Description

Claims (7)
- 流体噴出装置の圧電素子のキャパシタンス変化を補償する方法であって、
圧電素子を駆動している電流を検知し、
該電流から該圧電素子のキャパシタンスが変化したことを判定し、
該変化したキャパシタンスが高キャパシタンスである場合に、該圧電素子を駆動しているFETのターンオン時間を増大させることにより該圧電素子を駆動している電流の立ち上がり時間を増大させて該変化したキャパシタンスを補償する、
という各ステップを含み、
前記FETのターンオン時間を増大させる前記ステップが、該FETのゲートと直列のインダクタを含めて該ゲートに供給される充電を低速化させるステップからなる、流体噴出装置の圧電素子のキャパシタンス変化を補償する方法。 - 前記変化したキャパシタンスが低キャパシタンスである場合に、前記圧電素子を駆動している電流の立ち上がり時間を縮小させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記立ち上がり時間を縮小させる前記ステップが、前記圧電素子と直列の抵抗を削減するステップからなる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記立ち上がり時間を縮小させる前記ステップが、前記圧電素子を駆動している前記FETのターンオン時間を縮小させるステップからなる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記FETのターンオン時間を縮小させる前記ステップが、該FETのゲート電圧を上昇させるステップからなる、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記キャパシタンスが変化したことを判定する前記ステップが、
前記検知された電流の値を使用してキャパシタンスを計算し、
該計算したキャパシタンスを所定の期待されるキャパシタンスと比較する、
という各ステップを含む、請求項1ないし請求項5の何れか一項に記載の方法。 - 流体噴出装置の圧電素子のキャパシタンスの変化を補償するシステムであって、
流体噴出装置のノズルを介して流体を噴出させるための圧電素子と、
該圧電素子を駆動するための駆動回路と、
該駆動回路と該圧電素子との間に直列に配設された検知抵抗であって、該圧電素子への電流を監視し及び前記駆動回路へ電流情報をフィードバックするための検知抵抗と、
前記圧電素子を駆動するドライブFETと、該ドライブFETのゲートと直列のインダクタとを含む、前記駆動回路の内部のキャパシタンス補償手段とを備えており、
前記監視された電流が大きすぎる場合に、該ドライブFETが該圧電素子への電流の立ち上がり時間を増大させるように、前記インダクタが該ドライブFETのゲートに供給される充電を低速化させて該ドライブFETのターンオン時間を増大させる、
流体噴出装置の圧電素子のキャパシタンスの変化を補償するシステム。
