Description
本発明によれば、1つに、主要刃先の大部分の領域が荒削り刃として機能するように取り付け角κrは、10〜30°の範囲の間の値に著しく低減され、同時に、主要刃先は、軽度に凸状に構成される。このようにすることによって、切削抵抗が、極めて良好に分布され、従って、著しく低減されることが分かった。ここで、いわゆる「ニュートラルな切削」、すなわち、被処理部材に引っ張り荷重および圧力荷重が生じない切削が行われる。主要刃先の経路を変更することによって、同時に、スピンドルが受けるトルクもより少なくなる。これによって、フライスの実現可能な削り速度を、4000m/分まで上昇させることが可能である。

Claims (11)
- 円周上に分布された多数の平面状の硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)を備える正面フライスであって、上記硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)は、ピッチ円上に来るように刃支持部(16;116)のポケット(18;118)に収容され、上記フライスの処理面(26;EN)に対して90°よりも小さい取り付け角(κr)で取り付けられた主要刃先(24;124)を有しており、
前記主要刃先の大部分の領域が荒削り刃として機能するように前記インサート(20;120)は、前記ポケットに上記取り付け角(κr)が10〜30°の範囲となるように取り付けられ、
上記主要刃先(24;124)は、80〜120mmの範囲の半径(R28;R128)に沿って軽度に凸状に構成されており、
上記主要刃先(24;124)は、仕上げ削り刃部の中央に配置された0.5〜1.5mmの範囲の値を有する小さい移行半径(R30;R130)を介して、サブ刃先(32;132)に移行し、
前記インサート(20;120)は、上記主要刃先(24;124)の軸方向すくい角(γa)が20〜30°の正の範囲となり、かつ、上記主要刃先の半径方向すくい角(γr)が−6〜−10°の負の範囲となるように配置されている、という特徴の組み合わせを特徴とする、正面フライス。 - 上記主要刃先(24;124)は、90〜110mmの範囲の半径(R28;R128)に沿って凸状に構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 前記インサート(20;120)は、上記主要刃先の半径方向すくい角(γr)が−7〜−9°の範囲となるように配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記刃支持部(16;116)に取り付けられた状態の上記硬質材料刃インサートの主要刃およびサブ刃の逃げ角(α)は、8°であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)は、少なくとも刃(24,32;124,132)を把持する、多結晶ダイアモンド(PKD)または立方晶窒化ホウ素(CBN)から成るダイプレート(36;136)を有しており、上記ダイプレートの厚み(D36;D136)は、0.4〜0.6mmの範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記ダイプレート(36;136)は、刃支持プレート(34;134)の上に固定されており、上記刃支持プレート(34;134)の材料は、鋼材料、超硬合金材料、アルミニウム材料、炭素繊維強化プラスチック材料およびガラス繊維強化プラスチック材料から成る群から選択されると共に、2.3〜2.9mmの厚み(D34;D134)を有することを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記ダイプレート(36;136)は、上記刃支持プレート(34;134)に接着されているか、または、ハンダ付けされていることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)は、上記刃支持部(16;116)のポケット(18;118)にハンダ付けされているか、嵌合されているか、または、接着されていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)は、不規則な円周距離(AU)を置いて、隣接して配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。
- 上記硬質材料刃インサート(20;120)は、少なくとも部分的に、コーティングが設けられ、前記コーティングは、磨耗を低減するために、TiN、TiAIN、AITiN、AICrN、および/または、AI2O3に基づく硬質材料コーティングの単一層、複合層、もしくは多層として構成され、またはVDIガイドラインVDI3824第1〜4章、および、VDI2840:2004に基づく硬質の非晶質炭素層(DLC層)で構成され、または、保護層として、WC/C層もしくはMoS2層によって形成されている
ことを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。 - 上記主要刃先(24;124)の方に向けられた開口部を有する冷却剤管(142)が内部に配置されたこと特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の正面フライス。
