Claims (6)
- ある圧力の少なくとも1つの非イオン化ガス流と、コロナ放電を誘発するのに充分なイオン化AC信号とを受けとり、下流の標的へ向けて清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流を送出するためのガスイオン化装置において、
非イオン化ガス流を受けとる少なくとも1つの貫通流路と、該貫通流路の下流側端部に配設され清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流を前記下流の標的へ向けて送出するための出口ノズルと、
少なくとも1つのシェル組立体とを具備し、
該少なくとも1つのシェル組立体が、
非イオン化ガス流の一部分がシェル内に進入し得るように貫通流路に連通するオリフィスを有するシェルと、
シェル外部およびオリフィス近傍での非イオン化ガス流の圧力よりも低いガス圧をシェル内部およびオリフィス近傍で提示する少なくとも1つの排出ポートと、
前記AC信号の適用に応答して両極性イオンおよび副生成物を生成するための少なくとも1つのイオン化電極と、
シェルの上流側に配設された少なくとも1つのエダクターとを具備し、
前記少なくとも1つのイオン化電極は、生成されたイオンの実質的部分が非イオン化ガス流内に移動することによって清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流が形成され、かつ、排出ポートガス圧によって非イオン化ガス流の一部分が前記シェルのオリフィス内へ流入して、以って副生成物が排出ポート内に掃気されるように前記シェル内部に配置されており、
前記エダクターが、非イオン化ガス流を受け取るための駆動源接続部と、非イオン化ガス流を下流へ貫通流路に移行させるための排気接続部とを有するガスイオン化装置。 - シェルのオリフィスを通過して非イオン化ガス流内へのイオンの少なくとも実質的な部分の移動を誘発する非イオン化電界を重畳し、以って清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流を形成する少なくとも1つの非イオン化電極を更に具備し、前記非イオン化電極が前記貫通流路の外部に配置され、以って該非イオン化電極が前記清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流から絶縁されるようにした請求項1に記載のガスイオン化装置。
- イオン化電極は、シェルオリフィスに面した鋭利な先端を備えたテーパーのついたピンを具備しており、この先端は、AC信号がピンに加えられたときに、両極性イオンと副生成物を含む概ね球形のプラズマ領域を生成し、かつ
イオン化信号が、イオン化電極のコロナ閾値に少なくとも等しい高周波電気信号であり、それによってプラズマ領域が実質的、電気的にバランスしかつ副生成物を実質的に中和されるようにした請求項1に記載のガスイオン化装置。 - エダクターが少なくとも部分的に貫通流路と連通し、エダクターの排気接続部がシェルオリフィスに対面しており、
非イオン化電位の適用に応答して電界を重畳するための非イオン化電極を更に具備し、該電極が、貫通流路の外部でシェルオリフィスの上流側に配置されている請求項1に記載のガスイオン化装置。 - イオン化電極が少なくとも1本のワイヤを含み、
非イオン化ガス流を受けとり清浄な両極性イオン化ガス流を標的に送出するための第2の貫通流路を更に含んでいる請求項1に記載のガスイオン化装置。 - 非イオン化ガスが電気陽性ガスであり、
イオン化信号が高周波イオン化電気信号であり、
イオン化電極が、電子、陽イオン、陰イオンならびに副生成物を含むプラズマ領域を生成する請求項1に記載のガスイオン化装置。
