Description
[0011]本発明の原理の理解を進めるために、本発明の具体的な実施態様の説明を以下に記載し、具体的な実施態様を説明するために特定の用語が用いられる。しかし当然のことながら、特定の用語の使用者によって本発明の範囲が限定されることは目的としない。説明された本発明の原理の変更、さらなる改変およびさらなる用途は、本発明に係る当業者にとって一般的に想定し得るものと考えられる。
[0058]この実施例において、22nmのシランで改変されたシリカ粒子、および、油を含む金属酸化物分散物を製造した。初期pHが9であり、50%のSiO2を含み、基準の比表面積が135m2/gの水性コロイドシリカゾル(520g)を、陽イオン交換樹脂(水素の形態)、陰イオン交換樹脂(水酸基の形態)および最終的に陽イオン交換樹脂(水素の形態)で連続的に処理した。最終的なゾルは約1.9のpHを示し、47質量%のSiO2を含んでいた。この最終的なゾル(428g)と1−プロパノール(1454g)を均一になるまで混合し、この混合物に45.3gのメチルトリエトキシシランを撹拌しながら添加した。この混合物を3時間撹拌した。2リットルの丸底フラスコに1207gの1−プロパノールを入れて、続いてこれを、蒸留するための実験操作に共同して用いるコンデンサーに連結した。1−プロパノールを沸騰させた。プロパノールが濃縮し始めて、受け取り用のフラスコに移動したら、脱イオンしたゾルを丸底フラスコにポンプ注入し、フラスコ中で一定の体積を維持した。全ての脱イオンしたゾルをポンプ注入し終わったら、フラスコの内容物には、およそ15%のSiO2が含まれていた。この液体はわずかに濁っており、ゲル化または沈殿の兆候を示さなかった。この混合物を3時間加熱還流し、シラン処理反応を完了させた。このフラスコ中でゲル化または凝固の兆候は観察されなかった。この時点で、水に添加された数滴のこの混合物はシリカの凝固および沈殿を引き起こし、これは、シリカ表面が改変されていることを示す。
[0061]続いて、実施例1で製造された金属酸化物分散物を、表1に記載の比率でゴム配合物に包含させた。混合物「I」は本発明に係るゴム物品を構成する混合物であることを特徴とし、それに対して混合物「C」は比較用の混合物であることを特徴とする。表1に記載された全ての混合物実施例において、記載されている量は、全体のゴムの100質量部に基づく質量部である(phr)。

Claims (19)
- 油中に懸濁した35ミクロン以下の平均粒径を有する金属酸化物粒子を含む油性の分散物を含むエラストマー組成物のための添加剤であって、該分散物は、該分散物の合計重量を基準にして10重量%未満の、水及び水混和性溶媒を含み、該金属酸化物が、アルミナ、シリカ、ジルコニア、チタニア、マグネシアまたはこれらの混合物を含む、前記の添加剤。
- 該金属酸化物が、燻されているか、コロイド状か、ベーマイト処理されているか、沈降されているか、ゲルか又はこれらの混合物である、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 金属酸化物粒子が、コロイド状シリカを含む、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 該分散物が、異なる形状、サイズ、組成又は性質を有している少なくとも1種の他の金属酸化物の粒状体を含む、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 該油がプロセスオイルを含む、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 該分散物が、該分散物の合計重量を基準として5重量%未満の水及び水混和性溶媒を含む、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 該金属酸化物粒子が疎水化剤で処理されている、請求項1に記載の添加剤。
- 水中で金属酸化物粒子の分散物を形成すること、
該分散物から水を除くこと、そして
該金属酸化物粒子へ油を加えて分散物を形成すること
を含む、油中に懸濁した金属酸化物の粒状物を含む油性の分散物を含むエラストマー組成物のための添加剤を製造する方法であって、
該分散物が該分散物の合計重量を基準にして10重量%未満の、水及び水混和性溶媒を含み、該金属酸化物が、アルミナ、シリカ、ジルコニア、チタニア、マグネシアまたはこれらの混合物を含む、前記の方法。 - 水を水混和性溶媒で置換し、油と金属酸化物との粒状物の分散物の形成前にこれを除く、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- 金属酸化物粒子が、コロイド状シリカを含む、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- 該分散物が、異なる形状、サイズ、組成又は性質を有している少なくとも1種の他の金属酸化物の粒状体を含む、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- 該油がプロセスオイルを含む、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- 該分散物が、該分散物の合計重量を基準として5重量%未満の水及び水混和性溶媒を含む、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- 該金属酸化物粒子が疎水化剤で処理される、請求項8に記載の添加剤を製造する方法。
- エラストマー及び請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の添加剤を含むエラストマー組成物。
- 金属酸化物粒子が、コロイド状シリカを含む、請求項15に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 該組成物が、異なる形状、サイズ、組成又は性質を有している少なくとも1種の他の金属酸化物の粒状体を含む、請求項15に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 該組成物が、該組成物の合計重量を基準として5重量%未満の水及び水混和性溶媒を含む、請求項15に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 該金属酸化物粒子が疎水性化剤で処理されている、請求項15に記載のエラストマー組成物。
