Description
また、シールドを有し、グリース潤滑で用いられる玉軸受に関して、潤滑性を向上し、長寿命化を図る技術としては、例えば、耐熱性に優れたグリースを用いることが知られている(特許文献2参照)。
しかしながら、特許文献1および特許文献2などに記載の転がり軸受では、軸受内部空間内に充填できるグリース量に限度があるため、更なる長寿命化を図ることが困難であった。
図1に示すように、転がり軸受1は、内輪2および外輪3と、この内・外輪間に介在する複数の玉4と、この玉4を円周方向等間隔に保持するポケットが設けられた保持器5と、内・外輪の軸方向両端開口部に設けられた環状のシール部材6とを備えてなる。この転がり軸受1は、内輪2と外輪3と保持器5とシール部材6とで構成される軸受内空間に封入されたグリース8によって潤滑される。
この実施形態では、上記軸受内空間を構成する部材の1つとして、シール部材6の軸受内空間側表面に、グリース用の補助剤と、樹脂との混合物7を固定させている。
また、グリース成分との相溶性から高濃度で配合できないグリース用添加剤であっても、上記構成により添加成分がグリースとの相溶性を維持しつつ徐々にグリースに供給されるため、グリースに対して結果的に高濃度で配合することができ、該添加剤による効能を長時間維持することができる。
なお、本発明はこれらの実施形態に限定されるものではなく、適宜な変形、改良なども可能である。シール部材6としては、鋼板製のシールド以外に、例えば、鋼板で補強されたシールがあり、シールの材質をニトリルゴム、アクリルゴム、シリコンゴム、フッ素ゴムなどの合成ゴムを素材としてもよい。
グリースを構成する基油としては、例えば、パラフィン系鉱油、ナフテン系鉱油などの鉱油、ポリブテン油、ポリ-α-オレフィン(以下、PAOと記す)油、アルキルベンゼン油、アルキルナフタレン油、脂環式化合物等の炭化水素系合成油、または、天然油脂やポリオールエステル油、りん酸エステル油、ジエステル油、ポリグリコール油、シリコーン油、ポリフェニルエーテル油、アルキルジフェニルエーテル油、フッ素化油等の非炭化水素系合成油等、一般に潤滑グリースの基油として使用されている油であれば特に限定することなく使用できる。これらの基油は、単独または 2 種類以上組み合せて用いてもよい。
(1)シール部材の軸受内空間側表面に接着剤として樹脂層を貼り付け、その表面に補助剤層を貼り付ける方法、
(2)(1)の樹脂層と補助剤層とを積層して貼り付ける方法、
(3)補助剤と、樹脂とを混合して得た混合物を接着剤によりシール部材の軸受内空間側表面に貼り付ける方法、
(4)補助剤と、接着剤である樹脂とを混合して得た混合物をシール部材の軸受内空間側表面に貼り付ける方法、
(5)補助剤を樹脂溶媒に溶解してなる樹脂塗料組成物をシール部材の軸受内空間側表面に塗布する方法等を用いることができる。
表1に示すグリース用の補助剤と、2液型エポキシ樹脂(ニチバン社製:アラルダイト AR-S30)とを混合し、樹脂塗料組成物を得た。この樹脂塗料組成物をシール部材の軸受内空間側表面に塗布し、40℃、24 時間乾燥させ、グリース用の補助剤が固定されたシール部材を得た。このシール部材を転がり軸受(軸受寸法:内径 20 mm、外径 47 mm、幅 14 mm )の両側に装着して軸受試験片を得た。この試験片を下記に示す高温高速耐久試験に供し、軸受寿命時間を測定した。結果を表1に併記する。
得られた試験片に表1に示すグリースを 0.7 g 封入し、軸受外輪外径部温度 150℃、ラジアル荷重 67 N 、アキシアル荷重 67 N の下で 10000 rpm の回転数で回転させ、焼き付きに至るまでの時間を軸受寿命時間として測定した。
グリース用の補助剤を使用せず2液型エポキシ樹脂(ニチバン社製:アラルダイト AR-S30)のみをシール部材の軸受内空間側表面に塗布し、40℃、24 時間乾燥させ、エポキシ樹脂が固定されたシール部材を得た。このシール部材を転がり軸受(軸受寸法:内径 20 mm、外径 47 mm、幅 14 mm )の両側に装着して軸受試験片を得た。この試験片を上記高温高速耐久試験に供し、軸受寿命時間を測定した。結果を表1に併記する。

Claims (5)
- 内輪と、外輪と、この内・外輪間に介在する複数の転動体と、この転動体を保持する保持器と、前記内輪および外輪の軸方向両端開口部に設けられたシール部材とを備え、前記内輪と前記外輪と前記保持器と前記シール部材とで構成される軸受内空間に封入されたグリースによって潤滑される転がり軸受であって、
前記軸受内空間を構成する部材の少なくとも1つの部材において、該部材の前記転動体との摺動面以外の軸受内空間側表面に、前記グリース用の補助剤が固定されてなり、
前記グリース用の補助剤は、発泡剤、酸化防止剤、および昇華性のある物質から選ばれる少なくとも1つであり、
前記グリース用の補助剤は、前記シール部材の軸受内空間側表面に接着されたエポキシ樹脂に含まれた状態で固定され、
前記グリース用の補助剤が前記エポキシ樹脂に含まれた状態で固定される際に、該補助剤の割合が、該補助剤と前記エポキシ樹脂との合計に対して、10 重量%以上であることを特徴とする転がり軸受。 - 前記発泡剤は、有機系の発泡剤から選ばれる少なくとも1つであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の転がり軸受。
- 前記有機系の発泡剤は、アゾジカルボンアミドであることを特徴とする請求項2記載の転がり軸受。
- 前記酸化防止剤は、アミン系酸化防止剤であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の転がり軸受。
- 前記昇華性のある物質は、ベンゾトリアゾールおよびその誘導体であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の転がり軸受。
