Description

Claims (5)
- 1本または複数本の信号ケーブルが金属箔を用いたシールド材でシールドされてなるシールデッドケーブルを少なくとも1本含む複数本のケーブルの端末に取り付けられるコネクタであって、
相手方コネクタと嵌合される嵌合部と、前記嵌合部と接続された基板と、ロケータとを具備し、
前記基板は、複数の電極が一列に配置された電極列と基板側位置決め手段とを備え、
前記ロケータは、前記シールデッドケーブルの信号ケーブルと前記シールデッドケーブル以外のケーブルとがそれぞれ挿通される複数の貫通孔が一列に配置された貫通孔列と、前記貫通孔列に沿って前記貫通孔列と隣接する接着剤適用部と、ロケータ側位置決め手段とを備え、
前記電極列は前記基板の両面にそれぞれ設けられ、
前記ロケータには前記基板の両面の前記電極列に対応して前記貫通孔列が2つ設けられており、
前記基板側位置決め手段は前記基板の一辺に形成された幅狭部とされ、
前記ロケータ側位置決め手段は前記2つの貫通孔列の間に形成された挿入孔とされ、
前記基板と前記ロケータとは、前記幅狭部が前記挿入孔に挿入されることで相互に位置決めされ、
前記複数の貫通孔に挿通された前記シールデッドケーブルの信号ケーブル及び前記シールデッドケーブル以外のケーブルに含まれる導線は、前記複数の電極にそれぞれ接続されて、前記導線と前記複数の電極との接続部位が前記基板上の結線部を構成し、
前記結線部は前記貫通孔列に対し、前記接着剤適用部とは反対側において前記貫通孔列と隣接し、
前記接着剤適用部は前記基板の板面に垂直な方向の少なくとも1つの向きに向かって開放されており、
前記シールデッドケーブルの信号ケーブルの前記シールド材にシールドされた部位と前記シールド材から露出された部位との境界が前記接着剤適用部に位置した状態で、前記複数本のケーブルは接着剤で前記接着剤適用部に固定されていることを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 請求項1に記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記接着剤適用部は前記基板の板面と平行な板状部を有していることを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 請求項2に記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記複数本のケーブルには複数の導線の束でなるドレインケーブルが含まれており、
前記ドレインケーブルは前記貫通孔列の端に位置する前記貫通孔に挿通される構成とされ、
前記板状部の端縁には前記貫通孔への前記ドレインケーブルの挿通を案内する側壁が形成されていることを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 請求項1に記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記接着剤適用部は前記結線部と反対側において前記複数の貫通孔の開口が位置する壁面とされていることを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載のコネクタにおいて、
前記嵌合部の一部、前記基板、前記ロケータ及び前記複数本のケーブルの端末を収容するバックシェルをさらに具備し、
前記バックシェル内部の、収容された前記嵌合部の一部、前記基板、前記ロケータ及び前記複数本のケーブルの端末が存在しない空間には樹脂材が充填されており、
前記ロケータの、前記貫通孔列に含まれる相対的に小径な貫通孔に隣接する部位には、前記樹脂材の充填時に樹脂材が流動する溝が形成されていることを特徴とするコネクタ。
