2)式:CH2=CR(CH2)〔式中、Rは炭素数1〜8のアルキル基である〕で表されるβ−メチル置換α−オレフィン単量体、
3)式:CH2=CHR1〔式中、R1は−OR2又は−CH2OR2(但し、R2は水酸基を有するアルキル基)である〕で表される水酸基含有単量体、および、
4)架橋性官能基を有さず、かつ、前記単量体1)、2)、3)と共重合し得る他の単量体から導かれるフッ素含有共重合体を挙げることができる。
金属箔層となるアルミニウムの両面に化成処理を施し、一方の化成処理面に、基材層となる延伸ナイロンフィルムを2液硬化型ポリウレタン系接着剤を介してドライラミネート法により貼り合わせ第1積層体を作製した。次に、片面にのみブラスト処理が施されたポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムのブラスト処理されていない面を前記第1積層体のアルミニウム箔面と対向させ、溶融押出しした酸変性ポリプロピレン樹脂によりラミネートした。その後、ポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムのブラスト処理が施された面の上に接着促進剤を塗布して乾燥させた後、酸変性ポリプロピレン樹脂を溶融押出するとともに、熱接着性樹脂層となる滑剤が添加されたポリプロピレン樹脂を酸変性ポリプロピレン上に溶融押出し、さらに160℃に加熱し、延伸ナイロンフィルム(厚さ25μm)/接着剤/両面化成処理が施されたアルミニウム(厚さ40μm)/酸変性ポリプロピレン樹脂(厚さ15μm)/接着促進剤/ポリエチレンナフタレートフィルム(厚さ12μm)/接着促進剤/酸変性ポリプロピレン樹脂(厚さ15μm)/ポリプロピレン樹脂(厚さ30μm)から構成される本発明1にかかる電気化学セル用包装材料を得た。なお、本発明1にかかる電気化学セル用包装材料ではポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムに施されたブラスト処理面の中心線表面粗さRaは118nmであった。
次に、上記作製した各包装材料を60mm(MD方向)×150mm(TD方向)に裁断しTD方向に2つ折りにし、対向する2辺を加熱及び加圧により熱接着し(シール条件:シール温度190℃、面圧1.0MPa、シール時間3秒)、折り返し辺と対向する辺が開口するパウチを形成した。次に、開口部から3gの電解液(6フッ化リン酸リチウムを混合液(エチレンカーボネート:ジエチルカーボネート:ジメチルカーボネート=1:1:1の容積比で混合した溶液)に溶解し、1mol/Lの6フッ化リン酸リチウム溶液としたもの)を注入し、開口部を7mm幅で熱接着(シール条件:シール温度190℃、面圧1.0MPa、シール時間3秒)した。次に開口部を上向きにして60℃の恒温槽に168時間保存した。
[ヒートシール時の短絡発生の評価]
次に、上記作製した各包装材料を60mm(MD方向)×150mm(TD方向)に裁断しTD方向に2つ折りにし、ニッケルタブ(幅4mm×長さ80mm×厚さ70μm)を挟持した。次に、テスターの正極端子をニッケルタブにセットし、負極端子を包装材を構成するアルミニウムにセットした。次に、正極端子および負極端子間に電圧25Vを印加し、ニッケルタブを挟持した部分を含み、ニッケルタブの長さ方向と垂直な方向に7mm幅でシール温度190℃、シール圧1.0MPaでそれぞれシールを行い、ニッケルタブとアルミニウム間の絶縁性が低下し短絡が発生する抵抗値が1000MΩ以下になる時間(以下、絶縁性破壊時間(秒)とする)をそれぞれ測定し、下記の表2にまとめた。

- 正極活物質及び正極集電体から成る正極と、負極活物質及び負極集電体から成る負極と、前記正極及び前記負極間に充填される電解質と、を含む電気化学セル本体を収納し周縁部をヒートシールすることで前記電気化学セル本体を内部に密封収納する外装体に用いられ、
基材層と、表面に耐酸性被膜を備えた金属箔層と、熱接着性樹脂層とを、少なくとも順次積層して構成される電気化学セル用包装材料であって、
前記金属箔層は少なくとも前記熱接着性樹脂層側の面に耐酸性被膜を備え、
前記金属箔層と前記熱接着性樹脂層との間にはポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムが配され、前記ポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムは、酸変性ポリオレフィン層を介して前記熱接着性樹脂層と接着し、少なくとも前記熱接着性樹脂層側の面は中心線表面粗さが118nm以上325nm以下の微細な凹凸を有するとともに接着促進剤層が形成され、
前記熱接着性樹脂層はランダムポリプロピレン、ホモポリプロピレン、ブロックポリプロピレンのいずれかから成り、低結晶性のエチレンーブテン共重合体、低結晶性のプロピレンーブテン共重合体、エチレンとブテンとプロピレンの3成分共重合体からなるターポリマー、シリカ、ゼオライト、アンチブロッキング剤、脂肪酸アマイド系のスリップ剤のいずれかが添加されたことを特徴とする電気化学セル用包装材料。 - 前記ポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムは酸変性ポリオレフィン層を介して前記金属箔層と接着していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気化学セル用包装材料。
- 前記ポリエチレンナフタレートフィルムはフッ素系接着剤層を介して前記金属箔層と接着していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気化学セル用包装材料。
