ユーザは、アスリート100のアクティビティに関する詳細分析情報を閲覧するため、サーバ112によって提供されるウエブサイトに、リモート接続したパーソナルコンピュータ114からアクセスすることができる。先に説明したように、パーソナルコンピュータ114は、例えば、デスクトップコンピュータ、ラップトップコンピュータまたはタブレットコンピュータとすることができる。
本発明のいくつかの実施形態にしたがえば、ユーザは、本発明のフィットネスモニタリングサービスを利用しながら、身体アクティビティ前、身体アクティビティ中及び/または身体アクティビティ後に、携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイス102及び/またはコンピュータサーバ112と他の様々な態様で対話することができる。
本発明の様々な態様、あるいは本発明のいずれかの部分または機能は、ハードウエア、ソフトウエア、ファームウエア、命令がそれに格納されている有形のコンピュータ読出可能またはコンピュータ使用可能な記憶メディアあるいはこれらの組合せを用いて実施することができ、1つないしさらに多くのコンピュータシステムあるいはその他の処理システムで実施することができる。

Claims (12)
- ワークアウトルーチンを生成するための方法において、
あるアスリートに関する個人情報を携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイスから受け取るステップ、
前記アスリートに関するパフォーマンス情報を前記携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイスから受け取るステップであって、前記パフォーマンス情報が、前記アスリートに関してアクティビティ中に測定された最高心拍数及び/又は最高速度を含むステップ、
前記個人情報及び前記パフォーマンス情報に基づいて、複数のインターバル走を含むワークアウトルーチンを生成するステップであって、前記複数のインターバル走の各々の強度目標を、前記最高心拍数及び/又は前記最高速度に基づいて決定するステップ、
1以上のパフォーマンスパラメータ範囲又はゾーンを確立するステップであって、それぞれのパフォーマンスパラメータ範囲又はゾーンは特定の色に関係付けることができるステップ、
前記ワークアウトルーチンを前記携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイスに送るステップ、
第1の領域及び第2の領域を有するターゲットバーを表示するステップであって、前記第1の領域は、前記アクティビティ中における、前記アスリートに関する今のパーフォーマンス情報に対応する色を示し、前記第2の領域は前記強度目標に対応する色を示すステップ、及び
前記アスリートに関する今のパーフォーマンス情報と前記強度目標との相違に応じて、前記第2の領域に対する前記第1の領域の相対的な位置を変更するステップ、
を含み、
前記ステップのそれぞれは少なくとも1つのプロセッサを用いて実行される、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記複数のインターバル走の各々の前記強度目標が、前記最高心拍数及び/又は前記最高速度の所定のパーセントの範囲に対応するように決定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記個人情報が、前記アスリートの年齢、前記アスリートの性別、前記アスリートの体重及び前記アスリートの身長を要素とする群から選ばれる少なくとも1つの要素であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記パフォーマンス情報が、前記アスリートによって行われるアクティビティ中に前記携帯型フィットネスモニタリングデバイスによって記録されたことを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項に記載の方法。
