上記数学式1及び2において、nxは、フィルムの面方向において最も屈折率が大きい方向の屈折率であり、nyは、フィルムの面方向においてnx方向の垂直方向の屈折率であり、nzは、厚さ方向の屈折率であり、dは、フィルムの厚さである。
1.重量平均分子量:製造された樹脂をテトラヒドロフランに溶かし、ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)を用いて測定した。
2.ガラス転移温度(Tg):TA Instrument社の示差走査型熱量計(DSC)を用いて測定した。
3.ヘイズ値及び光線透過率:ASTM D1003の方法に基づいて測定した。
4.靭性:厚さ60μmのフィルムを手で曲げたときに切れるか否かの有無を測定しており、10回行ったときに1回も切れない場合を◎、1回〜3回切れる場合を○、5回以上切れる場合を×と示した。
5.熱膨張係数(CTE):Perkin Elmer社のPyris 6 DCSを用いて測定した。
6.カール特性:偏光板の合紙後に製品を恒温恒湿室(25℃、50%RH)に24時間保管後、偏光板の曲率を測定した。
7.位相差:Ellipso Tech社のElli−SEを用いて測定した。
8.樹脂組成:C13−NMRを用いて測定した。
9.イエローインデックス(YI):ハンター研究所のカラーメーターを用いて測定した。
Claims (14)
- 単量体混合物100重量部に対し、65〜92重量部のメチルメタクリレート単量体、3〜15重量部のベンジルメタクリレート単量体及び5〜20重量部のメタクリル酸単量体を含む単量体混合物、及び重合溶媒を含む重合溶液を用意する段階と、
前記重合溶液を120〜160℃の反応温度で連続塊状重合法によって反応させて4元共重合体を生成する段階と、
脱揮発槽で反応生成物から未反応単量体及び溶媒を除去して光学フィルム用樹脂組成物を生成する段階と、を含む、光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法であって、
前記未反応単量体及び溶媒を除去する段階は、重合転換率が60〜80%に到達するとき、220〜280℃の温度及び10〜50Torrの真空度で、生成物内の残留単量体含量が500〜4,000ppmになるまで行われ、
前記4元共重合体は、メチルメタクリレート単位と、ベンジルメタクリレート単位と、メタクリル酸単位と、グルタル酸無水物単位と、を含み、
前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物は、メチルメタクリレート単位55〜93重量部と、ベンジルメタクリレート単位2〜20重量部と、メタクリル酸単位1〜10重量部と、グルタル酸無水物単位3〜15重量部と、を含む4元共重合体樹脂組成物であることを特徴とする製造方法。 - 前記重合溶液において、前記単量体混合物と前記重合溶媒との重量比が90:10〜50:50である、請求項1に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記重合溶液は、重合開始剤、分子量調節剤及び酸化防止剤からなる群より選択された1種以上をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記重合溶媒は、トルエン、エチルベンゼン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)及びジメチルアセトアミド(DMAC)からなる群より選択された1種以上である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記未反応単量体及び溶媒の除去段階の後、形成された共重合体を押出して樹脂ペレットに形成する段階をさらに含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物は、重量平均分子量が5万〜20万である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物は、ヘイズ値が0.1〜3%である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物は、イエローインデックス値が0.3〜2.0である、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルム用樹脂組成物の製造方法よって製造された前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物を、溶液キャスト法または押出法を用いてフィルム状に製造する段階を含む、光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記フィルム状の前記光学フィルム用樹脂組成物を一軸または二軸延伸する段階をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルムは、面方向の位相差値が0〜10nmであり、厚さ方向の位相差値が−5〜10nmである、請求項9または10に記載の光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルムは、熱膨張係数が50〜70ppm/Kである、請求項9から11のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルムは、面方向の位相差値が0〜10nmであり、厚さ方向の位相差値が−5〜10nmであり、熱膨張係数が50〜70ppm/Kである、請求項9から12のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルムの製造方法。
- 請求項9から13のいずれか一項に記載の光学フィルムの製造方法によって製造された前記光学フィルムを偏光子の少なくとも一面に付着する段階を含む、偏光板の製造方法。
