測定は、別に記載がない限り、23±2℃の環境温度及び50±10%の相対空気湿度で実施される。吸水性ポリマーは、測定前に良く混和する。
0.3psi(2070Pa)の圧力負荷下での膨潤されたゲル層の液体通過性は、EP−A0640330号中の記載と同様に、高吸収性のポリマーからなる膨潤したゲル層のゲル層透過性として測定され、この場合上記の特許出願明細書第19頁及び図8に記載の装置は、ガラスフリット(40)がもはや使用されず、プランジャー(39)が円筒体(37)と同様のプラスチック材料からなり、今や全載置面にわたって均一に分布するように21個の同じ大きさの孔を含むように十分に変更した。測定の方法及び評価は、EP−A0640330号に対して不変のままである。通過流量は、自動的に捕捉される。

上記式中、Fg(t=0)は、g/秒でのNaCl溶液の流量であり、これは、流量測定のデータFg(t)の線形の回帰分析に基づいてt=0に対する外挿法によって得られ、L0は、cmでのゲル層の厚さであり、dは、g/cm3でのNaCl溶液の比重であり、Aは、cm2でのゲル層の面積であり、かつWPは、dyn/cm2でのゲル層上の静水圧力である。
吸水性ポリマー粒子の遠心保持能力は、EDANA(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association)によって推奨された試験方法No.441.2−02"遠心保持能力(Centrifuge retention capacity)"によって測定される。
14.6kgのアクリル酸ナトリウム(水中37.5質量%の溶液)及び1.4kgのアクリル酸を、架橋剤としての11.2g〜336gの15エトキシ化されたトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートと混合した。該溶液を、加熱され窒素雰囲気で充填された液滴化塔(Vertropfungsturm)(180℃、12mの高さ、2mの幅、並流で0.1m/sのガス速度)中に液滴化した。計量供給速度は、16kg/hであった。液滴化プレートは、170μmの穿孔を37個有していた。液滴化プレートの直径は、65mmであった。開始剤を、液滴化装置の直前で、スタティックミキサを介してモノマー溶液と混合した。開始剤としては、2,2′−アゾビス[2−(2−イミダゾリン−2−イル)プロパン]ジヒドロクロリドを水中に溶かした15質量%の溶液を使用した。開始剤溶液の計量供給速度は、0.224kg/hであった。液滴化塔からのガス出口温度は130℃であった。得られたポリマー粒子の平均粒径は、270μmであった。
Claims (11)
- a) 少なくとも1つのエチレン性不飽和モノマー、
b) 少なくとも1つの架橋剤、
c) 少なくとも1つの開始剤、
d) 水
を含有するモノマー溶液の液滴を、該液滴を取り囲む気相中で重合させることによって、吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する方法であって、当該重合が前記液滴中で均質相において行われる、方法であって、
前記モノマーa)が少なくとも1つの酸基を有し、かつ、当該モノマーa)が少なくとも90モル%の範囲でアクリル酸であり、かつ、
前記モノマーa)の酸基が、少なくとも部分的に中和されており、かつ、
前記モノマー溶液が、前記モノマーa)に対して少なくとも0.5質量%の架橋剤b)を含有し、かつ、
前記ポリマー粒子が、少なくとも0.84の平均球形度を有するとともに、250〜600μmの平均直径を有し、かつ、

- 請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法により製造できる吸水性ポリマー粒子。
- 請求項7に記載のポリマー粒子であって、該ポリマー粒子の少なくとも90質量%が、100〜800μmの直径を有することを特徴とするポリマー粒子。
- 請求項7又は8に記載のポリマー粒子であって、該ポリマー粒子は、その少なくとも0.5質量%の範囲が、重合導入された架橋剤b)で構成されている、ポリマー粒子。
- 請求項7から9までのいずれか1項に記載のポリマー粒子の使用であって、衛生製品の製造のための使用。
- 請求項7から9までのいずれか1項に記載のポリマー粒子を含有する衛生製品。
