電池部303の低電位側出力端子VOLから取り出された電力は、DC−DCコンバータ制御器302、スイッチ201、207、チョークコイル202、コンデンサ203により構成された第2の降圧型DC−DCコンバータにより降圧され、第2出力として出力2端子から出力される。従って、出力2端子に設定可能な最高電圧は低電位側出力端子VOLの電圧となる。
さらに、DC−DCコンバータ制御器302は、電池部制御信号を生成し、電池部303の電池部制御信号端子(CR)に入力する。電池部制御信号は、スイッチ101又はスイッチ201がオン状態となるタイミング情報や、これらスイッチのオン−オフ間隔の長さを示す情報を含む。スイッチ101又はスイッチ201がオンのとき、電池部303から電力が取り出されるが、オフの時には電池部303は、出力する必要はないので、この期間で電池部303の構成変更や充電量の監視処理を行うことができる。
電池部303の低電位側出力端子VOLから取り出された電力は、スイッチ502を経て、第2の降圧型DC−DCコンバータであるリニアレギュレータ504により降圧され、第2出力として出力2端子から出力される。従って、出力2端子に設定可能な最高電圧は、低電位側出力端子VOLの電圧となる。スイッチ502は出力制御器505からの第2のスイッチ信号を入力し、それに基づいて電池部303の低電位側出力端子VOLとリニアレギュレータ504の接続または遮断を行う。
え、前記スイッチ群は、前記残容量測定部による測定結果に基づいて、前記第1及び第2
の電池の内で残容量が多い方の電池を前記一方の電池として選択することも本発明の好ま
しい態様である。これによって、電源システム内で、自律的に双方の電池の残容量をバラ
ンスさせることが可能になる。
Claims (7)
- 複数の電池の各々に含まれる残容量を測定し、
前記複数の電池の一部から出力する要求を受けた場合に、前記複数の電池のうち、前記測定された残容量が多い電池から優先して出力し、
出力スイッチのオフ状態の時間長を監視し、
前記オフ状態の時間長が第1の所定値以上になることの検出又は予知に基づいて、電池切替制御信号を生成し、
前記電池切替制御信号が生成され、かつ、前記測定された残容量に基づいて前記複数の電池の切替えが要求されていることに基づき、前記複数の電池の接続を切り替える
ことを特徴とする電源制御方法。 - 複数の電池の各々に含まれる残容量を測定し、
前記複数の電池の一部から出力する要求を受けた場合に、前記複数の電池のうち、前記測定された残容量が多い電池から優先して出力し、
出力スイッチのオフ状態の時間長を監視し、
前記オフ状態の時間長が第2の所定値以上になることの検出又は予知に基づいて、充電切替制御信号を生成し、
前記充電切替制御信号が生成されていることに基づき、前記複数の電池の接続を充電モードに切り替える
ことを特徴とする電源制御方法。 - 前記充電モードは、
前記複数の電池の各々について独立して、前記測定された残容量と充電容量に基づいて充電を行う
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電源制御方法。 - 電池出力要求信号が発生していない間に、前記複数の電池の接続が切り替えられる
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の電源制御方法。 - 複数の電池の各々に含まれる残容量を測定し、
前記複数の電池の各々について独立して、前記測定された残容量と充電容量に基づいて充電し、
出力スイッチのオフ状態の時間長を監視し、
前記オフ状態の時間長が第3の所定値以上になることの検出又は予知に基づいて、電池切替制御信号を生成し、
前記電池切替制御信号が生成され、かつ、前記測定された残容量に基づいて前記複数の電池の切替えが要求されていることに基づき、前記複数の電池の接続を切り替える
ことを特徴とする電源制御方法。 - 複数の電池の各々に含まれる残容量を測定し、
前記複数の電池の各々について独立して、前記測定された残容量と充電容量に基づいて充電し、
出力スイッチのオフ状態の時間長を監視し、
前記オフ状態の時間長が第4の所定値以上になることの検出又は予知に基づいて、充電切替制御信号を生成し、
前記充電切替制御信号が生成されていることに基づき、前記複数の電池を、前記充電を行う接続に切り替える
ことを特徴とする電源制御方法。 - 電池出力要求信号が発生していない間に、前記複数の電池の接続が切り替えられる
ことを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の電源制御方法。
