すべての化学品は、商業的供給源から得て、特記のない限り、受領した状態で使用した。界面活性剤トマドル(TOMADOL)25−9は、トマー・ケミカル社(Tomah Chemical Co)より入手た。架橋剤サイメル(CYMEL)301、サイメル(CYMEL)327、及び触媒サイキャット(CYCAT)4040は、サイテック・インダストリーズ社(Cytec Industries Inc.)より入手した。ポリエチレンイミン架橋剤エポミン(EPOMIN)SP012は、アセト社(Aceto Corp.)より入手した。ポリイソシアネート架橋剤スタール(STAHL)XR5305及びカルボジイミド架橋剤スタール(STAHL)XR5577は、スタール・インターナショナル(Stahl International)より入手した。アジリジン架橋剤CX−100は、DSMネオレジンズ(DSM Neoresins)より入手した。アクリレート/メラミン−ホルムアルデヒド分散液ロープレックス(RHOPLEX)3208は、ローム・アンド・ハース社(Rohm and Haas Co.)より入手した。この分散液は、約34〜35重量%のアクリル結合剤と、約8〜9重量%のホルムアルデヒド−メラミン架橋剤とを含む。ビスフェノールAエポキシジアクリレート(CN120)は、サートマー(Sartomer)より入手した。架橋剤は、20重量%イソプロパノール希釈液として使用したサイメル(CYMEL)301を除き、すべて、20重量%水希釈液として使用した。サイテック(CYTEC)4045は10重量%水希釈液として使用した。
スルホポリエステルAは、次のように調製した。3.79リットル(1ガロン)のポリエステル製ケトルに、111.9g(5.5mol%)の5−ソジオスルホイソフタル酸、592.1g(47.0mol%)のテレフタル酸、598.4g(47.5mol%)のイソフタル酸、705.8gのエチレングリコール、599gのネオペンチルグリコール、0.7gの酸化アンチモン、及び2.5gの酢酸ナトリウムを入れた。混合物を撹拌しながら、345kPa(50psi)で230℃まで窒素下で2時間加熱し、その間に水の発生が観察された。温度を250℃まで上昇させ、その後圧力を減少し、真空(26.7Pa(0.2torr))を適用し、温度を270℃まで上昇させた。材料の粘度は45分の間に上昇し、その後、高分子量の、透明で、粘稠なスルホポリエステルが排出された。このスルホポリエステルは、DSCによって、70.3℃のTgを有することが見出された。理論的なスルホネートの当量は、スルホネート1モル当たりポリマー3847gであった。500gのポリマーを、2000gの水と450gのイソプロパノールとの混合物に、80℃で溶解した。続いて、イソプロパノール(及び水の一部)を除去するために温度を95℃に上昇させた。最終的な分散液は、スルホポリエステルAの固形分12重量%の水分散液からなった。
イートマンケミカル社(Eastman Chemical Co.)からのイーステック(EASTEK)1100は、約30重量%のスルホポリエステルBの水分散液からなった。
スルホポリエステルCは、スルホポリエステルA及びBの重量比91:9の混合物の12重量%水分散液からなった。
実施例1は、水溶液の総量を基準にして、12重量%のスルホポリエステルCと、3.6重量%(スルホポリエステル固体を基準にして30重量%)のサイメル(CYMEL)301と、0.05重量%(サイメル(CYMEL)301を基準にして1.5重量%)のサイキャット(CYCAT)4045と、0.15重量%のトマドル(TOMADOL)25−9と、からなる水溶液として調製された。混合順序は次の通りであった。水、界面活性剤、結合剤、架橋剤、及び触媒。各添加と添加との間に、溶液を完全に混合した。
実施例2〜4及びC1〜C8は、表1に記載の材料を使用したことを除いて、実施例1に関する記載の通りに調製した。
可使時間:24時間後、コーティング溶液を、不安定性の徴候について評価した。
2.スルホポリエステル固体を基準にして10重量%のCX100
本出願では、以下の態様が提供される。
1. 多層光学フィルムと、前記多層光学フィルムの上に配置されたプライマー層と、を含み、前記プライマー層が、スルホポリエステルと架橋剤とから本質的になる、光学物品。
2. 前記架橋剤がメラミン−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂を含む、態様1に記載の光学物品。
3. 前記スルホポリエステルが、水溶性スルホポリエステル又は水分散性スルホポリエステルを含む、態様1に記載の光学物品。
4. 前記スルホポリエステルが、スルホン化イソフタル酸、イソフタル酸、及びテレフタル酸からなる群から選択される1つ以上のジカルボン酸モノマー類と、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、及び1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールからなる群から選択される1つ以上のジオールモノマー類と、を含む、態様1に記載の光学物品。
5. スルホポリエステルの架橋剤に対する比が約1:1〜約20:1である、態様1に記載の光学物品。
6. 前記プライマー層が約30〜約500nmの厚みを有する、態様1に記載の光学物品。
7. 前記プライマー層が少なくとも約50℃のTgを有する、態様1に記載の光学物品。
8. 前記多層光学フィルムが、反射フィルム、偏光フィルム、反射偏光フィルム、拡散混合反射偏光フィルム、拡散フィルム、輝度向上フィルム、転向フィルム、ミラーフィルム、又はこれらの組み合わせを含む、態様1に記載の光学物品。
9. 前記多層光学フィルムが、第1及び第2の光学層の交互層を含み、前記第1及び第2の光学層がそれぞれ第1及び第2のポリマーを含み、前記第1及び第2のポリマーが、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、セルローストリアセテート、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、ポリカルボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリイミド、ポリアミド及びこれらのブレンドからなる群から選択される、態様1に記載の光学物品。
10. 前記プライマー層上に配置された微細構造化層を更に含み、該微細構造化層が複数の微細構造を有する構造化表面を含み、かつ該構造化表面が前記物品の外側表面を含む、態様1に記載の光学物品。
11. 前記微細構造化層がハロゲンを含まない、態様10に記載の光学物品。
12. 光学物品を作製する方法であって、多層光学フィルム上にプライマー組成物をコーティングし、それによってプライマー処理された多層光学フィルムを形成する工程であって、前記プライマー組成物がスルホポリエステルと架橋剤とから本質的になる工程と、前記プライマー処理された多層光学フィルムを少なくとも一方向に任意に伸長する工程と、を含む、方法。
13. 前記プライマー処理された多層光学フィルムが元の長さを有し、伸長が前記プライマー処理された多層光学フィルムを該元の長さの少なくとも6倍まで伸長することを含む、態様12に記載の方法。
14. ディスプレイパネルと、1つ以上の光源と、態様1に記載の物品と、を含む、ディスプレイデバイス。
Claims (1)
- 多層光学フィルムと、
前記多層光学フィルムの上に配置されたプライマー層であって、スルホポリエステルと架橋剤を含み少なくとも24時間の可使時間を有するプライマー溶液から形成されてなり、且つ、前記スルホポリエステルと前記架橋剤とから本質的になる、プライマー層と
を含み、
前記架橋剤がメラミン−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂を含み、
前記スルホポリエステルが、
スルホン化イソフタル酸、イソフタル酸、及びテレフタル酸からなる群から選択される1つ以上のジカルボン酸モノマー類と、
エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、及び1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールからなる群から選択される1つ以上のジオールモノマー類と
を含む、光学物品。
