Description
インサート成形により127mm×13mm、厚み2mmの架橋ポリエチレン製の電線被覆材から構成されたシートと、実施例および比較例で得られた127mm×13mm、厚み1.2mmの止水体形成用熱可塑性エラストマー樹脂組成物からなるシートを貼り合わせ、それをT型剥離試験装置(INSTRON製、5567P7529)にて25mm/minの試験速度でピーリング応力を測定した。
JIS K7206に準拠して測定した。
ASTM D638に準拠して測定した。
ペレット状に成形された本発明の止水体を構成するための熱可塑性エラストマー樹脂組成物を用いて、図1に示されたコネクタを製造し、このコネクタをアルミ製の冶具にセットして水中にいれ、冶具にチューブを通して当該チューブから止水体4と電線5との間に10.0kPaの圧縮空気を30秒間送り、止水体4とコネクタハウジング部3からの圧縮空気の漏れを観測した。圧縮空気の漏れがない場合、圧縮空気の圧力を10.0kPaずつ200kPaまで上げていった。このとき、漏れが観測されたときの圧縮空気の圧力をシール圧とし、シール圧が100kPa以上のものを十分であるとして合格(符号「○」)、100kPa未満のものを不充分であるとして不合格(符号「×」)とした。
ポリフェニレンエーテル(固有粘度0.45デシリットル/g、クロロホルム中、25℃)1kg、フマル酸30g、ラジカル発生剤として2,3−ジメチル−2,3−ジフェニルブタン(日本油脂社製、ノフマーBC)20gをドライブレンドし、30mm二軸押出機を用いてスクリュー回転数200rpm、設定温度300℃で溶融混練を行った。このときの樹脂温度は約331℃であった。
下記の配合成分を表1〜表3に示す割合(質量部)でドライブレンドした後、二軸押出機を用いシリンダー温度290℃で溶融混練を行い、得られた押出混練物を水槽を通して冷却した後、ペレット化し、樹脂組成物を調製した。得られた樹脂組成物を用いて上記の物性試験の測定を行った。測定結果を表1〜表3に示す。
(A1)酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー
マレイン酸変性スチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体:(旭化成ケミカルズ株式会社製、タフテック M1913、スチレン/エチレンブチレン質量比=30/70、MFR(メルトフローレート。温度230℃、荷重2.16Kgf)=5g/10分、酸価10mgCH3ONa/g)
スチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体:(旭化成ケミカルズ株式会社製、タフテック H1041、スチレン/エチレンブチレン質量比=30/70、MFR(温度230℃、荷重2.16Kgf)=5g/10分)
ホモシンジオタクチックポリスチレン:(出光興産株式会社製、ザレック130ZC、ラセミペンタッドタクティシティート=98%、MFR(温度300℃、荷重1.2Kgf)=13g/10分)
上記で製造したフマル酸変性ポリフェニレンエーテルを使用した。
(1)スチレン系エラストマーに主としてシンジオタクチック構造を有するポリスチレン系重合体(SPS)を添加することによりビカット軟化点が高くなり、耐熱性が向上すると共に、ポッティング法を用いずに、迅速な射出成形によって止水可能止水体を得ることができる。

Claims (7)
- 被覆電線の芯線に接続された端子金具と、前記端子金具の少なくとも一部を収容する端子収容室が設けられたコネクタハウジングと、前記端子収容室内に液体が浸入することを防止する止水体と、を備えたコネクタにおいて、
前記被覆電線の被覆層が架橋ポリエチレンにより構成されかつ前記被覆層の前記端子金具側の端部およびその付近が前記止水体により覆われており、
前記止水体が、
酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)と未変性スチレン系エラストマー(A2)とを含むスチレン系エラストマー成分(A)と、主としてシンジオタクチック構造を有するポリスチレン系重合体成分(B)と、を含有する樹脂組成物であって、
前記酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)と未変性スチレン系エラストマー(A2)との合計量に対する前記酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)の質量比〔A1/(A1+A2)〕が0.9〜0.1の範囲であり、
前記スチレン系エラストマー成分(A)と前記ポリスチレン系重合体成分(B)との質量比が60:40〜90:10の範囲であり、かつ、
前記酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)が、酸変性されたスチレンエチレンプロピレンブロック共重合体、酸変性されたスチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体、酸変性されたスチレンエチレンプロピレンスチレンブロック共重合体、及び、酸変性されたスチレンエチレンエチレンプロピレンスチレン共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1種であるとともに、
前記未変性スチレン系エラストマー(A2)が、スチレンエチレンプロピレンブロック共重合体、スチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体、スチレンエチレンプロピレンスチレンブロック共重合体、及び、スチレンエチレンエチレンプロピレンスチレン共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1種である
熱可塑性エラストマー樹脂組成物により構成されていることを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記質量比〔A1/(A1+A2)〕が0.9〜0.6の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)が酸変性されたスチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体であり、かつ、前記未変性スチレン系エラストマー(A2)がスチレンエチレンブチレンスチレンブロック共重合体であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記酸変性されたスチレン系エラストマー(A1)が、マレイン酸変性スチレン系エラストマーであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記スチレン系エラストマー(A)と前記主としてシンジオタクチック構造を有するポリスチレン系重合体(B)との合計100質量部に対して、さらにポリフェニレンエーテル類(C)1〜10質量部を含有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ポリフェニレンエーテル類(C)が、酸変性ポリフェニレンエーテルであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記酸変性ポリフェニレンエーテルが、フマル酸変性ポリフェニレンエーテルであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のコネクタ。
